The one in the bunker at Big John’s Salvage respawns every time the area resets. So you can get as many of these as you want, regardless of random legendary drops or which faction you pick.
@@amiablereaper i have one, it doesnt retrieve enough to stay possitive overall, only sometimes youll net extra. I just got a mod that let me pick up the ones i can see stuck in stuff. It basically just makes them retrievable from the overworld and not just corpses.
There is a mod on Xbox One, where you can get yourself a suit of Big Daddy Alpha Series armour. To the best of my knowledge there is no Rivet Gun, but I think this will make a good substitute. Can't wait to play around with mods.
I've had 3 groups of bandits stroll between the Railway station and Drive-in settlement and each time one of the group had a Railway rifle. I believe the railway gun at the station does respawn and those bandits pick it up.
I searched that train before i ever knew there was this weapon. And now....i just discover that some items only spawns at certain lvls. Now this is a complete bullsh**
***** 1st of all. This thing is not OP,it deals only normal dmg 2nd,it is very hard to hit somebody with this rifle without using VATS 3rd im playing since start on hardest difficulty 4th of all i have never searched any spoiler videos until i reached lvl 70 5th...i have found railway rifle at lvl 40+- 6th i dont give a single shit about FO4 atm anymore. Unless they dispatch DLC,i have nothing to do there.
Jomar0915 Then why do you get a minigun and power armour handed to you within the first hour of the game? Isn't that a bit more OP than a Railway Rifle with no initial upgrades? Besides railway spikes not that easy to find.
+Tommy Jansen That's intended purely to get you through the Deathclaw battle at the end of the museum scenario. At that point in the game you really have no way to continue using the power armor or the minigun. Power armor and miniguns are pretty much doorstops until you actually have the capability to keep them supplied with fuel/ammo. The railroad rifle doesn't have that issue, because you can almost always recover the spikes from the corpses after you've shot them. It would take you ages to burn through even 30 railroad spikes. In contrast the ammo the minigun comes with will only get you through another handful of enemies before it's totally useless until much later. The same with the power armor.
i came back to this channel after some years this makes me nostalgic. i remeber staying up late at night playing fallout 4 while watching these vids for special weapons
It's hands down the best mid to long range weapon until you get a decent suppressed weapon and the relevant sneak perks to make it effective. If you go the melee or unarmed rout then it just depends on your build. Overall the only major draw backs are the rarity of the railway spike [and the rifle for that matter] and the weight of the spikes in survival.
This is one more weapon that profits the most from the Two Shot Legendary. With that chances are you shot once but can retrieve 2 railway nails from a target. Not to mention the raised damage. By now, provided one has the Far Harbor DLC, there is another weapon type that has that same kill animation: the Harpoon!
5:35 I've been using the Railway Rifle as a sniper for a while now, but I'm thinking of turning it into full-auto, since I have plenty of ammunition, 1123 spikes to be more precise. Everytime I talk to Teagan he has at least 209-210 spikes on sale, so I just kept buying until I filled my inventory.
It is really a good weapon. I think it is underrated and I often forget to use it. The train horn sound when reloading is pretty damn cool. And you are correct, it has a lot of damage especially if you have the bloody mess perk
I don't know if it's a bug, but for the railway rifle (and combat shotgun), "automatic" doesn't really mean automatic as we think of it with other guns: it actually fires slower than "as fast as you can pull the trigger," but it just means you can hold down the trigger and it will keep shooting with about the same fire rate as the semi-auto version. So basically, if you have the Commando perk, make the railway rifle automatic and just shoot with it like a semi-auto rifle for best accuracy.
hey ive been playing fallout 4 for a bit now if you save synth shaun during the nukuler option and then send him to a settlement you own keep on giving him random junk and he will eventually give you the wazer wifle and yes it thats its name and it has unlimted ammo capacity its like the prototype up77 lazer so save synth shaun and send him to your settlement and keep on giving him random junk
Currently playing railway rifle survival build. Took automatic receiver so I could have a spare automatic 10mm for close quarters. Even with automatic receiver it shoots so slow so I still use it like a sniper.
The Automatic receiver is for commando builds as it will have higher damage for the commando perk. that's point in having the different ones. So obviously if you are commando get the auto because you'll be doing double damage and shoot a bit faster. That is the only difference.
Lol? Sorry I'm a fan of a game that has made tons of money and is played by large amounts of people -.- ,also I wasn't making fun of the video I thought it was great.
Probably really REALLY late, but if you build an automaton with rail guns you can actually get that ammo from things it killed. This makes me want to play again, I never ever got this gun.
I believe that Desdemona is carrying one if you choose to help the brotherhood wipe out the railroad, that is how I got mine. My guide states that after you save ticondaroga in the Rail road quest you get the railway rifle, must have been a bug
hilarious and informative video, but i think ya might have forgotten a way to get it. In the brotherhood of steel mission "Tactical Thinking" you completely destroy the railroad. and from there you can take it of off Desdemona's rotting corpse.
Hands-down fave weapon in the game, though I use it sparingly. Good to use as something to pull out when in trouble and you just need to take down a bad mofo quicksmart
I was never one for the Bloody Mess perk, so I'm not to keen on the chance of them turning in to body parts sometimes when hit in the torso with the Railway Rifle. Other than that it's great weapon though.
I got given it just before the bos troops attacked the railroad base. Also, des wasn't carrying it on my bos run through, Tom was. And you can get it from some supermutants if you kill em
This was my first OP weapon was like 20 minutes into my first fallout 4 game and I went to Bedford Station and killed all the ghouls and found this Railroad Rifle in 1 of the trains, It will stick heads to walls and with all of my blood texture mods/ ( 26 mods) in total makes everything that much more awesome.. A few months after playing I gave myself legendary effects on all my weapons and used infinite ammo/caps with console commands and I was sticking everybodys heads to the walls with the RailRoad Rifle after forgetting about it because I couldnt find ammo ...
