Thanks man, this is very helpful because I'm like 48 years old and so I just picked up a board off of the internet for 40 bucks. It had independent trucks on it and good wheels, but a lot has changed since I skated in my late teens and early twenties, so I wasn't sure what I was getting. All I know is that the trucks and the wheels are legit, but the board just doesn't feel right, it feels rigid and.. I can't explain it, it just doesn't feel right so I'm thinking this one is not legit... I think the person who sold it to me either knowingly or unknowingly sold me a board that the wheels had been switched on. I can imagine a myriad of circumstances why somebody would put good trucks and wheels on a generic board, but nevertheless, I think I'm stuck with a bunk board. So now Im probably going to have to go back on Craigslist for elsewhere and use the tips you have taught here to try and get myself a legit bored because if for no other reason at all, it just doesn't feel right skating it... I remember skating felt very natural and like your one with the board, but this board feels like it's just... Separate from me, if that makes any sense. It just don't feel right! I took a picture of it and tried to post it online to see if any other images would come up that I could check the brand but it doesn't turn up any thing that looks remotely like the image on the bottom of this board. It doesn't help that half of the image is scraped off either... But also, I'm kind of suspicious that it's not legit because the grip tape looks like it was factory installed. I don't know about these days, but back when I was skating, your bored came with no grip tape and you had to buy that separate. The only time I've seen boards come with grip tape pre-installed is when they are generic and you get them from Big 5 or some other Big box store. So unless something has changed and you can now buy legit skateboards with grip tape pre-installed, I'm definitely thinking that this is a generic.
