Fallout: New Vegas Took Over Goodsprings in Real-Life 

Crazy how before 2010s it used to be an ordinary town, now it’s associated with Fallout.

I can't imagine what a financial boon this is for the saloon, it can't be easy running a business in the middle of the desert

If y'all don't know, Matt Perry was a great help to people suffering from alcoholism like he did. He did a lot of good work for a lot of people.

I was actually half expecting for the town to be incredibly annoyed with the tourists. It's nice to see that they can actually co-exist with them.

Im impressed that Goodsprings was able to accommodate 3000+ people at all. Going to make it a goal to go next year

It must be wild for the locals for their tiny little ghost town in a desert devoid of life to suddenly have an annual event because a friggin' video game featuring the town was extremely popular.

First of all, Matthew Perry was the GOAT, may he rest in peace. On a side note, just seeing such a large real life event in celebration of Fallout New Vegas warms my heart. 3,000 people around a small rural bar? My entire city has a population of ~11,000. That many people in such a small cramped area would probably make me very anxious. Also, the parking must've been an issue.

This made me proud as a Fallout fan. No matter which Fallout is your favourite, the Fallout community has always been one of the best gaming communities out there, we just wanna enjoy and share our game experiences with others.

It is so crazy that a game from a while ago is bringing everyone together like this! I hope to go next year

I like how a single player game that's over a decade old was able to bring so many people together in a hot dessert because the passion for the franchise is that real 😊

Imagine a Fallout themed food truck that sold stuff like Mole Rat Meat (could be pork), Brahmin Burgers, or Big Horner Steak (could be lamb chop). That would be awesome! There’s so many foods from Fallout that one could theme real foods into!

I've always admired how 1 single video game can get so many people together, as one big happy family.. I'd love to go one day but flying is just to expensive for me.

As a resident of Nevada and a lifelong fan, I'm very proud to see this growing community. Even in Northern Nevada we are seeing more and more people accepting the culture that is Fallout. Halloween looks like a raider fever dream...

Spent pretty much this whole video in tears, with Matt in mind, and just to see this much love, dedication, and community, all caused by FNV is so touching, thanks for helping to keep this game alive, online and off.

Maybe next year you can take up a donation before to pay for extra Porta potties or even food trucks. I like the attitude from Obsidian/Bethesda. It would be stupid to shut it down, and I also don't feel like they should be there in an official capacity. But more developers and actors stopping by would be cool. Christine totally deserved the win!

New Vegas really is on another level, you can really tell this whole thing is ran with passion and love rather than souless profit. The fact this is only happening so many years after the game's release really shows how good it is.

I'm from Austria. Huge Fallout fan of course and I really consider to visit the U.S. just for this event next year. R.I.P. Matthew Perry. Beverley Hills 90210, Friends and of course Fallout New Vegas were big parts of my youth.

Like you and many others, I have a ton of social anxiety, but this was the kindest, most welcoming group of people I've ever been a part of. The staff was amazing and Old Man Liver was cool as hell. I bought a couple of bottles of his whiskey and he gifted me some of his hot sauce and tejon style spicy dust. I wish I could have met Nate, but I had no idea what he even looked like. Meeting you was a huge highlight for me for sure. I can't wait until next year. My son says we have to start planning costumes now and I totally agree!

I went to the bar a few years back. I had the lady with tattoos serve us and my father told her “you know this place was in a video game?” Meanwhile there was fallout merch just about everywhere.

I think it would be really great if you could get maybe like Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky, or some of the other creators/voice actors for the games to come out to sign autographs/do a Q&A next year. I think that would be really cool!

my great grandparents are buried in the semetary at good springs, i remember going up with my brother and sister when i was little and leaving toys and food on their graves. been doing it in game for the past couple years since i moved out of nevada and havent been back

It was a surprise, a welcome one to be a part of Fallout New Vegas Day and see so many people! I am the Enclave Officer that was seen at 10:44 - 10:49 It was absolutely fun, I missed the first one and vowed to be a part of this one and so glad that there are so amazing people. I figured it be above a thousand but didn't realize it was 3000, no wonder why the food line for lunch was about 2 hours long. I do wish to thank the staff. Also I hope they get more of the Gold Mine Sarsaparilla because me, my friends, and relative LOVED it. We actually wanted to get more when it was sunday but sadly it was sold out. And lastly you and your crew are fantastic TK, to actually meet you and get a photo was great!

More people are going to start turning up next year I guarantee people are going to start opening up more stores. For good springs it’s going to actually be very economically valuable for them. so it is really good to see the fallout community fandom provide for this community.

I'm disappointed I was not able to attend this year. Last year's inaugural event was such a blast! And it was awesome to meet you! So cool to see fans from literally all over the place coming together to share in the festivities. The town, and the Pioneer Saloon in particular, really went out of their way to make it successful and I was super happy to see that there was an event planned for this year as well. Here's to 2024!

Also I think we need at least 2 paramedics or at least emts on site at all times. I had to help 2 people that were passed out and hit there head and I think at least 1 of them had a concussion. I tried to stay with them as long as I could to make sure they were OK but I lack the medical training to know if someone has a concussion or is just dehydrated And a few more places to grab water wouldn't hurt either.

As for the Pioneer Saloon capacity problems, I have a lot of sympathy for them. You gotta figure with any internet-based event like that, it's a total tossup how many people are actually going to show, however many may initially express interest.

Great stuff, that last power armor cosplayer was jaw dropping. I recall visiting Goodsprings in the early 2010s and just blown away at how surreal it felt. This made me too emotional. All the friends I played New Vegas with are deceased. It meant a lot to share that with them. I haven't even met too many people who know the game irl so this was inspiring and made me smile to see how many people showed up.

Although the food lines were a bit long, the wait was worth it for the meals! I had the High Blue Cactus Burger! Along with that, there was so much good conversation to be had on the lines as well! I met so many friendly folks and struck up nice conversations about the game, each others' outfits, and generally wonderful times overall! Many thanks to the kitchen staff for doing everything they could for so many folks!

Your videos made me rediscover New Vegas and fall in love with the series in a way I hadn't when I first played the games back on release. I'm sure there are many, many people who feel the same way. This looks absolutely awesome, might even catch me attending next year's!

It would be cool if people like Oxhorn, Naiwal, Kevduit, or Juicehead were at the event next year. It sounds amazing.

It's a really surreal experience being so familiar with locations and geography I've never actually seen.

Obsidian did a great job incorporating pop culture from Las Vegas and the wild west, making a lasting effect far greater than Fallout 3 or Fallout 4.

Unfortunately quite a long way from the Netherlands but I'd love to be there one day!

Oh wow! Damn I wish I went

This was an amazing event with amazing, talented and kind people. This was also my first event/ con. I went as the " Peace by Force" ranger from the contest video. Everyone who loves Fallout should come at least once. I can't wait for next year.

My only complaint was that i got strange looks when I ingested as many drugs as humanly possible in under a minute. I thought this was a New Vegas themed event?

I stopped in the Pioneer Saloon in 2018. It was quiet, only locals were there, but it did feel like I was a lone wanderer stopping by. I got a Sunset Sarsparilla, and enjoyed the moment. This is the first time I've heard of New Vegas days, and I hope it keeps running annually. That little town is on the map now, and they have embraced it since the game released.

I am currently running through Fallout New Vegas for the 4th time and am glad to see that so many others recognize how freaking amazing this game is. Good job getting this festival going and keeping it going through the growing pains. Also, thank you for the dedication to Matthew Perry, he was a hardcore fallout fan like us and it is really sad to see him die too young after such an incredible legacy.

Next year they should stage a battle between the good people of good springs and the powder gangers.

Went to the saloon on both days. Stayed in Vegas with my mom while we went around to the other sites like Primm and Jean. First day was packed but came back for the night. TKs Mantis, you were such an amazing guy in person and very chill, was able to get a picture with you which made my night. The second day I went and discovered the amazing vendors who created so many merch and props, my favorite was HandmadeFallout and the guy who made the replica bottles. The people visiting were just as amazing and pretty cool to talk to or just point out how awesome their costumes were. I hope to come out to this event again!

It really brings out the best part of the fallout community since the bad parts would never go outside

i had a fucking BLAST! i came as a member of the Duty Faction from STALKER and the few people who actually knew what i was, loved it! there was a couple that showed me their proposal photos from Pripyat! the wait times for stuff were long but nothing worth complaining about when youre in such a wonderful place! the only (very insignificant) "negative" thing that happened is someone got pissy that i was wearing russian gear. like dude if you were cultured youd know STALKER is not only brothers-in-arms with Fallout, but its from Ukraine lmfao

I watched your first video on this event in 2022, before even playing New Vegas. I'd forgotten about this event until that video showed up in my feed again this morning. I'm now playing New Vegas for the first time. And glad to see this event is growing in popularity.

The turnout this event brings always makes me worry if the next one would break The Saloon. Because then it becomes another gamble of "is it enough? or is it too much?" Either way, the atmosphere it brings is more than worth it so far.

I can only imagine when the 100th person came by the Saloon and mentioned that they were because of Fallout that the owner started thinking "Oh Lord, I'm gonna be rich." lol
