Fallout 4 Has the BEST WORLD in Gaming! 

I have never and will never understand all the hate that Fallout 4 gets. It is BY FAR my favorite Fallout game. It is also in my top 5 favorite games of all time!

The Fallout series has always been a favorite of mine. I started with 3, probably like most people now, and progressed backwards through 1, 2, Brotherhood, and Tactics. I enjoyed every game a ton. Fallout 4 has a very, very special place in my heart as it's the very last game I played with(in front of) my grandmother before she died. I love the world, the story(even if it's a little bland and not as deep as I'd like), the characters, and the gameplay. I have literal thousands of hours in Fallout 4, and I'm glad to see you putting some positive light on the game. I appreciate you, and the incredible amount of work and passion you clearly put into this video.

I just like worlds stuck in time, like how Fallout is stuck in the retro futurism 1950s

I was kinda surprised that you didn't mention the horde of ghouls that are made up of your neighbors that got caught in the nuclear blast. I figured you would after mentioning them standing outside the vault gates.

Frankly I agree i have played most games and nothing has been as fun for me then Fallout 4 i have completed it 6 times and still to this day i always go back and find my passion for it stays the same

This game highlights the real strength of Bethesda - environmental storytelling. There are so many cool mini stories like this that i generally come back for a playthrough about every year and STILL find new details 5 playthroughs later. Its a shame they cant write a main quest to save their lives, but despite all the downfalls of this game i still love it. Also i figured you were going to bring up my favorite distress call story about the family that got locked into their bomb shelter underneath their scrap yard, where they had to send out a desperate plea for someone to restore power to open the door so they can get oxygen. Unfortunately youre the first person to respond to their call after 200 years sooo.... Anyway solid video man!

I have almost 2000 hours in this world a cross my three save files and more the 6000 hours a cross the other fallout games in my opinion fallout 4 is tied with new Vegas in enjoyment for me

Fallout 4 has features that are worth critiquing. But to say that its simply bad/mediocre is baffling.

i adore all the games with environmental world building like this and have gotten obsessed with games like RDR2.... this game is one that also has me playing for hours and hours. so many places to explore, and i love all the easter eggs within the game's own places, like you were showing here. not to mention that there's a whole quest where you can return an egg to a mother deathclaw and she just kinda... lets you live. it's great even just for that LOL

If you wander the wastelands, you can find many small sites with sad tales of families trying to survive unsuccessfully. You also run into strange characters (like the rat king) that you would not normally find. I won't mention the weapons.

The cave below Red Rocket...There is a handfull of loot right outside the entrance to said cave. If you never go in the cave that outside loot just keeps respawning and at a pretty rapid pace. Now, the cave has some pretty good loot, including a fusion core. Why would anyone give that up for the small amount of loot outside the cave ? Well, you see, ah, I have this cave phobia.... Entering Concord from the North...You find, in front of you, a couple of bloodbugs munching on a dead Bramin. Ok, kill them. Notice you have a choice for entering Concord. Follow the road South or follow the road East. Now, no matter which you choose, the first house on your right is a loot house including their back yards, with quick respawning loot. The rest of Concord has loot that respawns pretty fast but not as fast as the cave front and these two loot houses. Now, I'm a hoarder. And when I am on a loot run I pick up everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. At some point my Companion and Dogmeat (my pack mules) can't carry another ounce, or even another milligram. And Lo, I am overburdened. So I make the decision to head back to Sanctuary and I start trudging home but continue picking up all the loot I come across, as I know I will generally get home while carry more than twice what the three of us started home with. And, of course, I finish up by stripping Concord bare again. It has the added benefit of having the easiest raiders to kill in the game. I mean all you gotta do is look at them with a gun in your hands and they practically fall over dead without your help.

I agree. This is the best world I've ever played. I too have become addicted to looking in every nook and cranny to see what I can find.

You said it. I got a brand new pc to play Fallout 4. After 3 and NV, I thought, it'll be cool. 4 became my favorite game of all time. I've fallen in love with a variety of games over the years, but Fallout 4 will always be a game I return to and play for many hours at a time. I only have a bit under 3k hrs in it so far. ;) I found your Medieval Dynasty great first day video and at the end I found this. You win. It's a beautiful world, my only real issue is that my exploration keeps getting disturbed by critters. One can't go for a relaxing walk without having to blow through 1000's of bullets.

I'm not sure if this is the case but I am slightly positive I have found Mr handy fuel cans empty. Do not quite remember where but I thought it was kind of odd

BIGGEST ONE, Bethesda wise, They are Single Player and do not require 10 people to hold your toolkit while you game. Second Best is Modding the Modding Community. Third Command Line Codes for when someone wants to play that is special needs for example and does not want to just be rag dolled all game long.

Great video, and great world. never really been a fan of fallout though, but have played it a bit. I'm looking forward to Starfield simply to see what they do with all the worlds. :) Yes, it's going to be bugged.... but that doesn't really bother me, all games are.

I’m new to fallout but so far I’m on 4 now after beating NV and 3. NV had an incredible story, fallout 3 has a good story but both had amazing worlds and deep elements w/choices. Fallout 4s “gameplay” and graphics are the best by a long shot which they rightfully should be considering it’s the newest game, I’m not too deep into the story yet…then again , I’m just exploring the wasteland . I definitely have noticed that the “choices” so far pale in comparison to NV and 3, it’s almost as if this entry forces you to be a “good guy” . Still a deep rpg, but I feel a bit more handcuffed into being who they’re anticipating the character to be . So I just started a new game and created Rick Grimes and I’m having an absolute blast .

I quit this game because I was tired of running back to my homestead every 20 minutes to fend off raids.

I love Fallout 4 but the weapons suck and I wasn't a fan of the storyline.

So if you have ever found empty Mister handy fuel can nurseries then it could be right to assume that the Mr handy robots do replenish themselves.

Main problem I have with Fallout 4 worldbuilding. The majority of terminal entries and environmental storytelling is for pre-war events. It has been 200 years since the war, this stuff should not be so conveniently the same as it was spelled out on the terminals. A lot of the things you pointed out in this video should not be feasible. Skeletons not decomposing, let alone staying in the same place for 200 years. Data on terminals that haven't been destroyed or moved or corrupted. Raiders mentioned 3 months after the war generationally occupying the same still standing walled off community until just before you leave the vault. It all feels very contrived and pulls me right out of the immersion, defeating the purpose of this kind of storytelling.

You could of edited out the combat, that said, these little snippets of story telling by far in no way makes up for the blatant stupidity and contrivances of the factions where The Institute has no goal and are architects of their own demise, Minutemen are weak and you as the General has to do all the grunt work, The Railroad are hypocrites because they condemn the Institute for playing God but they erase a synth's entire personality and set them loose regardless of the consequence and the ONLY reason why The Brotherhood is in 4 is purely for marketing purposes, just like they were in 76, there's no reason they would spend that amount of man-power over something that was considered a laughable urban myth during FO3. I'm not even going to go in to all the lore inconsistencies, your dialogue pigeon-holing you in to being a good Samaritan good guy or how the Junk becomes a detracting annoyance rather quick where you constantly run out of junk because of it.

Gothic 1 and 2 best world imo

I absolutely loved the worldspace in Fallout 4. It's just not very fleshed out and the game itself is so lacking that the world just becomes an afterthought. The glowing sea, Far Harbor, Nuka World, Diamond City, Goodneighbor, and the Vaults are all excellently built places with absolutely nothing of importance to do.

Long time ago haha, but just came across this viedo! nice one! I did love the Fallout 4 world alot aswell, but I think my fev have been kingdom come deliverance, just did love the medivle theame and feel of the game, everything felt so real and relistic and true down to earth, perfect setting!

I don‘t know, to me Fallout NV does everything you mention better, there is more to discover, more to pay attention to, more small hidden stuff, and the big thing to me: *More actual locations that aren‘t just empty building places for you to turn into settlements.* Without DLC there are only 7 towns/villages in Fallout 4: Goodneighbour Diamond City The Institute Vault 81 Bunker Hill Acadia Covenant While there are 31 in Fallout NV: Nellis Air Force Base Cottonwood Cove Nelson Legates Camp The Fort Legion raid Camp Followers Outpost New Vegas Medical Clinic New Vegas (The Strip) Hidden Valley Great Khan Encampment NCR Correctional facility 188 trading Post Aerotech Office Park Bitter Springs Boulder City Camp Forlorn Hope Camp McCarren Camp Golf Camp Guardian Camp Searchlight Helios One Hoover Dam Mojave Outpost Sloan Goodsprings Jacobstown Novac Primm Freeside Westside This makes NV world feel much more alive and believable. Fallout 4 has just as many NPCs but basically everyone is out to kill everyone else while in NV you can change the opinion of each faction in such a way that they will let you in.

Man even though I agree with your overall point on fallout 4 having a great world. Your methods of explaining it was so terrible/ borderlines on click bait. The title of the video should of been “let’s play fallout 4; why I think it has the best open world” Because the majority of this video was you narrating a let’s play rather then going over your points. Like you already edited your gameplay to skip over a lot of parts, so I really don’t understand why you had a third of your video talking about creating your character, and talking about playing the game rather then the topic you titled the video

It's still as big as the ocean, but as deep as a kiddie pool. It doesn't make it any deeper just cause you found a few floating diapers that vaugely resembled a face

Too bad it runs like shit on moderm PC, requires a nexusmod fix to fix load times that it does not support ultrawide and that it requires a community patch to not have game breaking bugs on quests... it's even worst than Skyrim in the abandonware departement from Bethesda.

Best ? I don't know because I haven't played all the games out there. But I can say that IMO Fallout 4 is the best game I have ever played. And I started playing way back when I got my first computer (Apple IIc). I actually started playing games on my work computer but the boss didn't like that. I pre-ordered this game and have been playing it constantly since it hit the streets, back on 15 November 2015. When I say constantly, I mean almost daily for the past 8+ years. I have played all the Fallout games except FO 76 as I'm not into multi player games. I have played other games since Nov 2015 but none held my interest with the staying power of Fallout 4.

Everything in Fallout 4 just reeks of wasted potential the game map DEFINITELY included with all of its wasted potential for quests random events and base locations and just overall lackluster dungeon design that was great and at the core in the older games before it, all of the Fallout games reward exploration not just 4 and hell world building and environmental storytelling is at the core of any competently made RPG. TES: Oblivion was the last true and good RPG Bethesda ever made everything since has been a dumbed down polished turd that looks good and has smooth controls but has absolutely no effort put into the quests factions and plot which is inexcusable for any RPG yet alone two of the best franchises ever made.
