Agree!! I’m trying to resist the urge to shop for fall decor this year. Things are weird and everything is so expensive. I think I’ll just get creative with what I’ve already got on hand.
It’s funny how we do not need all the latest and newest things but we buy a piece of land and continue to want the newest things and that big beautiful new build . No matter what, there will always be something we want.

Amy, you are such a blessing. I try to remember to be thankful when cleaning my home. I know not everyone has a home and so even when I am scrubbing my kitchen sink or toilet, I always try to remind myself that there are others in the world without a sink or toilet to clean. We are so blessed.

This was so inspiring Amy. I will give thanks today as we are going through a necessary renovation, because some pipes broke upstairs. It's been since June so it's gotten very tiring. We are doing much of the work ourselves. The Lord chose to answer a petition of the state of our old 1900 home the day after the prayer with the broken pipe. It has definitely afforded us to Reno things we otherwise would not have been able to do. Be careful what you ask for. LOL. Your kitchen looks so good.❤

I just can’t justify buying the newest and latest greatest in seasonal decor, I only buy mew when a decor piece starts falling apart (after many repairs and gorilla glue😅). Like you, Amy, simple touches and a lot of natural and woodsy items go a long way in changing up decor. I am not a “kitschy” type of seasonal decorator like my mother was and many of my friends are- no scarecrows, cornstalks or things like that, more like changing out my white ceramic napkin and salt and pepper shakers for copper and brass, a copper pitcher with greenery, a carved squirrel with an acorn between some plants on my sideboard, an amber vase with faux fall flowers (I am allergic to the real things, hence live green plants that do not flower), changing out my table runner for a “fall” one (muslin with just some bine embroidery in greens, rusts, slate blue and mustard). Cleaning my home before changing out decor items just helps transition from season to season, I change up what I put in my diffusers (Thieves EO is part of that transition since this is when many viruses start appearing). I always love how you decorate.
I absolutely love this vlog. I was walking my dogs around my backyard yesterday. I was in PJ's and my shoes were wet because the grass was wet. I was about to sigh because I was a mess, but I looked up and saw the most beautiful sunlight coming through the trees. My mind instantly went to the old hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness." God gave me that moment. Others could see the beauty in the moment, but that second was just for me. I love enjoying peace in the midst of the normal that is my life...and that is a blessing.

Love the simple, seasonal decor. I always use pears in my fall decor along with pumpkins. I agree that wood, especially cutting boards really give a kitchen a feeling of warmth. I am 72 and have had a little kitchen counter lamp for years and years. Its seems to be becoming a thing now. The glow is so homey and cozy. The only thing that would make your kitchen perfect, for me... is to see a tree growing out that beautiful widow. Some arching branches and leaves would frame the view.

Everything looks great . Amy I recently heard from the doctor who wrote Wheat Belly said oatmeal is not a healthy food . It spikes insulin and is not good for you. I know they have told us it is good for the heart … not so apparently.

I am so thankful I found you! I have been looking for someone with just the right touch of décor without being cluttered or black and white check everywhere. I love your simple yet elegant cottage chick mixed with modern farmhouse style. I want to thank you for reminded me to thrift and antique more often as well. I lost my husband in 2016 and had to downsize a lot in 2020 when I had to sell my large 4 br family home of 26 years. I am realizing I kept too much for my little 3 br 1 bath I have now. Well I didn’t know a cleaning and decorating video would make me cry but here I am as I straighten up my kitchen 😅🤧 it is so tight and lately I have been feeling the same exact feeling. I finally, after 7 years of being pregnant, new born stage, breastfeeding, have found the next chapter of our lives and I have a little more time and it’s such a crazy feeling. I do Lots of reflecting as I go throughout my day to day and I’m so grateful for every seasons and stage of life we’ve been through raising our little family! Thank you for the reminder
Perfect video! Your combination of lovely wooden items and ‘bringing the outdoors in’ is wonderful. I’ve seen many vlogs where content creators are buying more and more ‘fall decor items’, but in addition to the unnecessary expense of purchasing new stuff every year, I find the ‘decor’ is kind of boring and lacks the charm of ordinary everyday items that hold memories, or make us happy because they cost us very little to buy.

A couple of years ago I watched a RU-vid video, a housecleaning routine. A woman in the comments that was experiencing homelessness said she wished she had a home to clean. She didn’t sound bitter or angry but she longed for what she had had in the past. That really brought me up short! Even if our house is small and simple or old fashioned we can be grateful for it.
Girl look at your arms they look so fit. 👍 good job. You motivate me to workout. At least to want to workout 🤷♀️ im trying. I am scared of going to the gym. So many guys. I dont want a creep looking at me. You did say you will make a video on how you lost weight. Can you still do that? Show us what you ate or drank at the beginning also intermittent fasting how you did that also workouts you picked at the beginning. Do you think its a good idea to just go walking to lose weight or should i add strength training to get my skin tight? Do you have a trainer at the gym?
