Well honestly I never did run into any game breaking bugs in their games, but I also need to mention I started with Skyrim way back then in 2013 (yeah I was already late with this game and I was lucky with my Legendary Edition being updated to run stable) it was my first Bethesda Game and at least Skyrim, Fallout NV and Fallout 4 did run in Vanilla great. But well after I started modding things changed :p And honestly I never ever play them without any mods again, there is alot that they could have made themself which made the game so much better, so without mods I guess they wouldn't sell that much at all.

Trust me these mods make the gameplay mechanics and UI that Bethesda messed up with so much better

I have a mod that opens up some buildings in Lexington. That wouldn't be too conflicting would it?

Anything that changes any visible items on the over-world, will invalidate the pre-vis for that cell of the overworld. For instance, Beantown Interiors adds doors [that lead to interior cells] to the over-world, and thus will invalidate any pre-vis for that area. The issue is, if Boston FPS fix is before conflicting mods, it does nothing in those particular areas, and if it's after conflicting mods, it breaks those mods.

So, your saying I should move it up in my load order?

@@shaheerrashid4787 Honestly, the Rx480 is a decent card. It's what I have right now, and with light modding I was able to get above this to 75-80 frames. I do have an i7 7700, and 24gb. Of course, I have to dial a few options down here and there, but it's just strange that people with 1080s are getting choppier gameplay, and even stranger is that they're okay with it.

I mean, that depends on which version of Vivid Fallout you're using. If it's the 1k then by all means it should generally improve your FPS when in game compared to original graphics haha.

It does. However, to my understanding, PC players have ways of fixing the precombines that IOR messes with fairly easily, so it's still fairly useful for them; on the other hand, consoles don't have that ability and, again to my understanding, disabling the precombines doesn't impact performance, but can lead to saves corrupting down the line, so IOR can actually do more harm than good in the long run.

Marc Jungblut i know this isn’t what you wana hear but you have to start a clean save with no mods enabled, go to an area(s) where you have constant issues, then from there enable your mods 1 by 1 until you encounter an issue. I had the max amount of mods on xbox and it came down to one stupid mod that was giving me issues. I deleted it and 100+ hrs later and i’ve only had 1 crash. It’s guna be time consuming(maybe an hr or so) but i think its worth it with a game like this where you could potentially play for 200+ hrs maybe even more. Good luck👍

D. Mat.Zero6 just curious about load order, when you have it at the bottom that means you enabled it first, right?

Will Minor no the mods on the top are master files and get loaded 1st if you referring to specific load timing ie only loading a game with 2-3 NEW mods at a time that order is up to you just don’t load anything that requires assets from another mod 1st. For example I turn on Armorsmith extended n it dlc’s BEFORE Mercenary Pack, BC Mercenary Pack adds to the Armorsmith benches. As far as my first mods I activate it’s full dialogue until I get out of the vault then cheat terminal and I create a test character (I just rename my character test character n split the saves that way I have two different saves with the same character one to load my mods in to n test them out in downtown Boston and one that has my actual play thru on it.) don’t activate new mods in downtown Boston. As far a the fix mod it doesn’t have to be activated 1st however I would recommend activating on it own load your save, save, exit turn off the console reset the cashe n then load into your new save.

Yselacreyo - I'm not fully aware of how the Creation Engine handles it, but my educated guess is that breaking pre-combined meshes makes it so that the engine then has to track all the objects that used to be pre-combined. How this would make the game unplayable on XB1, in my estimation, is that it would introduce save game bloat, such that the more areas you visit, the larger your save file becomes until, at some point, the Xbox no longer allows you to open that save file.

I would recommend Draw Distance Tweaking mod on Xbox. It’s the only thing that has made a big difference in Boston for me.. I set shadows down low and junk items down low From experience and researching it seems that most of Boston’s problems are based around shadows.. because it is so dense it is loading in all these shadows for every little coffee mug and piece of scrap. So this mod reduces the range at which you see those little junk items and when you see shadows... which because Boston is so dense it really isn’t something you notice

From enb, just press the "*"

Enb. hit just only the "*" button of the numeric pad of the keyboard. enter+shift is the configuration menu. shift+f12 is the DEFAULT (some modders change this, like the enb of borderlands) activate/deactivate enb. And finally, enb version 2.83 is called "enb boost" because is enb but only with the performance improvements, without effects -of enb, of course-. I clarify this because no one in any place do that.

Late, but 1. SSD hard drives? 2. Try to pack textures into BSA files using a BSA packer 3. Uncap FPS in loading, drastically increases speed of loading.

I never understood why people use 200++ mods. I get it if people use, like, 20-25, between gun mods, texture packs, and overhauls. But 200++? Fallout 4 isn't THAT BAD.

The number of mods available in the Nexus proves otherwise.

I have 195 active plugins. The nexus is full of amazing stuff you didn't know you need. It really adds up over time.
