My Night Vision LEDs are real. There's a easy way to check it. Just take your smartphone open the camera app, point it at the mini camera, now turn on the mini camera and start recording at a dark place, if you look at your camera in the smartphone, you will see the Night vision LEDs turn on and light up if they are real. You can't see it with the eye, only via the camera app on your smartphone.
Hi Fred hope you’re well. I’ve seen the crt 3900 on RU-vid I don’t think I’m thick but I don’t fully understand what the D/A E/B F/C bands are or what frequency they are? Please help me if you can.
Hi David. Not 100% on the 3900 but the 6900 is pretty much the same. They are programable via a USB connector and a computer. When you buy in the UK the A-E bands are normally pre programmed across the radios freq range typical 26-30 MHz in channel steps. The last band F is normally programmed to the UK FM CB band. Depends where you buy of course but is a reason to maybe pay a little bit more and buy from Knights etc.
of 4 SQ11 cameras ordered, only 1 was real. 1 had this plastic LED part, and 2 had real LEDs, but the pictures were gruesome. very bad resolution and a lot of snow in the picture. only 1 real one had good resolution, good picture, and working LEDs. So this is not a 100% guarantee that if real LEDs are built in, the camera will be real. as I said I have 2 pieces with real LEDs but compared to the original, very bad picture.
I wanted to get a cheap little camera to put inside a model rocket, so I got the one for ~£3, and it didn't work. I took it apart, the IR LEDs were fake, and the battery was dead. When I powered it with a power supply, it did record but with very wrong colours. Then I got one for £9, it works and the IR LEDs are real.
I think I got a fake too so I made a teardown video before I saw all these other ones already on RU-vid. My camera has dummy LED's in place of real ones. I suppose it saves a bit of power !
The ir lights are real on my fake. But they are not that bright. A way to test them is to point them at another security camera in night vision. If the ir lights are real you’ll see a bright light when they are on.
Hey @Fred in the Shed 2 ? . . . . Thx for the video, BUT: Why didnt ya put in the name/manufacturer of the fake one in the description for us? (otherwise it seems like such a waste of time for you to have made & uploaded your video discovery here - (unless I happened to miss you speaking of it in the video?)
Hm i got scamed too my camera have only 2 modes (camera) (photo) and the quallity is horrible :( (480p like, 7 mins of video took like 800 mb of space) but my night vision works (on 10 cm but it works :D)
Every sq camera I have ever bought has been a fake. Pretty sure it's a scam run by SQ. Somehow they get a few real reviewers to show us a 1080p camera. Then we all buy the 480p fakes. For $4 the fakes are good. I stick with Mobius or onepaa or foxeer to get something good.
