Saw two unexpected animals this trip, a bear and a cat of some sorts. After looking at the blurry video, it looked like a bobcat maybe and not a mountain lion. Wish I was able to get the bear, it was walking along the bank and then sat down and started to sniff the air. It was a pretty sweet sight to see, but also got my heart pumping.

Thank you for sharing your time and awesome videos. I love fishing back country lakes and streams. I am in my 60's now, I find it hard to hike/carry what I used to. I greatly appreciate your videos! Always, Paul (Canby, Oregon)

I think the cat may have been a lynx. Had some high back legs and a typical slow lynx stride

Yeah, I think you are right. No way it was a lion, had no orange or yellow color at all.

No irritating bugs, cooler weather, most people are hunting, now is a great time to go fish.

I know falls a great time to fish before it gets really cold. Maybe during the winter you'll get a chance to land that giant if you go ice fishing up there again. Good luck & tight lines.

Hey buddy, there is no way for me to get into this lake in the winter unless I had a snow machine, Maybe in the future I’ll get one.
