Great video. Some people have questions about the ammo not leaving a ghost round or how to get their ammo back. I put all of a certain ammo type into the various workbenches around the traders. All except 10 rounds. And then I start the glitch and I use my rounds. Basically to ensure the ghost round pops up you have to sell him some ammo in two parts. So Sell him like 9 rounds, then sell him the 10th round. Then start the glitch as explained above. That way you only loose 10 rounds. And you can go and pick up the rest of your stash from the work bench you stored them in.

TO EVERYONE THE GLITCH STILL WORKS BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE AMMO FROM THE VENDER THAT YOU DONT HAVE IN YOU INVENTORY... IT WONT WORK IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE AMMO IN YOUR INVENTORY
Yeah, this method and explanation is much more efficient. The way I was originally doing it only added one cap at a time so it took forever to clear the vendor's inventory. This way is much faster. Thanks again for the tips and the clarification!
For people that were confused like me at first...I couldn't figure out how he was going into that crazy amount of debt. Once you get the ghost round started, you have to sell back that ghost round until he goes into debt which is usually around 260-300 caps. THEN go to his inventory, select the correct rounds you're doing the glitch with, and that's when the debt will rack up and you can empty his store.
Something that I just found out while doing this glitch is that when you do it if you keep selling the ammo until the cap count won't go up anymore you get the ammo you were using in the glitch that the vendor had before starting it
I can get time consuming and cause hand cramps if your going for a full clean out of the vendor but can be totally worth it. I haven't spent a cap in game yet, and when this is patched I plan on having enough caps to get me through the game comfortably.
Everyone! if you have alot of ammo and don't want to lose it just give all but a few bullets to a companion and take it back when you're done with the glitch.
I also found a solution to an issue which others that are having problems should try. The first time you select all the ammo from the vendor, you must make sure that the cost of all that ammo is less than your total caps otherwise it wouldn't work... So 100 rounds costs 980 caps, but I only had 440 caps, the glitch didn't work. Try it out.
it still works, thanks a lot, although when you sell some ammo to the vendor beforehand and then try to redo the glich with the ammo you just sold, it doesn't seem to work. Anyway if you really don't want to lose any ammo, you can always give most of it to your companion before doing the glich ;) Flies away
It has to be with the ammo the vendor has equipt, so save it, kill them and see what ammo is on their body. That is the ammo that it works with, 10mm for Arturo, MF for brotherhood, 38. For Vault 81. This has worked for me anyway.
Ok so I found out that for Ps4 you have to sell 2 instead of selling 1. And for PC you only need to sell 1 back. So if anybody is having trouble making it work. Try raising the amount you sell back to him by one until the glitch starts
A much easier way to do this on PC is to just open the console (press ~) and type "Player.additem 000000F 10000" without the quotes to add 10,000 caps. replace 10000 with however many caps you want
+OutsideTheBox I saw a few comments about this glitch not working on PC in your comment section, and since they're asking how to get more money I figured they might not know. I've also tried this glitch on the PC and it works fine if anyone else was wondering.
Completed it once, then when you go back to do it again, the inventory differentiates the ammo you bought from the vendor and the ammo you already have on you..... For example, go to vendor with 3 .50 cal rounds.... Buy all 27 .50 cal rounds they have, now here's the thing. The game will automatically separate the ammo groups, my 3 .50 cal rounds will be an option in the inventory and then the vendor's 27 .50 cal rounds will be in another slot. Rather than telling me I now have 30 .50 cal rounds Has anyone else had this problem? And if so how do I get around it? I've tried almost everything I can think of Great vid btw!
+Nathan Finnigan After doing the glitch once try reloading your save before doing it again. If you are getting 2 stacks of ammo while doing the glitch then just don't use your ammo. If you are going to use 10mm for instance then take all of your 10mm out of your inventory and do the glitch with only the vendors 10mm ammo. Aside from that, in general just try a different ammo type if you find one in particular isn't working with the a vendor.
Yes finally I was able to do it ok so what I did was get so fustrated that I started trying to do the glitch with every type of ammo and the .45 worked on to barter next to Arturo that sell junk like shipments
+fydjub Wait wait wait, you didn't understand me. I was asking if this bug worked with others vendors too, so that i could use it to get Stimpaks and stuff like that. Just use purified waters bottle for the glitch with the vendor and do the same process as with the ammos.
F.Y.I. Glitch works if you have none of the type of ammo you use for the glitch. Therefore bypassing losing all of your ammo. Simple solution, give all rounds to companion before trying glitch
I have done this glitch more then 100 times because it's probably going to be pach in the next update if I where you guys i would do this glitch about 25 times ever time you get on fallout 4 and take everything in the shops so you can sell the stuff you don't want later on when they pach this glitch
Doesn't work on PC - you cant select anything in your inventory once you've selected the ammo you want to buy, regardless of whether you have the ammo or not.

I have done all the steps and when your supposed to have one left on your side of the transaction; all the rest of the ammo moves while selling back to the merchants inventory. I had done the glitch earlier today but I think it may not work again... Anyone else get the same conclusion?...
this glitch is really god iv now got unlimited ammo and stimpacks and every thing else to the one to go for steel is Myrna she does 4 sets of 100 steel and other shipments you need its grate iv now got enough stuff to last with out having to look for it.
That worked thanks . Also I can't finish the brother hood of steel quests in Boston because I keep falling through the floor of the police station when I try to enter the building anyone have the same issue or know a way to fix this
When I sell it back to them, I don't get the 1 bullet to stay behind for me to keep selling. All of it goes back to vendor. That was done on a traveling merchant though. Is that why?
No the way around that is to sell them the rounds it two parts. So sell them lets say 9 rounds accept. then sell them another round and accept. Then you start the glitch.
Thnks for the video, just a method I'd like to share you could trade all your amo to your companion and just keep a cupple for yourself to do this glitch
I got this to work just fine ONCE. I try the same step and it just doesn't work. I sold him ammo, left the barter screen and retried, no luck. I bought half the ammo I sold, and retried, no luck. What's happening is I'm not getting that one remaining bullet that allows the glitch to work.
second part doesnt work for me once i get the gitch going i take his caps but to clear him out when i go to the 10mm rounds agian it just gives him the caps
can't get it to work! Follow the instructions just as you said, but after selling him one round, then the rest, It doesn't seem to leave the one I can sell infinite!!! :(
so i did it once right, it worked perfectly no problems etc. now i went to myrna tried doing it exactly as w the ammo & weps guy but it will just split the ammo i bought from the ammo i have do u guy's know any fix to this?
+lol'd sohard Reload your game and try a different type of ammo. Also, if your ammo is splitting then take all of YOUR ammo of that kind out of your inventory and just do the glitch with the vendors ammo.
what i did was just buy the amo just like you did but instead of just selling it back all at once i first sold 1 then the rest (i don't know if you get me so tell me if you don't and i'll try to explain better).
that was pretty much the fix i found and its just working perfectly every time so for the people that is having the same problem that i had when you buy the ammo just sell back 1 then the rest that should do the trick
When I do this glitch the second part, the item I bought from Artuto isnt highlighted on the other side and it doesnt work even though I have enough money
I think theres a ammo glitch somewhere in this glitch because after I did it and came back the next day and did it again and played awhile I noticed I had 999 10mm rounds and I have no idea how I got that many
Anytime :) I myself have been tryin to figure it out to. I haven't been able to todo it since yesterday when I saw it. Maybe it has todo with saving your game and exiting the game or something

the ailen blaster doent come with alot of ammo, is it possible to store the majority of the ammo then sell them one then do the glitch so it runs how much ailen ammo they have then buy it back?
I went to kl-e-0 to do this with when I bought all the .38 rounds then sold the one bullet back then gave the rest of the rounds back but the glitched bullet wasn't there.
+AstroFalcon Z-Team No. Other vendors seem to require different ammo types. For instance the BoS one (Teagon) seems to only work with fusion cells, missiles and 5mm too I believe.
Thank fucking god! You good sir are the only one who happened to mention it takes your ammo too. I noticed it when I did this with someone elses video and I noticed my ammo was gone. But thank you for mentioning this in your video! :)

+adrian fogg Yes it does. I have done it today and plenty of other people have confirmed it working today. Instead of misleading other people by saying it doesn't work when it actually does, why not just ask for help.
+Jarred Bolger No problem and yes, it works on Xbox One and PS4. As for PC, while Im not 100% sure, PC can just use console commands so doing a glitch is pointless on there.
+billy mounts I don't think their is a best ammo to have it work with as many vendors only work with certain types of ammo. The 10 round+ thing is correct I believe though as any less and it would only increase/decrease by one.
I can't seem to get 10mm or railroad spikes to trigger it. .38 and .308 is the only ammo that works constantly. It's probably me screwing it up but I just go with it
