I was totally blown away by how many people viewed my previous uploads so back by popular demand is another Family Feud! Batman vs. Lost in Space (1983)
Rest in heaven both Richard Dawson, Adam West, Yvonne Craig, Vincent Price, Guy Williams and Bob May. Greatful legends will be never, ever be forgotten.
I hadn't realized that Yvonne was gone. Are Angela and Marta still well? I was reading a while back about surviving cast members of "Pettycoat Junction" and it said that June Lockhart is 96 and doing well. 🙂
I worked at a Milwaukee television station in the 1970s and met and shook hands with Vincent Price when he was on a promotional tour for Sears & Roebuck. I knew the man's work with Roger Corman and AIP from all of his Poe classics from the 60s. A very nice man. Quite a thrill to meet him.
I still love Guy Williams! Such a handsome man! We recently found the entire DVD series of Lost In Space for only $20 at Walmart. What a treat to watch one of my favorite childhood shows from start to finish.
Me too! Couldn't believe it- what a deal but greatly underpriced. It contains the Pilot too and a code to download them all for back-up. An amazing show that could and should have had more seasons.
@@rickdickerson1204 It has been released a couple times in limited editions, but it tends so sell very fast. You can pay through the nose on Ebay if you are desperate. I just bought the entire series from the only place in the world that has it--Amazon France, but it is Region 2 and the 90s, colorized versions. I'm still hoping for a Blu-Ray release at some point as re-watching the show has been so fun. Guy was the best Zorro and will never be topped. No one could even come close.
I just happened to come upon this by accident. I saw these celebrity feud shows when they first aired. It's good to see them again after all these years. Very touching. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot for putting this on. So many wonderful people that made my childhood a better place, and many no longer with us. I miss the lighthearted friendliness of those days. They really seemed to be having fun with each other.
That was a great show 👍. Both teams were great. I enjoyed watching Adam and Burt play together for the $5000. It was just like they were fighting crime together again. Great team work.
Turned out to be? A lot of guys had a crush on her at the time too. I met all 3 women about 20 years ago, about 20 years after this Family Feud. While all 3 women were attractive, it was actually June Lockhart who was the real stunner, despite her being in her late 70s at the time. It was obvious to me that she would never lose her looks, and is an extremely bright, personable, and vibrant person.
Would also have been amazing having the Zorro cast there, although Henry Calvin wasn't living anymore. RIP The others were still living in 1983 I suppose.
@@Yebirax that is a GREAT idea...I so wished they would have thought of it....Guy Williams, Gene Sheldon, Don Diamond, Britt Lomond, & George J Lewis, and if they could not get one of them, then Jolene Brand.
It was so good to see Guy Williams back with the cast as he felt very slighted as Jonathan Harris and the Robot upstaged up on the show despite a contract that made him and June Lockhart as the highest paid and most important cast members.
I love It! These are my childhood memories. I still watch Lost in Space. Great actresses and actors. I always wonder who did the robot's voice and now I know. I liked both tv shows. Old School TV. 📺 📺 📺 📺 2021
Another actor did the voice of the robot. Bob was inside the physical robot, moving the arms etc. I met the cast (except for Guy Williams, and I'm not sure about Mark Goddard) at a sci-fi convention, and they all considered Bob an equal member of the cast.
Adam actually did go down the Batpole in a made-for-television film called Return to the Batcave- The Misadventures of Adam & Burt. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fC-efhnPdKo.html
This is a great episode. It's the closest to a Batman reunion special we'll ever get. Rest in peace Richard Dawson, Adam West, Burt Ward, Yvonne Craig, and Vincent Price.
@@bradleytaylor4950 Oh, sure..no worries! I just wanted to make sure you knew. Yes, you are right...It will come true one day. So sad to lose to many of our Hollywood and TV Legends. Such is life. But, they were the Golden Era🌟🌠⭐..the kind we will never see the likes of again. 💝
@@bradleytaylor4950 Oh, sure...no worries!! Yes, one day it will be true, sadly. We have lost so many legendary television and movie stars..especially over the last few years. Such is life. But, they were the Golden Age and Era of Hollywood⭐🌠⭐~~the kind and likes of which we might never be graced with again.
Too bad the Feud categorized in star power as opposed to cast order. Batman facing off against Professor John Robinson would have been a great moment in Television history. An opportunity that could have happened, but sadly never did.
I believe this was the last time Guy Williams appeared with his Lost in Space family before he was found dead of an apparent heart attack in his apartment in Buenos Aires, Argentina six years later in 1989.
@@mrjoed40 Well the article I read did say apparent heart attack. Was it true his body was not discovered for several days? I recall reading that some time ago.
@@mrjoed40 Thanks for the correction. I grew up without a father in our home so Professor Robinson and Lucas McCain and Mr Eddie's father were all role models for me as a boy. Did it seem Guy seemed a little out of it while playing Family Feud. I wonder if he was on some medication. You know Jonathan Harris told them he would not be caught dead doing a game show haha. I think Bill Mumy was busy. I had my first boy crush on Penny haha. I recall in an interview Bill Mumy did say later in life he and Angela Cartwright did hook up for a while. Hmmm was that a little weird for them . Nahhh.
@@Bill23799 Yes Guy did seems a little out of his element. Remember he moved to Argentina in 1973, so he was out of show biz quite a while when he did family feud in 1983. My dad was like a drill seargent , so I wanted Guy to be my dad.
Zorro was the very great inspiration for Batman. Their secret identities (Don Diego Vega/de la Vega and Bruce Wayne) both had a manservant. Alfred Pennyworth was capable of speaking to humanity unlike Bernardo.
Wow, Cat Woman and Bat Girl together again and they both still look so gorgeous! What the heck was Hawaiian Eye? At 6 foot 3 inches along with that smile, Guy Williams was like the most handsome man to ever grace the silver screen!
This game was a mess. And I could tell June was not happy even though she acted amiably. Of course Richard Dawson made it right. Also it's the only time I ever saw Richard Dawson start to lose patience just a tad, when Yvonne was lollygagging talking about the blue flowers. Then of course when an audience member shouted out and they are not supposed to do that. Richard was right on with his comedy of errors comment. Alot of folks don't realize how challenging working as a game show host really is.
How ironic... The two shows that competed against each other in 1966 at the same time slot. Batman (ABC) and Lost in Space (CBS) I was a religious Lost in Space viewer until Batman came on the air and then I switched. One of my close schoolmates stuck it out with Lost in Space though (after I watched reruns, I wondered if he was right)
Right. And June was trying to smile, you could tell she was not happy. International Hearing Dogs appears to be something that is very close to her heart. But in the end Richard Dawson made it right. Lost in Space family got an equal amount of prize money for their charity. But the whole match was such a fiasco, what with the audience shouting and Yvonne hemming and hawwing when Richard was trying to get back within the time constraints. This is the only time I ever saw Richard Dawson come very close to losing his patience, he began to lose control over the game. But Bless his heart, he pulled it out. 🙂
FANTÁSTICO FAMILY FEUD CON EL INMENSO RICHARD DAWSON!!! CON TANTAS QUERIDÍSIMAS ESTRELLAS, DE SERIES SUPEREXITOSAS!!! GRACIAS POR LOS MOMENTOS TAN AGRADABLES QUE NOS HCIERON, Y HACEN PASAR A TANTAS PERSONAS!!
Wow, thanks for posting this! I grew up watching both Zorro and Batman on TV and loved both shows. I never knew the actors crossed paths on another show together, so it was quite fun seeing this. It was always so good having heroes who upheld justice and cared about others and used their brains and athleticism to save the day. They both had faithful sidekicks/team members they worked well with, and family members or friends their alter egos could interact with, so we really got to see multiple sides of their characters. They made intelligence something to be admired, a sense of humor and fun something to enjoy, and a strong sense of compassion and a desire to serve others something to emulate. Along with Robin Hood, they were a trio of dashing, debonair, and gentlemanlike heroes. Thanks for sharing this slice of history with us.
@@debbieleroy8146 fun fact: in the Batman and Robin screen test, there’s a sign that says “Adam West and Burton Gervis” when it was so obviously Burt Ward
Celebrating Christmas by watching old Family Feud (my loved ones have crossed over and are now my guardian angels - I watched this with my Grammy in the 1970s)
Trivia. Since the start of cinema 100 have donned Dracula’s cape Frank Langella ruled. over 50 have worned Zorro s cape. Guy Williams with Disney by far the best!!!
🙋🏼♀️i’ve read a lot of comments about _clothes vs jeans_ and i agree that the judges were *wrong.* 🙆🏼♀️ What i hadn’t read is that there WAS a (imo) FAIR SOLUTION! 🤷♀️The decision to allow both teams to benefit equally was not only favorable for all the contestants😬🙌🏻but also a *GREAT BENEFIT* to both charities!! 🤜🏻💥🤛🏻 LOL _someday_ i’m gonna learn 🙄😳to watch the program _before_ reading 📖 comments dammit!!🤦🏼♀️😬💋
21:25 Can Batman get that final point for his charity? And what's wrong with hollandaise on fish? Did one person said knife for something with a blade? Talk about cutting edge. To find out more, tune in tomorrow night, same Bat Time, same Bat Channel!!!
One of my most cherished memories was meeting the Batman cast at a Comic Con years ago. Unbelievably cool, nice people. And I hate to make some of you jealous, but I posed for a picture with Yvonne Craig and she held me in her arms! (sigh)
Her sister was Veronica Cartwright and she was also a child actress, playing the character of Violet Rutherford on “Leave It To Beaver”. She was the daughter of Fred Rutherford, who was Ward Cleaver’s irritant at the office. She always had a crush on Beaver, who of course hated girls. Then she had blood splattered all over her during the chestburster scene in the original “Alien” movie. Her scream was quite real since Ridley Scott never told the cast about that scene and sprung the chestburster on the cast as a surprise, so all of their reactions were real. That scene was not included in the scripts given to the cast.
The main Lost in Space character Johnathan Harris called up Bill Mumy and said im not doing that show, i dont want that Dawson guy kissing me. Bill Mumy agreed and they both didnt go on the Family feud because they thought the show was stupid....interesting fact as i watched Johnathan Harris say this on a talk show.
Burt ward in his book insinuated that he and marta ktisten were lovers in early 70s. Their last breakup she was carrying an axe and he gently told her to put it down. He also commented that they didn't make eye contact during this show
