@@sethcarter6121 brother the question was about who you'd want up with the game on the line in the world series. Acuna had a historic season and is a great player but in the history of baseball there are sooooooo many players I'd pick before him in terms of world series on the line

@@Celestial_Coda yep, San Antonio is the 10th most populous city in the US, and the most populated city that doesn't have a major league team. And baseball is huge in Texas, there would definitely be an immediate fan base.

The current top baseball team in San Juan is the Cangrejeros de Santurce, with Santurce being a district of the city and Cangrejeros is generally translated as "Crabbers", so San Juan Crabbers would be the MLB version I guess.

Sorry, neither place will ever get an expansion, the adjacent existing franchises already depend on drawing attendance from those areas to survive. Las Vegas will get Oakland's franchise, so Denver and Las Vegas will mean no to SLC. If there are expansion franchises (a BIG if at this point), it will be to Mexico City, Montreal, London, and some city in Japan. MLB wants to go world-wide. Cuba and Puerto Rico would get franchises (if not for the hurricane risk), before Nashville and SLC.

Mexico City is actually further above sea level than Denver, by quite a lot. Denver is 5,280 feet, whereas Mexico City is 7,349 feet. It's why the NFL teams always train in the Rockies before they play games at the Estadio Azteca. So imagine the size of the outfield you'd need to accomodate for that - you'd basically have to put the short stop as a second CF. It's always been weird to me that Louisville isn't a bigger deal in baseball, seeing as how Louisville Slugger is such a ubiquitous part of the sport. My gut still tells me Nashville would be a bad baseball town, but all the hockey fans would have said the same thing about the Predators and their fans/home game atmosphere has been awesome so maybe I'm wrong. But I'm still upset that Montreal wasn't no. 1 because I'm all in on baseball being back in Montreal.
