I have a 20 inch barrel (with an A2) and an 18 inch barrel (with an YHM phantom) I’m considering using. Do you think one would look more accurate to an actual FAMAR compared to the other?
This design is made to be printed with PLA+ on a standard size (ender 3) printer with a 220mm ish print bed. Nylon x would be an improvement for most of the parts and the buttplate can be printed in TPU. There is a picatinny rail mount in the files that can host an optic.
I've got a side project to make the rear part fit over a milspec ar so that preexisting SBRs can be used or so that people can print FAMAR kits for friends. As well as recreation of the FAMAS SMG prototype handguard and forend. After that I'll have a dev tool pack of every variant.
@@thegunfoogle2864 Awesome, I was converting the STL files to STEP for a SMG bullpup build but I guess I'll wait on that then. It's a pain in the butt.
The top charging handle is pretty great as it's on the front. The side of the upper is accessible and it could be built with a side charger without issues.
@@thomasstewart1380 it has to be the aim sport wraith. The hole spacing or width being slightly different will make parts sit differently and it could be unsafe.
@The Gun Foogle So the handguard would have to be modified to fit a rail I already have then. I'll probably just try to get a hold of the wraith if I can. Most likely just gonna build it from the ground up.
