@Zerk his brain, just like the rest of his body, is slowly deteriorating and decaying in the chamber so it makes sense that his intelligence would lower over time, he's also plugged into supercomputers so that can compensate
people are making the same mistake they did and do with bioware. obsidian is a shadow of what it was even during pillars of eternity. with microsoft being involved, i doubt there'd be anything left of the real obsidian in a couple of years after microsoft is done abusing their name like EA did and still does with bioware.
oddly enough, the house ending is the best ending for the ncr, too. it gets kimball and oliver out of their posts. those were the two draining the ncr of it's resources and manpower.
Especially since it also puts an end to their expansionism (for a time at least), theoretically allowing them to finally focus on consolidating and pacifying the conquests made before the Mojave campaign while simultanously crippling their strongest opposition in the East.
With the House ending it's very likely Hanlon becomes the next NCR president and they refocus on their core territories and Mr House doesn't hate the NCR just wants their military out of the Mohave so it's still possible for them and House to negotiate further and Mr House being a buffer state between ncr and the legion
I love how you can make the Courier's speech more formal, business like and cold. Emphasizes that Mr. House has really influenced the Courier, definitely shows that Mr. House's grooming has began to take seed only emphasizing that he's House's protege
It has probably been said bunches of times. If you incite a full on war between the Kings and NCR, then go for the House ending, you get the ending with the King saying: "During the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, some Kings took it upon themselves to launch several attacks on NCR citizens and soldiers around Freeside. Mr. House looked on these actions favorably, seeing them as proof of The Kings' loyalty to New Vegas, and decided to leave them alone."
Yes, you get this ending by doing the quest where the kings friends got beat up by the NCR guys WITHOUT doing the peaceful option. If paced and his friends are in a shootout with the ncr, you've gotten this ending
1:25 The NCR Ranger 'Aww, General, perhaps we should leave, there are tons of robots right there, and I only have a small rifle that can't kill them, plz don't piss that dude off, plzzz....'
I always love how Oliver freaks out saying “The free economic zone of new Vegas. What the hell does that mean!?” So angry then is like “Oh wait here we go…” so calmly after like someone pissed they didn’t understand a word then looked it up on google
Jakob Henley personally I liked the bos in this game because all the characters had personality and I felt for all of them on a personal level, and Veronica was always my companion, so that made me see the brotherhood kind of like how she did
+ahehehehehehuh Id say fallout 4 is more so, Legion and Mr. House are no nonsense. Id stick with these to cause they don't let politics get in the way. Mr House is all business and gives you all the resources you want. Legion is battle-hardened and a strong society, although they should treat their women better.
+Kawaii Atlas It still a Politic,Capitalist Politic, get your fact right mate. Also Legion is using Aggresive Realist perspective on which if they keep gaining more more and more territory and power, they will gain security and survival... and a Global Hagemony i guess..?
Bethesda Endings: Yayyyyy the bad guy's dead, we're all friends now, and things are great!! Obsidian Endings: You did something positive. Everything still sucks though because it's the apocalypse. Don't forget that. War never changes.
Fallout 3 and new vegas are ying and yang. Where one falls short, the other succeeds. Rather than compare and complain, im glad both games exist and are readily playable
“What is this Brahmin shit. I’m not getting the feeling we’re all about to sing koombahyah here.” It isn’t acknowledged enough how fucken good the writers of this game were.
Killing Mr. House is always the hardest part of the game for me. "A Tragedy Has Befallen Mankind" lost it's impact once I realized it was just some obituary that House wrote himself, but the in-game pop-up of "Mr House is dead. His dreams for New Vegas will never be realized." always feels like a punch in the gut. But siding with him requires rendering the BOS homeless (can't bring myself to kill them all personally) and leads to the Kings being wiped out (or making them bloodthirsty and hateful of the NCR). It's like, what do you do, man?
so much this. every time "a tragedy has befallen mankind" pops up i think "OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE" and just restart from the last save i never wanted to kill the brotherhood of steel merely because going there and doing it was a pain in the ass
Gryphon Botha Yeah but if you side with Mr. House in a few years the Strip will expand and the neighbours will get more chances at life so in a way the Kings ideals can be fulfilled longterm by siding with Mr. House and as far as BOS is concerned King Arthur in Fo4 proves Mr. House right, the BOS is too dangerous to be kept in the Mojave they make the region unstable.
I could never side with House because of the ramifications it would have on NCR. The Republic's economy is severely weakened after the Brotherhood's terrorist attack on their gold reserves, and impending famine within the next decade is looming. This can be solved by the Vault 22 data, but that project could take time the Republic doesn't have. The only real way to keep the NCR and it's citizens from suffering starvation, collapse, and in fighting is to give them the resources of the Mojave so they can buy time for a more long-term solution (Vault 22 data). With that knowledge, the fact that nearly all side factions can get a happy ending under NCR, and that House isn't the *only* hope for space travel (Think Tank and Mothership Zeta should be plenty), I side with the NCR.
My melee courier was like: Finally, a worthy opponent. Him and Ulysses are the only challenging enemies when you go melee build. And the Alpha female deathclaw.
Very true, but reason why I prefer independent and house ending is because, both of them has more progress, NCR is just amorally corrupt and very incompetent, legion? well never a fan of them to begin with
Mr. House is actually the best ending. He has a much better plan than anybody else, and he has good intentions. Edit: 8 years later, I renounce my cringe take of supporting soulless robot libertarianism. Hail Caesar.
100%. Also, house is supposed to be this genius but you can literally just walk up to him and shoot him, and the game even encourages you to do this (75% of endings involve you killing him). Lame ass tech bro-looking dictator shit.
@@weetbix4497 well, that's a bit of a misinterpretation. The phrase comes from a sort of apathy to the political atmosphere in Italy at the time. Essentially, asking someone from Italy "How are things going with Mussolini?" would warrent a response such as "well, they aren't great, but the trains run on time."
I agree. We have members in the UN running a sex slavery operation, and not 1 has been inprisioned! Smh. You know the saying “justice is a meal best served cold?” Well it resonates with so many people because it’s true. Justice isn’t meant to be a tool to punish or chastise people you don’t like; the rule of law is meant to keep people safe and to ensure the survival of a civilized society: Don’t kill and don’t steal These two things create the foundations of the law and is from this corner stone that the civilization itself built upon. A world without justice is a world of chaos and depravity, and has Mr. house said “I have a good hand trust me; I dealt it myself.” Why should we allow the strong to abuse the weaker masses? The law is a tool in which mankind high or low, big or small is truly make equal under.
@@daru5002 Don't listen to that kleptomaniac. His definition of glory is stealing the streets and pickpocketing everyone walking on them at them same time before they realise.
@Urrcreavesh I would not call that massive, radiation-emitting, fusion reactor composed of hyper-condensed gas simple. Just because it looks like a little light in the sky, doesn't mean it is.
Urrcreavesh my apologies, it wasn’t my intention to be a dismissive dickhead. However, “physics just doing its thing” is, as far as I can understand, anything but simple.
In fallout 3 we had tons of quests, in fallout new Vegas we had story’s with consequences that stuck with us. It made us think about the choices we made
"Fallout 3 had tons of quests" it has 94 total, that's including both unmarked quests and dlc. new vegas has 30 main quests alone. another 62 dlc quests. far too many side and unmarked for me to count.
When I first started NV, I considered going with NCR. But after carefully going through the dialogs, I chose House. It simply felt right. Sure, with his ending, can't have all the nice things, but some things are meant to happen.
Restoring humanity, going to space for new planets to get colonized for humans, getting ruled by a genius, living in the casino of mr house with luxury forever and becoming immortal are the nicest things.
@@merttopcu3085 for you maybe. Leaving freeside to rot and bullying goodsprings and prim into submission, not to mention exterminating the kings who protected freeside, or wiping out the brotherhood, is unacceptable to me.
@@fafofafin The brotherhood are a buncha soft little bitches. They have no goal. They just hoard tech, but for no reason. They dont aim for development. They just hoard it hiding behind their lies that 'if we let people touch it the world is doomed.'. Homewer they are already dooming the world by hoarding tech and fighting each other. Also There are no need for kings I mean why do they even exist? There are securitrons to protect. Also house does not bully gs. He sends them securitrons because of the help to the courier.
@@fafofafin He does not leave Freeside to rot or exterminate the Kings as long as the Kings don't ally themselves with NCR. He also does not "bully Primm" as long as it does not join the NCR. And Goodsprings is better off with him than with the Legion or the NCR. Option to spare the Brotherhood was planned, but was ultimately disabled, as far as I know there even are files in the game
I prefer talking to Ulysses when he wants to speak on the behalf of "Ghosts of Vegas", like an echo from the past people that perished long time ago Sounds so badass and poetic in my opinion
Mr Houses Vegas depends on the NCR, as they are customers and have a good industrial sector that would be expanded with House. Mr House is the only faction that would progress humanity forward, as the NCR is just too corrupt and big to do anything
Yeah that is the interesting thing about the House ending, he needs the NCR to thrive for him to thrive, and he needs to tread carefully for them to not get pissed off and embargo him. It's an interesting dynamic.
@@tropikalmamut4448 Cope. If you don't have the will in carving what's best for humanity without cracking a few eggs then you don't have the guts to make things better. Some people may die but at least that's tolerable compared to living in an unforgiving wasteland during a post-apocalyptic world. Mr House made New Vegas as a hopeful oasis that the New World can look upon, a symbol hope for a bright future and all in the span of 7 YEARS! The NCR is too corrupt to make a change & Caesar's Legion is too authoritarian & the monsters in Old World Blues would attack New Vegas in a few years due to their growing population and the only way to repel them are bright lights, something that Mr. House can do. Everyone needs to be Machiavellian from time to time in order to get things done and to stop low life scum from interfering your plans.
House would likely eventually tone down his authoritarianism once he recognizes the creative capacity of free markets and their efficiency in solving problems.
I wish that with a speech check you could convince him that this was somewhat still a win for the ncr, that they liberated new vegas froom the menace of slavery, that they gained a new ally and ultimately stopped the legion advance westward.
it's actually a major win for the ncr. oliver and kimball were driving the ncr into the ground. they were the source of most of the corruption. with their loss at hoover dam, both get disgraced and removed, meaning reform can actually take place. if you side with the ncr, you ensure that the two corrupt people running them are in power for decades to come. gives you a bit to think about.
If you think about it, it allows the NCR to retreat safely from the Mojave, as per-say if you the Courier didn't exist, that means that in the Battle of Hoover Dam the Legion would be able to assault the NCR and win off the Hoover Dam as they were prepared to ambush them inside of the Dam. This would mean that if the Courier didn't exist to help any of the factions, the NCR would have to retreat, but the only road they could do so is Highway 95, which is now controlled to the east by Legion. There is a video which explains it further which is this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o7lBYg-9MGU.html
The NCR: Trying to recapture the Past. The Legion: Trying to keep to the Present. Mr. House: Aims for the Future. This was always my views of the Main Three Factions and it’s why I felt like House was the Best choice. The NCR are trying to get us back to the past similar to an Enclave approach but more peaceful, The Legion are preventing us from progressing due to fear of becoming like The Past when the bombs dropped (setting mankind back) resulting in a desire to keep us as we are in a Survivalist Present & House has plans to further progress us to a Future beyond what we ever were at before the Bombs fell (with him eternally filling over of course).
Devin Taylor The Wild Card: Whatever you want it to be. An unknown Future that can go in any direction. It all hinges on the one holding the Cards. In this case, The Player. Only this time, more directly. While the other endings you play a role in the outcome & future of mankind, in this ending; you ARE the Controlling power that decides the Future of Mankind.
@@egeorgiades93 This is why Independant always felt like the true ending to me. You hold the cards and can stack the deck against anyone you wish. You become a god at the end of the game, with your resources and allies, you can unite the Mojave tribes to form a nation. Like Ulysses said, "there's a shadow of a nation behind you", it always stuck with me. Poetic in a way you can atone for the disaster of the Divide. It sticks best with the narrative of the game, "Let Go, Begin Again". Always wanted to see an intelligent courier play 4D chess with the wasteland factions, establishing diplomacy and building an empire. Its the most open-ended and potential ripe ending. Man I would kill for an after Hoover DLC, have your own council with representatives from each Mojave tribe and settlement, politics both internal and external, rebuilding, putting the quarry and concrete mixing yard to use, using Vault 22 to start farming, putting the Enclave remenants to use to train a military for me etc. People always shit on Independant on how its doomed to instantly collapse. Butt under a smart Courier with good reputation and karma? It can flourish. Once the Mojave is on its feet and stable as a nation, and in capable hands, the Courier can head on with his travels. That was always my headcanon ending.
NCR:Neo liberal Democracy/Capitalist Legion:Totalitarian Dictatorship House:State Capitalist All of these are as House himself puts “regurgitations of the past”
noah sanchez for the good, and for the bad (mostly bad recently) this was slightly before FO4 when everything was fine, although the game mechanics improved in SOME aspects, the writing went to shit. RIP Karma and Wild Wasteland Perk
"NCR got perks too"... They got no vision, no clear goals or direction, no ability to control or even secure territories they grab and not even slightest regard for the lives of their troops or civilians. But at least they got _"perks"_
@@unclesam6325 im not calling you a fanboy. This insult has been dead. But if everything goes right then sure. its just that this corruption that is turning. Also yeah Mr house was first my route
The thing I love about House's ending is that he isn't there to conquer the world. He claims the Mojave (which is not even 1/10th the size of the NCR or the Legion, mind you) and wants to build up that area. If anything, he wants to co-exist alongside the NCR, have tourists and intermingle with each other, war is bad for business with him and he knows that. It's part of why I usually side with him, a plan for the future and a morally ambiguous side. He is anti-war and in a way, that's what makes him such a interesting faction to side with, as you can see how the NCR and the Legion grow, by conquering. It's nice to have a faction that just wants to ensure its safety and stay within its borders and grow economically.
Yeah I feel you, I played 10 hours of Fallout 4, and just 20 minutes of New Vegas reminded me exactly how awful FO4 is. The only thing I can say I love from FO4 is the new look of the power armor.
Oh boohoo and stfu. FO4 still outperforms NV AND 3 combined in every way that counts. Also, you badly confuse the illusion of choice with real choice. 3 and NV were just less obvious illusions.
@Flyin' Steve they are 1000000% wrong. Have you even played 4? The Karma system sucked. Morality is not binary. That's dumb. You CAN be evil and THEN some. There's even a DLC that lets you be MORE evil. Your choices matter WAY more often than they do in 3(there have literally been side by side comparisons). At least we have more than 2 factions. At least 4 had better DLCs. Lonesome Road had atrocious, vague, nonsensical, heavy-handed writing and a shitty antagonist who couldn't make sense to save his life(looking at you, Ulysses), and I BARELY care for or remember the Pitt. And on top of that, in addition to ALL the QoL changes that are straight-up better, FO4 has THE best companions in FO history. Nick ALONE puts 99% of all other FO companions to shame. Hell, I bet you didn't even notice that 90% of the complaints about 4 apply to 3 and NV too.
@@leoflorida95 well, as he says in a line before you kill him, when he asks why and you respond "I don't like you" He rightfully calls you out on letting personal animosity and feelings get in the way of progress. So what if he has an ego? I'd say the man is entitled to one after all he's done. Built most revolutionary technology of the pre war, predicted and mostly counteracted the nuclear bombardment with his statistical metrics, and reformed the tribes and scraps of society into a functioning economic state ruled by metric law after the bombs fell. Not to mention living for nearly 200 years and showing major life experience from it. To put disliking his robust personality before all other attributes of him is merely foolish at best, and downright selfish at worst.
@@soggybreadman4035 To be fair to the House skeptics, House hasn't really been CONSCIOUS for those 200 years, only like 8 or so, when the NCR scouts moved on the dam he woke up. That's why I gotta say I was always a bit skeptical of him, he kinda is a Johnny come lately, NCR has been growing a nation for like 90 some years and Caesar has been doing his thing for a few decades. Those factions actually came from the Wasteland and understand the reality, House is still (trying) to live in pre war times.
Plus he like has no friends, its all employees, associates, opponents, business owners to him.. he is a guy who cant distinguish personal life from professional, and also has trouble with a little bit of humanity left in him i think...
Yeah there was intended to be a line where you convince House to work with the BOS. It’s not necessarily a good idea given that just like with Yes Man ending you’re leaving around a pile of xenophobic tech priest crazies while your entire civilization relies on a robot army, but, it is usually what I do to avoid having to kill them. Also the implication is really cool to me- House is an autocrat but he legitimately values your input if you push for the Brotherhood to be spared. His files (based on what Yes Man says once he gets them) indicate he was VERY keen on taking them out, but the cut dialogue shows you can change his mind. I like that- it shows he takes your input. Makes me feel better about the ending.
Let's be honest: It might be better for Veronica if the Brotherhood dies out If the Brotherhood survives, Veronica isn't necessarily accepted. If she stays, she becomes a recluse hiding away in libraries repeating her companion quest forever. Should she leave to join the Followers, the Brotherhood kills their outpost, and she ends up a drifter who can never form meaningful relationships ever again. However, if you destroy the bunker, Veronica doesn't have to worry about the Brotherhood amymore. If she wants to stay with the Followers, who's going to stop her? She might mourn for the rest of her life, but at least her life is solely in her own hands.
I think, this ending is most likely the best because of the long term advantages. Though it does mean, people are controlled (or killed) by order. Which begs the question of whether you support extreme order or extreme chaos more then the other.
Because he's Ayn Rand if she was a disgusting monopolist monarchist. He's John Galt but less realistic, and Jon Galt needs to be thrown into a volcano but miss the actual caldera and just have no way back out.
You understand that game is a joke, right? It's meant to be laughed at and mocked for having no substance and no point. If Mr. House is compared to that, it's clear why.
I love the House ending of a good courier. House showering him/her with every luxury out of gratitude and pride for his choice of lieutenant is so much better then an evil courier play through out of fear of the courier. House calling the courier his favorite employee EVER is a huge complement for such a titan of industry
"I can make sure it not only runs, but runs on time. Always bothered me, the imprecision" love the subtlety and attention to even the teeniest details the writers put into this game
@@danatedawg1018 That's because the ending above is not "perfect". He doesn't do that as long as NCR does not take over Primm. Simmilar thing goes for the Kings. If their war against the NCR escalates, House leaves them alone
I suppose Feudal Lord Executives are humanity too. Once they liquidate the 99% their perfect world of inbred nobles and worthless trust fund kids will be realized.
On my first playthrough I was with mr. House until he asked me to destroy the BoS. I abandoned him and completed the game for the NCR and just out of curiosity went to Yes Man and completed No gods, no masters without securitron army. The ending was kinda messy but what bothered me about in the most was how the Brotherhood end up harassing people on the main roads, with or without agreement with the NCR. Needless to say, from then on I never hesitated when I was destroing them for House/Caesar, only feeling bad for Veronica and, on some level, mcNamara. Serves 'em right, especially that a-hole Hardin. Mister House was right about them all along, and it honestly pains me to see how people hate him for it. The Brotherhood of Steel is neither an enemy to the Mojave, nor a friend. But so does Mister House
To Mr House its just business and he gets it. In the Mojave it clearly shown or told that caravans and people keep things flowing between communities and people alike or have stable minds to not become raiders. He see's New Vegas as a way of continuing not only humanity but his legacy as well considering he still is alive technically. Mr. House has the know how, pre war tech and is very smart and has planned out many outcome for many scenarios. In the end its boss and employee but seeing what you did at the end he might as well as made you his friend instead. Like he said "few meet my expectations and fewer surpassed them" you did something he has never seen been done in a short time and with great success.
Seeing an odd amount of people who say they didn’t want to side with House because you have to destroy the BOS Like really ? The BOS suck they’re just glorified raiders who raid in the name of “saving humanity from itself” the exception here is the Fallout 3 BOS who are just a bunch of good guys nothing wrong with them at all nothing to question should I be siding with them
BoS bunker literally explodes in all of my playthroughs, i don't like using energy technology weapons it feels stupid and i'd rather use real ass kicking weapons. I hate the fact that Bethesda glorified these assholes.
Every faction has it's ups and downs. As much as I didn't like them, I think the NCR was the best choice. There are other groups like the legion growing out in the wastes. NCR may not be perfect but they have laws, courts, democracy, and the don't treat women like second class citizens. I just hate that they make you kill Mr. House.
None of the factions are perfect. Cass put it best: NCR is family, family that repeatedly fucks up but still family. The fact is NCR has one thing no other faction has. Democracy. They elect their leaders. No one elected Caesar. No one elected Mr. House. Both of those people use their powers to punish anyone they deem unworthy. Not to mention that Mr House ruled from his penthouse which anyone with enough computer skill could take over, just as your character does when you choose the wild card ending. People get hung up on taxes, but they forget about society. People are stronger together, because you can bet there are a number of factions like Ceasar, or the fiends ready to rape and pillage whole towns if there isn't some sort of army or special forces to stop that.
TheRepty818 as Caesar said about the NCR. Aradesh was the first president and was so for around 20 years, he passed and then his daughter Tandi took over and was in office for 51 years. Sure she was voted in each time, but that was due to the council fearing opposing her. Does that sound like a democracy to you? Or a hereditary dictatorship. NCR is slowly dying and will, legion is there to hasten it's ending. Not to mention the fact that most people in the mojave do not want to live under NCR as they tax heavily on citizens.
Mr. House was so determinated he even tried to save the Vegas before the bombs fell and he worked for that chip for year before and after the bombs fell.Mr House Always Wins!
Supposedly the option to spare the Brotherhood while going for the House route was cut. Had that option stayed I'd be a lot more favorable towards House runs than my usual indie ones.
Yeah, me too. Completed the gane 3 tines, before deciding to go for the House playthrough and noticing that I've been killing the "good" guy all this time
New Vegas is my favorite fall out, however it had a lot of problems. Things I wish they fixed. 1. Gambling, play more casino games like craps etc. 2. Take control of the casinos and after several missions, you get payments every week. 3. A different ending option, no one wins, you NUKE new vegas and Hoover damn. The whole area turns into anarchy. 4. Take over Ceasars Legion and become Cesar
I really wish there was a way to fight for the NCR and either Mr. House, or Vegas Independence at the same time. If I was the courier, I would have helped the NCR take the remainder of the Mojave, and instead of kicking them out of the area, would have petitioned for the New Vegas area(The Strip, Freeside, and all surrounding residential areas) to become a territory of the NCR; basically making New Vegas a part of the NCR like they want, but instead of falling under the NCR governmentally, they would instead govern themselves independently.
Troy Bell I really hated that with the Independent Vegas option. We could still be independent without spiting in the NCR's face but no we are forced to. Make them respect Vegas as its own independent nation, keep trade up with them and let them keep a base within borders. Don't piss them off and encourage more NCR tourists to come to New Vegas. I don't really understand how the whole revenue stream would work when they told their biggest customers to go fuck themselves.
***** That's hardly possible. There are only three options when dealing with them: join them, fight them or pray to Gecko Jesus that they ignore you, like they did with New Reno. Once the NCR has it's sight on something, they get it, one way or another... or die trying. They're basically a bunch of spoiled brats who have an tantrum over every little thing. Just look at Vault City and Vault 15. The NCR did anything they could to make them join their precious little republic. They even got the Bishops to help them by harrasing their traders.
***** Again, if I was an Vegas Independence Courier, I would work out a deal with the NCR to make Vegas a territory, as opposed to a fully integrated state. That way, the NCR gets to maintain a presence in the area while still respecting Vegas' Independence
+Troy Bell But the problem is that this would never happen. The NCR are ironically similar to the Legion: forcily consuming territory for power whether the locals like it or not. Marcus even points out how similar the two factions are despite how much they claim to be different. "Independance" does not exist in the NCR's vocabulary.
joshua kim The NCR's expansion is an obvious mirror of the U.S. Manifest Destiny. The U.S. was claiming non-state territories while also expanding it's own land in a very similar way to how Vegas could be handled.
@Madam Meouff Well, he deffinitely saw them as alma mater. Nope, not kidding, look up his backstory. You are right, the Institute and House would deffinitely get along if House bought them out
For the future of Vegas and mankind as a whole. Mr. House is the best person to lead the charge. The Legion are merciless savages who will collapse once Cesar is dead. An independent Vegas is unstable without a strong and permanent enforcer. The BoS are in it for themselves, and have little desire to help outside communities. The NCR while good on paper are corrupt and carries the failed values of a nation that no longer exists. The values of Democracy and Imperialism is what initially brings us to the events of Fallout. To quote “if you want to see the fate of democracies, look out the window.” Mr. House, has a strict but enlightened vision of how he wants the Mojave to evolve. He seeks to rebuild what was once lost, Restore the soul of a nation once forgotten. Though he is an autocrat, it’s what the brutal wasteland of the Mojave needs. In the long run, House is the best chance anyone’s got to make it in this world. The house always wins.
See, this is why everyone always chooses the "fuck all your factions" ending. Even Mr. House's actions after capturing Hoover Dam were disagreeable. No matter how much he tried to look like a role model, he was just a money sucking dochebag.
@XMENFAN54 Holy shit I never realized that it was the voice for Sasuke, I mean I knew I heard the voice from somewhere but I never knew where until now
I don't know if that's foreshadowing to Mr. House being corrupt with power or just a joke. Or both? Damn you know the writing is good when you can't decide if something foreshadowing or not.
When I was little I had a small crush on Cass, the reason why I never chose the NCR ending in those days was because in that ending is because for some reason that I don't understand, she ends up sleeping with an unknown NCR soldier for no real reason. After knowing that she would do that, I always chose either the Mr House ending or the Legion ending but never the NCR ending. If you become attached to a virtual character as a young person, the last thing you want is for them to end up sleeping with someone else.
Siding with House is choosing the Old World's path - path of uncontrollable economial and technical growth and an inevitable downfall in the end. I genuinly don't know what's the right decision here: NCR and Legion both represent the Roman Civilisation (NCR portraying corruption and inability to sustain peace and defend borders and the Legion being a prefect example of why Pax Romana fell - Rome's success was almostly entirely based on the conquest; when the conquest stopped, the existing "permanent war economy" collapsed). Damn, this game is so great.
after all these years listening to NV's ending still gives me a strong feeling, like listening to the story of an old friend. It's something FO3 and FO4 never achieved for me.
