Welcome back to my mod spotlight series for Fallout 4. In this series we will look at the selection of fun and sometimes cheaty mods that have recently come out for this fantastic game.
In this episode I mess around with the Full Dialogue Interface mod which adds into the game an updated dialogue system which shows you a list view of all spoken options.

+xavier k. haberle : Because of consoles, they force to have 4 sentences only for controllers's practicality, so cause of how are placed sentences, and also cause of smaller screen resolution etc, they are forced not only to come up with less choice, but shorted sentences, which mean...Well you know... I've no evidence of this but I'm sure this is cause of that...

+Demongornot no it's because they are trying to change the game to appeal to a new audience and 'evolve' when in reality it's a shit idea

+Master Queef exactly this, or as Bethesda put it, they are trying to "streamline" things to make it easier for a new audience

Oh, wow. I was thinking about how the in-depth dialogue options don't exist anymore in Fallout 4 while I was playing NV last night and then you happen to show this mod!

Wish you would make an oldest to newest version of the mod spotlight playlist since youtube doesn't let us sort by oldest anymore. That way new viewers can watch these in order without having to click back everytime.

thanks, it'll come in handy. What i hate the most is the ''Sarcastic'' options, i would like to know what exactly my character is going to say. Great mod

well, after 2 weeks I managed to watch all 626 mod videos, again since I reinstalled fallout 4 a few weeks ago, and my load order has grown by almost 200 mods, obviously I wasn't interested in all mods, and some were not available anymore, but there was a lot of Gems in this playlist of all your Mod reviews, although they went from newest to oldest, which makes sense in general.

if you go north past red rocket garage there is a virtibird with a power suit and ammo box with 4 fusion cores you should really check for it

Paraphrased dialogues are a trend I really hate in modern games. Can we at least get accessibility options that show the full thing. It's worse in Fallout since the series was never designed with voice acting in mind for the protagonist anyways. Edit: You should've done this video in first person with no dialogue camera in conjunction with the muted voice mod.

+The Epix The story of Fallout 4 its "different" from the 3 because its set 10 years after the 3 with new location and enemys. But if you want you can buy the 3 for 10$ with all the DLC, and remember that you need a dx11 graphic card, 8 gb ram and a quadcore with 2.80 ghz or more to play this game (fallout 4).

+The Epix I would still recommend it even though it has really moved away from many aspects of the original fallout games (which saddens me). but it is still a fun game

Hey Kotta, im just saying this mod doesn't do much to improve the game other than your pet peev so i think everyone that watches your fallout 4 series wouldn't mind if you added this mod. i dont know if that is possible however because i have never played pc games :D

Does it works in others languages? Like, I play in Portuguese subs. Does anyone knows?

+Eduardo Barros technically they do, they have been working with people to get various translations and they do have brazilian portugese but oddly not regular portugese. yet at least, when I covered this mod last week it only have english and french now they have 7 languages

***** good to know. It's weird to me not knowing what the char will say. Anyway, I still miss (so much) deeper dialogs. Great game it is, indeed, but feels almost like an adventure with no deep conversation. Thanks again. 👍

Yeah, the simplified dialogue system is bothering me as well. I believe DA: Inquisition had it too, and more than often you end up picking what seems a reasonable calm reply, but then your character goes off shouting insults at the NPC you're talking with.. not a great system imo

While I do enjoy your Fallout play throughs, I think this mod defeats the point of having a voiced protagonist if you still want to read what your character has to say before you make a decision.

+Damian Stevenson I must say you do bring up a valid point and have convinced me *not* to install this mod. I was considering it but now that I think on it it would remove a significant portion of immersion for me.

+Damian Stevenson I would much rather know what my character is going to say rather then just guessing from some 1-3 word parphrasing that rarely matches tone.

I'm curious why my friend. for me it's too stripped down, you have too few of options and it is being forced into a more linear narrative. not only that but you have the paraphrasing which I've found rarely matches with what my character actually ends up saying which really breaks my immersion.

+KottabosGames along with fallout I've grown up around dragon age and the dialogue from there always entertained me. They don't have the accuracy in fallout as it is in dragon age it's pretty cool the similarities are. It can be a little annoying with the whole one works not much context but it often leaves surprises. In all honesty both are pretty cool in my mind.

I would have preferred a mix of both, new and old. Kinda like Mass Effect. Where it was paraphrased slightly, but still had enough dialogue and "emotion" in the choices My only problem with this mod is that it looks ugly compared to the rest of the game. lol

+Raging Gamer (TheRagingGamer) I can understand that, and as for mass effect ya I think that would have been a better middle ground then what bethesda actually did. I think I probably would have been okay with that.

This mod needs to be brought to consoles ASAP. Bioware-style dialogue doesn't fit this game. If the next Elder Scrolls includes this bullshit it'll be the first title in that franchise I'll take a pass on.
