Chamallow is the French way of saying marshmallow candy. The CH is pronounced SH. Otherwise, marshmallow is translated « guimauve ». 🎉😊 and de Caen means « from the city of Caen », it’s in Normandy. 🌷🌸🍁

Hi Janey, when you plant your tulips and daffodils could you show us how you plan where you plant them, how to layer them and how to irrigate them please? ☺🙏 I will be planting mine for the first time and I have no idea how I'm supposed to set it all up and where to even start. Hi Maria! I will definitely show you! We are so dry here, you want to make sure they all get water so I would set some irrigation up for yours! I plant them with bulb food (usually the EB stone brand from Green Acres) and also sprinkle some Repels-All to keep the squirrels from snacking on them! I just started pre sprouting my anemone corms (knowing it’s not super necessary) but from what I saw, you can pretty much plant them any way and they’ll correct themselves but in general Floret recommends point down because the flat part is where the stalks shoot up from

Cannot express how much happiness my bulbs brought me this Spring, particularly the anemones and ranunculas which were just the most gorgeous shades and lifted my entire garden. I pre soaked only, but it did ensure that every corm planted in fact sprouted as I could see which were healthy and plump. Your garden is going to look outrageously pretty come Spring!

Instead of doing rows of flowers, bulbs look so much nicer in groups of 5 or 8. They stand out and you can plant other flowers, taller in the middle of your flower bed and lower flowers or ground covers, towards the edge. ( White dwarf snap dragons or dwarf asters, white alyssum, pink lobelia,....and taller flowers like cosmos and delphinium or pink larkspurs to name just a few). Go on, I dare you!

I love all the bulbs you purchased Janey and your video bloopers are hilarious! I have always wanted to grow bulbs, but I am a little hesitant because I have never seen them grown in anyone's garden here. Do you know anyone who's had success growing bulbs in zone 10b South Florida?

Do plant some bulbs! I live in 10b in California, and have very good luck with Iris, ranuculus, caladiums, alliums, and anemomes. Also dahlias and freesias.

@@gardeningfun7657 Thank you so much 😊 That gives me hope. I have planted Caladiums and Dahlias in the past and they both grew very well, unfortunately my Dahlia’s get attacked by spider mites every time. The caladiums have been pest free thankfully. 😁 Happy gardening

I just got my bulb order from colorblends and lucky for my husband Eden Brothers are sold out of everything that I wanted from your haul because I was about to order more 😂 those will be so pretty! Are you going to plant tulips in your containers by your pool? I think that would look so beautiful! Like an arrangement like clause Dalby does by your pergola.

Hi Janey. You had mentioned planting your tulip bulbs around Xmas time. When do you plant your daffodils? Would it be the same timeframe if we were to plant bulbs in pots? I am pre-chilling my tulips and have other bulbs ready to plant. I want to try the various spring flower pots like Claus Dalby. Thank you for your helpful videos.

Bulbs!!!! I took your advice and asked my coworker to pick me up a few bags of tulips from Costco because I don't have a membership 🤣 they're in my garage fridge right now. I'm in zone 8A Southeast Virginia, and I've planted tulips before but with mixed results. Most varieties don't do well. There are some hardier ones that do, but I hope by pre-chilling them this year I will have success with all of my bulbs! Thank you!!

Lovely mix of everything. Many, many yrs ago Becky from Brent and Becky's bulb was on Martha Stewart, she suggested if you can't tell which way is up plant them sideways. When do your Daffs show up, curious if you guys are way ahead of us.
