My first official flight in Falcon BMS 4.33 with ghostdog688. Join me in this let's play-through of Falcon BMS. Falcon BMS is a modernization of the 1998 Falcon 4.0 flight simulation. BMS 4.32 UPDATED to 4.33 updates the graphics, fixes alot of the bugs, and possible in the future adding new aircraft to fly. Recorded and Rendered in 60fps.

Good job of flying man! Just remember that in flying formation or in AA refueling that a little stick input goes a long way. Kinda like changing lanes at highway speeds in a car, just a little bit of steering wheel movement can get you moving on over. Once you get that PIO (pilot induced oscillations) going its best to back off and stabilize. If you don't you find yourself chasing your corrections. Welcome to Falcon BMS!

Fun stuff! I used to fly Falcon 3.0 in the 90's, but found BMW 4.33 and Falcon 4.0 on Steam. Now attempting to get my hands on a HOTAS Cougar to get flying again. I'll be referring back to this vid for its good instruction.

Oh, I had faith. That you would get it off the ground and around the skies. But that landing just seemed to happen of its own accord. One minute you're flying above the end of the runway, the next you taxiing at the other end. No drama to speak of. It was very well done.

ONe of the best tutorial for F-16 and I enjoyed every bit of it. However it was painful to see you not having a TrackIR5. It would've made your life so much easier. Nevertheless, thanks to your vid, I managed to learn how to fly it in one go. Kudos.

If you want to make the game look better, you can download the toms cockpit model and baltic campaign. Crash Laobi has a tutorial on this!

if you don't want to spend $100-$200 you could consider ED Tracker, which uses a gyroscope and accelerometer. you can build it yourself or by the pre made version. it's quite a bit cheaper and works nicely. the downside is that you need a cable attached to the device on your head and you 'only' get 3DOF (rotation). It registers itself as a joystick, but you can convert it to track ir protocol with the free software 'OpenTrack'

Good video! How do you control the view? Track IR or mouse or hotas? I don't know how to control the view with the mouse... And when I set the view on a 4 way hat on my hotas, it doesn't work.

Amazing video Sir, I am new to BMS and it was quite helpful. I am having just a little bit of problem, my pixels are not stable and anti aliasing does not seems to be working even on max settings. The second thing is that how do you lean your cockpit camera to see other buttons if you don't have TrackIR. Help would be appreciated. Awesome channel!

For the sec question, you just need to press the middle mouse button and move it forward to simulate the head leaning forward.

im new to BMS and i have a question. I made a little mission myself where i have to take off and perform the procedures that you do. I get the plane ready for take off, but i cannot communicate with the tower, any suggestions why that might happen? I followed the exact same instructions as you in the video...

Matsimus Gaming yep, I download Falcon BMS every couple of years but get turned off for some reason or another. I'm not sure why, but the part I've always loved about it (even before BMS) is the dynamic campaign and the feeling of being just a cog in a conflict. The radio traffic alone is great.

What was the control you use to move your head forward (not zoom) when you had to flip the switch that was infront of the arm rest

Oh, I get it now, the problem is that I don't know WHICH, button I press on the keyboard to make the aircraft Taxi, like on flight it's...shift and Ctrl, but for it to turn on the ground I don't know how...huh..

About that backup radio setting, the instructor says 'two two five zero zero zero', you are looking at it and it reads 2 5 5 0 0 0. He repeats in a different form 'two twentyfive zero zero zero' So what should it be on, 225 or 255 ?

Doesn't matter, you're not using the backup radio.

So my radio read off as 225.000 at the time, but as others have alluded to, it’s not that important unless you are using it for backup. Try and remember that at the time of recording I was flying my own aircraft and could see anything of Matsimus’.

I know that in the past BMS required you to have a copy of falcon 4. But I believe that is no longer the case, can you confirm this one way or the other? Do I need to own a copy of falcon 4?

I know your comment is 4 months old but it bugged me that no one answered. You need a valid copy of Falcon 4.0 to run BMS. Yes, you could probably spoof it with a pirated copy but you may as well save yourself the hassle and buy the Falcon Collection on GOG or Steam for less than 10 quid. It's usually on sale as well.

i wish i could get this game to work, how ever i try my warthog wont work and maping is a nightmare:/ tried thrustmaster TARGET scripts but no luck. would otherwise love to fly with you guys and perhaps be better aswell from some training

Stop using your rudder to ry to coordinate your turns, FLCS doe sit for you , you are just counteracting the effect here. DONT TOUCH RUDDER WHEN FLYING ;)

You should really invest in a trackIR. While there are good pilots who don't use trackIR, there are no great pilots who don't use trackIR.

+Matsimus Gaming one word of advice when youre doing formation flying use minute corrections on the flight stick or youll end up chasing your corrections like you did on takeoff. Be gentle with the f-16 even though its meant to pull 9.5g, dont be afraid to take her slow and steady. (btw wait till you have to do aerial refuelling. Good luck with training)

Welp your lead does know a fair amount but he was off on several points of operation on how the aircraft works. Best to just say you don't know something rather than trying to baffle someone with the BS to appear like you know it all.

I apologise for any inaccuracies but at the same time I admit there were intentional simplifications and things skipped so as to not overwhelm a new player. That and the fact that I have no formal qualifications as a real-life pilot nor as an instructor should be obvious; but I simply passed on what I had learned. I trust from your commentary that you can offer a similar or superior level of coaching and development and would greatly love to hear what corrections, if any, I can apply to my lessons that are within the scope of a flight sim and suitable for someone with under 10 hours in BMS.
