I think my favorite part of this is at the end when he's burning in the sun and the way he sings during that part he uses a very exaggerated vocal fry, but the way is done makes it sound like he's screaming in agony, and i think the way it goes along with the visual aspect of the video is just so engaging and well done. I love that.

I’m not a huge fan of theater really, but I’d absolutely love to see this preformed as Broadway production! It would be so so good

This is a gothic masterpiece

I liked this version a 100% more than the original version. Not because of the added lyrics, or the outstanding video and not even the brilliant use of the metaphors to create this revamped version. What makes this better is the fact that the original had a horrible clash of arrangement and video to the lyrics of the song. The original's arrangement and video made it almost light-hearted and jokey, while the lyrics are anger, pain and desperation. This version conveyed that far better, capped off by the final fry screamed chorus.

That part where Ronnie said, "Hi, my name is Ronnie. I'm an addict." I just felt the chills from there. Keep it metal. \m/

So amazing. I personally feel the revamped version connects better with the intent of the lyrics. Showing an emotional maturity and willingness to be vulnerable over a serious topic. Same goes for The drug in me is reimagined. You can't help but feel touched emotionally especially in combination with the incredible visuals.

I went to Romania years ago to drive around and see the nation. Driving through the mountains was really something. The towns not so much, concrete and well. beside the point. Amazing nature, and people where really kind. My only issue was actually only when I left, I drove into Hungary. And the border guard said that he and his team standing further down would have to turn my car inside out, and it would take hours.. unless I could pay ofc. ( I am from Scandinavia, he saw that it my passport so I am sure that played a role ) So me never bribed anyone, never even thought about it, not really something that happens up here at all. So I asked how much money he wanted, he shook his head, " Ohh he didn't know, what would I think was fair " Me having no clue one way or the other, not that it mattered the only cash I had was a 50 Euro note, so I took that and tried handing it to him.. he backed of, "no no no, what you doing" he said "... I looked at him, and he pointed to the cameras.. I was like, ehm okay, so how do you want the money, he said " put it in your passport ". so I did, he took it and seemed very happy with 50 euros and waved to his friends that all was good and they should let me through. That was an experience. I always thought if something like that would happen on that trip it would be in Romania, not Hungary. But in Romania people where just nice. It was a very interesting trio. I've been around most of Europe. and Romania is really something very different compared to most other nations in Europe.

I think this version really pulled out the dichotomy of the meaning. The way I interpret it is a story showing them both watching each other pull themselves into the addiction, and then trying to save each other, but realizing they both were going to just harm themselves in the process.

Oh regarding band thinking about versions. There are, to my knowledge, only Ronnie left from the 2010 OG band. He is a workaholic and his demand on band members where to much for many of them. I think Jacky Vincent is the only one leaving on good terms. He was the solo one gutarist in the old band and Derek Jones died soon after Dereks wife died of cancer.

The original is called Im not a Vampire and is on Drug in me is you album The drug in me is you. Basic genre is/was Metalcore/Punk/Rock aso aso. Now the OG fans call the genre Ronnie. Check out his Mixtape here on RU-vid as it was free and does not exist on 🍏 Music or Spotify
