GEEZ dude, I stopped watching this channel for a few months and you grew so fast! I’m pretty sure I’ve been here since before 100K subs and now you’re at 1.3mil congrats
It's so meta-ironic for a game like Fallout NV to say a thing like that, considering it has the most diverse outcomes and most robust role-playing player progression systems of all Fallouts after FO3
There’s actually a mod that keeps nora alive, it changes the animation to him knocking her out. She then is found on the farm near sanctuary with the settlment station. She can then be used as a full active companion in the game. Complete dialogue and interactions with other companions
@@drippinwet774 mindless Peon! the entire plot of fallout 4 is (if you choose the man you wittness your wife die trying to protect your son if you choose to be a female you wittness your husband murdered, and your son stolen, that builds a rage burning so hot it is why you will do whatever you have to to survive and find him) fallout 4 is set up to guide you to brotherhood of steal and destroy the institute and all synths as you find your boy. oh this is why you just play games and fall the stupidity that others told you online as I actually was a game tester seen things not many could even dream of seeing about games, heck one title I worked on still to this day slowly releasing some of my work and a famous game to.
I mean, if I saw my partner in crime fucking disappear, I’d be freaked out too. Institute lady would still try to steal the baby even in a panicked frenzy if he died or something, but if he just up and disappeared, my ass would be OUTTA THERE.
Her death is programmed into the game. Even if you found a way to find Kellog and kill him before you got to the vault, the game would still go on as programed.
I mean is anyone really surprised the game's script doesn't change? Don't get me wrong, the video is well edited/made, but the concept is pretty stupid.
@Dio Brando: The Dev in this game just put the Character into a Cryogenics tube, to answer every question of "what if you did X" with "nothing, as you can not do X". These kinds of games already have a insane branching factor for Programmers and Storydesigners to work with. They really can not afford to deal with changes like "what if this core scene never happened". That "little" addition would require a workload comparable to the whole BoS for this game - inlcuding all related questlines and dialog options - to be cut beforehand. That is not a tradeoff any developer in their right mind would take, ever. If anyone ever did take such a tradeoff without other factors involved, I would fire the person. With a catapult. @Ceros Asman: Then players and youtubers would just try how to break that Easter egg case detection measure instead. This is a game of Walls and Ladders. And programmer are taught early not to play that game. It is bad for everyone: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/oldnewthing/20110310-00/?p=11253/
RedLeader327 oh well I shot her in the head cause in my family we make sure the dead are dead. It all started with a heavy sleeper, scared the crap out of some grave robbers though
If you get the Nora Companion mod, you will notice, she only gets shot in the shoulder, and in this mod she gets out of the vault two weeks before you and uses a stimpak to heal herself.
maybe after all this time ,kelog just pointed a gun at nora but never shot, it was the institute lady using her mind powers to shoot nora, and kellog cornflakes has been innocent all this time
Here is why Kelog didn't die: in the game, there are 2 Kelloggs: The one you see in the memory den and the one you see in fort Hagen. The one in the memory den is the same as the one you see when frozen
This scene was real intense for me as I had just had a baby when I started playing this game. I was like seriously getting protective instinct rage. Lol
@@Gilgamesh_king_of_heroesShe must be listed as essential then, much like how companions will fall to the floor and just lay there until the battle is over or you give them a stimpak. At least until she's scripted to die, hence the invisible bullet killing her even though the video showed him getting killed.
Or wait until you are escaping the cryopod yourself, open hers and then revive her once the game has actually begun? You would still lose your son, but Nora should stay alive. Even if she does just stand there with no dialogue (or maybe dialogue left over from your time at home/ running to the vault)
I love this series of yours where you looking to all the stuff in Fallout. I'm really excited for you to review the Fallout TV show that's coming out I saw your video about the facts about it so far got to say I'm super excited
Yep, usually i see like 2 -3 copies of the same NPC in the CK, it's probably the lazy way of Bethesda doing something like usual. best example i can give is Jack Cabot, if you fail to get back in time Jack Cabot ages and you cannot get the weapon from him, you have to use the CC to span the "younger" him to get it and then disable.
There is a Dual Survivor mod, where you go to sanctuary, and after you go in your home, you get a notice to dome to the vault. He is alive and can be your companion thru the game, might mess with some companion quests in Diamond city.
I absolutely ROLLED when you 'screwed' Kellogg LMAO. You were just having a lot of fun, clearly, and that is just fine. Great video, and it was interesting to see just what sorts of things might happen if you altered certain scenarios, which of course you really couldn't change them without breaking the game, but it was still interesting to see you try. Thanks for the vid.
Even if you'd manage to break out of the pod, kill Kellogg, (who by the way is the only one with a gun in that room) and the other field operatives to get your lover, child and former neigbors out of cryo stasis, you'd still have to deal with the Institute looking for their missing team. Or you'd be playing settlement appeasement simulator early by making sure your idiot neighbors aren't eaten by the locals. I'll stick with alt-start mods since the story motivation sucks. I can't get attached to something I've known for five minutes.
Well technically the bomb only falls because you make it to he vault. What if someone ran to Fort Hagen prior to the bomb falling and punched Kellog to death? I've never tried leaving Sanctuary prior to the bomb falling. Does this work?
Wasteland Courier exploiting game to make content. What would happen if you do something, that is supposed to happen? There's only two options: Either it works, or not. But it doesn't matter, time to make another video.
When the shot goes off, you can hear a dinging, kind of like a bullet casing hitting the floor. Kellogg’s revolver wouldn’t drop a casing automatically. There’s a hidden assassin somewhere.
I love how you just get straight into the video instead of bullshitting for 10 minutes beforehand (like pretty much every other youtuber who does something like this) good one on you man 🙏🏼
In computer world, all responses and prompts by a computer must be programmed by someone for the computer to do it. The game developers did not intend for the wanderer's SO to be saved at the beginning of the game. Therefore, there will not be a response other than the game never progressing or "changing" because a story element has been removed.
I think Lore wise the reason you can't change this. The reason being if you use the cam to move around you would see that this is a memory like those you find later in the game. Anything you do has already happened so you can't change it.
It's because that first scene is an implanted memory if you use free camera to go outside it's the same background as Kelloggs implanted memory the main character is really a synth
The cybernetics kept him alive. That said, why were those same kind of cybernetics not used on everyone in the institute, ESPECIALLY SHAUN, to live longer? Answer: bad writers.
He's basically not human anymore. Cybernetics to make him stronger, live, forever, basically, his brain has a computer attached to it, so tons of stuff.
Oh aorry didnt realize we where blessed with speaking with a pro program how many games have you made? You talk as if you know how they work so again how many game s have you worked on?
Derumana Story But in other games you can, he means that different games have like different commands and stuff you can do, he just didn't say it right.
For the magic bullet, there could possibly be a courser stealthing in the background. Would answer that question, and makes sense they'd send more than two people.
He was in vats and had a 5% chance of missing, and he tripped on a stone and missed but luckily he had the mysterious stranger perk and he picked up his slack..
There is one way to save the partner in theory and that is by the death of the vault dweller, the case then becomes a Schrodingers cat scenario . If every possible scenario with the vault dweller alive has been tried then all that's left is all the scenarios with the vault dweller being dead, one scenario would suggest that the game would no longer continue to load the event therefore she does not die - succeeding in saving her life.
Gotta say it looks like the memory scene where Shaun gets taken away. I bet they used that memory scene twice just with different view angles and you just killed memory Kellogg.
>Thinking removing a certain entity with console commands would change a cutscene I mean...its a cutscene one you normally cant change with vanilla stuff...sooooo removing a actor wont change anything its not like the normal gameplay where you can just pop out of a conversation and just shoot everyone so suddenly aswell the reason why kellog lives is because theres probbably 2 model's of kellog or well he is spawned there kinda like how even if you kill a random encounter it can respawn and happened again (or i think random encounters respawn).
