I miss playing this game and having my ma watch me wander the Mojave, shooting up Legionaries and hoarding Sunset Sarsaparilla. Fallout New Vegas is a great game and arguably the greatest fallout, but what about going on summer vacations? Local pools or movie theaters with friends, or mowing peoples lawns for money?
The atmosphere of New Vegas is unmatched still to this day. The fact that we haven’t gotten a proper remaster for it after all these years is criminal.
Man, I stumbled upon this game watching my cousin play it on his Laptop back in early 2014. Bought it for my 360 the summer of, and I no-lifed it for MONTHS. Many playthroughs, lots of trial and error, killing and discovering. Almost 10 years have passed, and here I am still playing it and loving it the same way I did back when. My absolute most favorite game of all time, hands down.
Ive played this game since i was 12 years old in 2012 and it was me and my cousin’s favorite game wed play it and i would show him new stuff like unique weapons or armor and sadly hes passed away and my brother who loved fallout as well im still playing all the fallout games to this day currently on a new vegas run again

This song always takes me back to 2011-12. I was deep into New Vegas at the time I started dating someone, and after a rocky couple years together we finally split. Playing New Vegas wasn't the same for a long while after that, and this song in particular was like a stake to the heart because she would sing along to it while sitting and watching me play. She was a fuckin nightmare tho and I ended up realizing that it was a toxic relationship and I was way better off without her. But this song still occasionally makes me smile at the rare good times we had together.

My hometown’s Pahrump, Nevada and this song reminds me of it every time I hear it in game. My house might have a ceiling that leaks with rain every time we’re graced with it, and a sinking foundation, but the early morning view is what makes it home.
legit, the people that made this song probably think nothing of it. It was probably a quick paycheck for them but for people like me, it was like, the perfect song for how I was feeling when playing this game lmfao. I shared FNV with a longtime partner, and this was our second favorite song together after "In the Shadow of the Valley". We would joke about playing it as a first dance at our wedding, despite its sad lyrics. Ironically, it became too on the nose as she would later cheat on me and leave me for my "best friend". It used to be difficult to listen to again, feeling so darn bitter about how it all fell apart, but after putting my life back together, the sweetness comes back. The melody is so much stronger than (or maybe in spite of) the memories.
I miss the Mojave. I miss the love I once had. When I was younger, I met a girl we’ll call J. Me and J when steady up until I was 17. Our relationship was rocky because of choices I made; but never restrained my love for her. The day she left, my heart was in crumbles. A crucial part of me was gone. She didn’t know but I began drinking heavily since then. It was a problem for a long while but when I found New Vegas and heard this song, it felt like it was just so right for me. I’m 5 months sober at this point and I come to listen to this every once in awhile to console myself. To every, and anyone who is struggling with anything similar; there are sunnier horizons. I had to google this song I thought it was an old song they use. This was written for the game! And it’s such a banger, the way the guitar sounds offt!
this track reminds me heavily of "hopelessly devoted to you" i really like these blues romance songs and its my favourite one to listen while wandering the wasteland

Just search for Katie Thompson here on youtube, appearently this is not her usual "style" of music, but its so well done, even if its a "generic" blues/country song. (not much depth to the lyrics or music, but its simplicity may be whats doing it!) :D
