I'm in the US, specifically NY state. The state requires, regardless of species, a 8x8 enclosed with barred windows and a fly through to an 8x8 weather area attached with guarded entrance to both to prevent accidental escape. I enjoy your channel, I like to see the similarities and differences as well as the good information contained.

my HH lives in the house from mid October till early may. I will take her out hunting hare down to -12 to -14 . But I go with one hand bare. When my hand is uncomfortable I figure she is and back to jeep to warm up again.
Ideally it should work both ways , especially the roof , but also try and make sure fresh air can get in too. Somewhere in that playlist is a video about keeping them cool also …
In the U.K. when my birds were housed on loop perched even the ‘ beast from the east’ winter had no I’ll effects on them . But if you feel heating would help I wouldn’t run it overly hot and use a small tubular heater bolted to the wall a few inches beneath their roosting perch . Thyre a good constant heat and used to be low cost to run! We also use a couple of red heat lamps and reflectors and guards here for other birds but these are high cost to run as 250w each . I inherited them hence why they are used
