Learn how to make the beautifully textured Falling Leaves Stitch with this easy to follow and complete video tutorial! Start to finish instructions for a 4 row repeat. The leaf stitch is a unique stitch created by working a modified puff stitch around a stitch from 2 rows below in the pattern. This creates fabulous texture and a unique appearance. Fun and easy!

Love this! Making a table runner with this stitch. Did you carry your yarn up the side when you changed colors or did you fasten off the yarn? Thank you for this wonderful pattern!

I am so glad you like it! I fastened off - but if you were to add a border edge to cover those yarn jogs up the side that would be a great thing to do - so many less edges to weave in! 😊

So glad you found this tutorial helpful! 😊 There are so many crochet borders that would look great with this stitch. I think something that would let the texture of this stitch shine would be a more simple border perhaps a hdc in the third loop like the one I used for this blanket here (free crochet pattern) would look great: nanascraftyhome.com/aurora-skies-ribbed-crochet-baby-blanket-free-pattern/
