@@maggi98mw Save right before you dig up the chest. Digging up the chest generates a unique legendary chest every single time, it's fool proof. Note: some legendary weapons won't spawn until your a certain level.
I've been farming for an explosive variant for 2 real life days. (About 12 hours playing the game) and I haven't seen a single explosive shotgun. Am I aging something wrong?
The Nastiest Legendary combo I ever found was a flame thrower with the bleed effect on it. Flame thrower and an AOE type weapon with very high fire rate so the bleed racks up super fast against every enemy in front of you. Legendary DeathClaws fall in seconds.
You can get spray n' pray, put all plasma mods, including flamer barrel and harpoon flechettes magazine. You end with a beast with 300 round magazine, over 120 fire rate, zero recoil, and uses .45 ammo
You can get a wide range of legendary weapons from LVL 6 onwards (I'd go for the double barrel explosive shotgun) There's a location in Concord where you can farm it until you get the weapon you want)
I know I'm late but can you do it on ps4? Nvm just figured it out! It's so OP Edit 2: 😂😂😂 I put it to test by killing mongrels and boatfly's by abenthary farm and accidentally killed a settler with the splash damage 😅😅
@@donniechism425 it took sometime but finally got it I just quicksaved before trying to scrap and modify at the same time bc sometimes I would just scrap it by accident
late reply but yeah you can add a missile launcher targeting computer to a glitched rapid fire combat shotgun. it makes it insanely op but also extremely dangerous to the user because it shoots 8 missiles at once.
Maybe I should try doing one with wacky weapons mod, I use a spas 12 mod with possible damage upscaling, explosive too, gives good results, or maybe make a minigun shotgun? 😂

i created a massive ammo farm at my settlement and went afk and collected a huge amount of shotgun shells. i also duped the materials used to create shotgun shells using the fallout 4 material dupe glitch. to do the glitch you should drop material you want to dupe on the ground, go into workshop mode, press scrap and then immediantly press and hold store and then without letting go of store comfirm scrap and then confirm store. if you did this correctly you will have duped the material and you will have double the material in your workbench. also there is a very small chance this glitch could get patched in the next gen update of fo4 coming later this year so keep that in mind.
