Very cool and relatively straight forward build for a farming area at the Castle. Follow me on twitter - / norespawns Follow me on Instagram - / norespawns Production Music courtesy of Epidemic Sound: www.epidemicsou...
Oh man, there's nothing better than finishing your last video in your subscription feed and coming back to see that Davey's just uploaded another castle video.
Yaaa new video. Davey, you are literally the only settlement builder I sub too. I have not found any other tubers that hold my interest. Your ideas are detailed, thoughtful and fit right into the Fallout universe (actually your shit is way better than Bethesda's). Thanks for all the great vids, ideas and inspirations. +++
Nice work on all the castle additions, norespawns. Did you know, with the fences (wire and picket) you can snap a length together and then hold select on one of the single posts and use that instead of your usual pillar, and still glitch the rest of the fence into things, but rotate about the post within the fence.
Master, for the sixth time!! Please please add more living quarters! Like, this is a small town and it's so so so cool. But you know the feeling in diamond city or megaton where you can be a little turd git delinquent and break into people's houses. That's the only thing this lacks... or not lacks, but needs more of. Constructive suggestion would be a couple of those hanging houses you hung over the outside but facing inwards. Also, would add to the favela megaton feel of living in a bowl. Aside from that, this is with out a doubt your master piece. I've watched your shit from day one so I feel OG enough to say - easy peasy your best one yet!
norespawns , I genuinely think that a settlement at Kingsport Lighthouse with set pieces based around the lighthouse would look great, maybe with shacks sprouting around the edge from the top to bottom of the tower; I think it would really draw the eye and add some interesting verticality to the settlement.
I've only just recently started watching you and I've been binge watching for the last couple of days because you're builds are ridiculous (in the best way possible), especially for console. I've been thinking that it's kind of sad you're held back due to console limitations, I feel like your builds would be on level with EvilViking's if you played on PC. I don't know how you stand pillar glitching every single fence etc, do you realize how much easier the place-anywhere mod makes building?! You're commitment is astounding, but at the same time, never stop please :3
SimonH he's made it a point multiple times in the past to explain how he prefers not using the place anywhere mod. The pillar glitch is kind of a Zen thing for Davey but he's also stated on more than one occasion the limitations help his creativity. Having to work with limitations helps him come up with clever solutions and happy accidental discoveries.
Roxanne Ascending Thanks for that :) I realise he's not too fond of using mods in general as far as I've gathered. But it would expand his building options so much and add a lot more detail possibilities to his builds (like detailing and texturing walls for example), this is just something I would like to see happen. I just feel like he's limiting himself to basic fundamentals too much, but to each their own. Either way I'll never stop watching him.
This build is amazing. If you were on PC and made this a mod it would be one of the best if not not the best settlement ever made. I'm on PS4 like yourself. I'm surprised your fps has not got to the point where the game has frozen
For murkwater you should build a mechanic's garage. I did in my fallout 4 and it looks pretty good. I used conveyor belts from contraptions and a race car from nuke world to make it look like the car is going to move on a conveyor belt. Use radiation cleaners from wasteland workshop as a car cleaner. I also used garage door from contraptions on the back of the building. Plz use my idea for the construction site.
When you finish all the builds on this save, would you consider a short series starting outside vault 111 and follows you individually going to each settlement, getting up to whatever highjinks on the way? It would be cool to experience the build from the pov of a wasteland wanderer
Davey, this build keeps getting better and better. I imagine the frame rate is getting choppy at this point, right? on my channel, I just finished Taffington because the frame rate was starting to suffer.
dank memelord its like two tops and ya also get that trading outpost thing...it like attracts bunker hill caravans to places that dont have stops...like the slog, sanctuary, finch farm covenant, ect... Have places that have stops but others dont like the castle, jimaca plain, murkwater
Bunker Hill is nice to build at (even in vanilla). You can repair the market building fairly easily and complete the second floor. It also offers challenges because of all the things you cannot scrap. You can really O.P. the defenses with lasers clearing all the approaches.
Have you got any plans for the inside of the castle? just like decortations and stuff, also i was wondering the objects you place on top can be seen when your inside the castle?
It would be cool to start stacking buildings like a kind of favela style. That's something i'd really like to see. Hangmans alley would maybe work for that.
Hey Norespawns ! I love your vids on the settlement building ! I only know you and Oxhorn. I was wondering if you knew any other Fallout 4 Settlement Channels and I you do, could you recommend them ? P.S great job on the Video 👍!
There is a lot of settlement channels, not to plug myself, but I do make those videos as well as some of the people Im subbed too. Feel free to check it out.
Ya evilviking13 's builds are even more in depth than Daveys to be honest and that's saying something and he has a TON of tours and build videos and he has kind of a story running with his settlements you should definitely check him out
Why Bethesda didn't do it but gave us all of their tools to do crazy shit ourself? Because it's Bethesda and not some EA division. They are still the good guys. The whole MEA mess assured me again how great Bethesda realy is. I love them with all of my gamerheart :-)
Dave i love all of your ideas. You actually inspired me to create my own castle build. If anyones on pc, they can download it and have a look! www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24246/?
