Braised Short Ribs with Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Green Beans
Ingredients:
For the Short Ribs:
- 4-6 bone-in beef short ribs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 large carrots, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 2 cups red wine
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Damn Good All-Purpose Seasoning
- 1 tsp Hot Damn Umami Seasoning
For the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:
- 4-5 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 6 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Butter Me Up, Garlic! Seasoning
- Fresh chives for garnish
For the Green Beans:
- 1 lb green beans, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
For the Short Ribs:
1. Season the short ribs and sear in olive oil until browned.
2. Sauté vegetables, deglaze with red wine, and add broth, herbs, and tomato paste.
3. Braise in the oven at 325°F for 2.5-3 hours until tender.
For the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:
1. Boil potatoes with garlic until tender.
