A 20 year old having a baby with a 15 year old! The family should have gone to police upfront.

I watched the entire trial , it still makes me angry, the mother was the instigator, she deserved the death penalty..

Omg.. 35 years ago I was married for 9 months. I was very young and we moved next door to his mother on their property. His sister was creepy, jealous.. his brother hated me... his mom took my dog and CONTROLLED the family. She would report what times I came and went, my family was not allowed to visit, 😢 and my husband was controlling and abusive. He beat me when he was drunk and kicked me while I was on the floor. His mother came over and asked me "What did I do to cause him to do this!" I grabbed my keys to flee and she took them from me 😮 I then managed to sneak my spare set of keys, run to car, and locked the doors. Covered in blood, hardly able to bend or lift my arms I drove across the state line to a coworkers house and she took me to the hospital. My kidney was so swollen you could visually see it protruding in the photos, doctors said 1 more Kick and it would have ruptured. My sternum was fractured , making it difficult to raise my arms and painful to move, cough,sneeze 😢. Doctors stitched my face while the police took pictures and reports. When the divorce was final and I got my name back all I could say was, "Thank God I didn't have children with this man and his psycho family!!!" I've been happily married for 26 years and retired comfortably. Haven't thought about that past in long time. Listening to the testimony of these women brought back floods of horror and only reminded me 😭 that I had been so thankful 🙏 that I had no offspring attachment to that hideous family... Who knows what could have happened to me and my extended family 😵 I've never shared this life detail with strangers but hopefully I've shown enough RED 🚩Flags to help another person to get out of that type of relationship before it goes bad 💔🙏🙏🙏

Seems to me that this all happened bc that horrible woman wanted sole control of her grandchild at any cost and her family complied.

I think the mother was in charge of everything. She is controlling and clearly evil. Too bad she can get out in 30 years

I believe that mother was the mastermind in this insidious act🤬🤬🤬 They should not of given her a deal. She should of been sentenced to death. Infact all of them should of gotten the death penalty 🤬🤬

What a horrible shame that “mother” didn’t get life. She ran that family. She trained them from infancy not to question her and do what they were told.

No deals should have been given to those demons. They all need the death sentence.

It shakes me to my core too (like the defense attorney said) that one day Angela may be free. She was the ring leader - the consumate evil manipulator behind all that happened.

ALL of them are guilty ! George squirmed throughout the whole trial. Billy is up next. RIP to the 8 souls. The trial was absolutely gut wrenching. I hope the families are healing and surrounded with lovè & support 💕

The fact that they felt like they had to take out an entire family to make sure that they got custody of the child, says that they are so unfit that the only way they would get custody is if there was absolutely nobody else available.

7:30pm on a Saturday evening and Vinnie pops up. Perfect timing.

I watched this story all fall into place. I can’t imagine how evil this family is. These children growing up without the parents. All for jealousy…

Jake and Mom, the two most guilty in my opinion received the sweetheart deals of a lifetime. George and Dad will pay the real price for Jake and Mom's diabolical plan/scheme. They should not have given any deals and instead charged all of them.

It never fails to amaze me how far a narcissist will go to maintain control. She created children who dare not defy her and then she used them to do what she wanted done. Imagine how she treated her kids growing up in order to have that much control over them. Yikes 😳

I hope the mother never gets out of jail. She was the master mind! So Sad for the eight souls murdered.

I hate when the perpetrators or their families get custody of the child or children. I hope someone from the Rhodes family got custody of the little girl and not the Wagner’s.

This is the one case that I will never forget. I've lived in Ohio all my life and I remember when the Rhoden family were murdered. My heart goes out to each and every one of their loved ones that were left behind. ❤

As weird as Angela Wagner acted with the grandchildren and how she accused the mothers of sexually molesting them, I wouldn't doubt one bit if SHE was molesting them! Why would she INSIST her grandson's mom go lay down for a nap while she (Angela) played with him? 🤔 Think about it.

The fact that the kids were spared,shows that it was personal.

"Anyone with a badge is crooked, " o...k...... so murdering an entire family is... His family are delusional. I also wonder if Angela had an unhealthy obsession with her son Jake. Randomly accusing women of SA kids to get them out of his life.

So they take out an entire family over a baby that was conceived by statutory R…then they all turn on each other. They all deserve the same sentence they gave to all 8 (9 including that baby girl) victims.

It's such a horrific tragedy! Truth is definitely stranger than fiction. Hard, hard trial to watch (for real, the "ummms and uhhhs" were excruciating). And I do not think Angela nor Jake should have had the right to opt out of being on TV. They wanted to stay "hidden" like the cowards they are! So, so many affected by these acts of deviant creatures 😢💔

The artist is remarkable.

In small towns, young girls are running around freely with much older men. As they congratulate the man, the female is damned for everything even though she is a victim of a predator. These men are sick and never are held accountable for their actions.

George was thrown out to the wolves smh. You could see he was the one who was the most free willed and compassionate, which is why they all flipped on him before he could. Idk what the procecuters where thinking giving those kinds of deals out to the mother and the son who had the most incentive to kill the family for his kid. George deserves 15 to life with the possibility of parole the rest of them deserve the death penalty

The podcast is really good, too. No one "wins" in this.

Did anyone else that watched the entire trial realize that the defenses main argument was that George had no idea about the murders, but then at one point actually said he only went along the night of the murders to protect Jake from their dad?😂 I remember thinking throughout "there is no way all this planning went into it and then their actions after and he had no clue" then at the point they said he went along to the crime scenes that night to protect his brother i was like WAIT WHAT!!!!! How did he have no idea they was involved but yet he went with them that night make it make sense.

I followed this case and watched the trial. Very sad 😢 senseless crime.

To me it sounds like the mother was more involved, what she said goes. Throw them all in jail. The world will be a better place.

They all deserve at minimum life in prison without the possibility of parole. This family took eight lives. They do not deserve freedom if there is justice.

I remember when this happened it scared me then and still sticks with me now because it was horrible what they did to that whole family . They found Billy in Lexington Ky not far from where I live and I just couldn’t believe that he was that close to us . All because of a custodial dispute of a little girl that now doesn’t have a mother or a father it was all so senseless . They’re a cold blooded bunch of people no doubt about it !

This “mother” valued family so much that the first thing she does to save herself was turn against her son. George wasn’t stuck. He made choices to stay and go along w his mother’s deranged wishes. They were all whacked mentally. George was there. Despite all the antecedents, he was complicit.

I know this whole family and they are good people. I miss my friends. The Wagner's were always out for themselves and money. Kenneth bought the property off my father-in-law on left fork. I brought our daughter home when she was born to camp creek. I'm so sorry for my friends who died. Hannah Frankie and froggy (lil Chris) was with me a lot when they were younger. Bobby Jo their ain't was a good friend of mine and Dana was a hard working woman who loved her kids. I hate those for the Rhodens...

You did a good job presenting these cases to the public. That's the hard part seeing this entire family as guilty. When you think about it though that's the way they treated their victims: one unsubstantiated crime then the entire family was guilty and needed to pay with their lives.

George could have STOPPED IT ALL! He didn't!

I got to see this story all over the news when this happened. If you loved your child so much why would you kill her mother while she's sleep in Mom's bed?

This case is beyond heartbreaking and gut wrenching. The fact that one family unalived generations of another family all over custody of a child is mind-boggling to me. I am also shocked that Angela wasn’t at least given life without the possibility of parole since she was the mastermind and ring leader of this abhorrent plot. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families and loved ones. I hope that the children are being raised in a loving and supportive home where they are given the tools necessary to process and to begin to heal from this hellacious tragedy.

His defense talking about him right before he took the stand saying "he was a different person, he was an individual" which proved the DA's point. He was an individual he could've said no or went to LE he didn't HAVE to take part in the massacre! Good Job Bud!

Judges should be able to overturn amenity for horrible people like these.

Wow. The underlying spirit in the Wagner family was the mother's....she made the rules and planted the idea that the grandchildren were possibly being abused...unchecked by her husband and a consciousness that died in her soul long before these murders.

I really like this show! Vinnie is the best at what he does and that makes all the difference!

Many things can go wrong when one family are known criminals and the other family are known drug dealers.

The defense put up a good trail for George. I almost thought they might say not guilty. I don’t know if he actually killed anyone but he knew about it and didn’t do anything at the least. I wish he would of just left that day instead of going back. I’m sure he does too. It’s so crazy how they blew out an entire family and thought they’d get away with it.

George might have wanted to get away from his family but it was clear from the trial he still did what mommy and daddy asked of him. If his ex wife had the money to fight for her child she maybe dead to but George got control of his child. George may not have pulled the trigger but he was there during the planning and the murders. He could've came forward and might have saved himself a lot of jail time.

Angela must be laughing at how she so smartly beet the so called justice. This was a disgrace.

We can't help but think, had the local law followed through with statutory rape, as the one Wagner son, Jake, was probably having sex with Hannah when she was 13 or 14yrs old, and he was an adult. You have to wonder about someone like that, as well as the family that allowed her to move in and live with him under their roof. You'd think that would be contributing to the delinquency of a minor. What the heck is wrong with all those people there? It's just okay that an adult male has sex with young teenagers of 13, 14 or 15? Would all those people still be alive today if they'd have dealt with sketchy behavior years earlier? Good grief!

Oh the irony! Angela tells George how the crowd he was hanging with when he was a teen were a bad influence and rubbish people, etc... *SHE* was _THE_ bad influence and a complete POS herself. One has to wonder the reason she was consumed with the idea that the mothers of her grandkids, were sexually abusing their kids... Was it her that was doing that? She was so consumed with the idea, one must wonder why. As for her getting off so lightly for being the *puppet master* of the whole production, is a travesty of justice, to say the least.

And I’ll live in the next county over. And I remember when this happened. I didn’t realize Billy Wagner has not gone to trial yet.

We were right around that area that day picking up our puppy Wheaton Terrier. All of the sirens, would never had realized what was happening for the four hour drive back to Cleveland then seeing the news being horrified. Such a sad story that never needed to happen, so glad people are paying the price for this devastating family annihilation.

I can believe that George wanted to get away from his family, and I believe that he didn’t shot anyone, but he was there and knew the plans and did nothing to stop it. As far as Jake smiling and chuckling, that is most likely because of nervousness, which is common. I’m not defending Jake at all, but you can’t take those actions, the smiling and chuckling, as a sign of enjoyment.

Amazing how the state of Ohio made the deals with the two worst member of that family. The mother was prodding the sons crimes, she's the one that demanded the children be turned over to her, and Alex is the one who wanted them all dead, as the only way he could have his child.
