No new Brian was there to replace Brian for getting old. The one they got after Brian died is Vinny and he was kinder and sympathetic to Stewie.

Yes, it’s a new bear. Brian found one on the drive home from paying their respects to Rupert on the hill. Stewie was sleeping in the car when Brian got it.

There are soany Star Wars references, that its easy to forget their occasional Star Trek ones. Even though Stewie did created a functional transporter and had the cast of TNG along for a day. lol

The dog you're thinking about is Vinny. Brian dies and they get Vinny, an Italian dog, to replace him. That dog is New Brian. Brian is still around, they just get a second dog because they realize Brian's getting old, you know cause he's a dog. Brian's still there with New Brian around though, and Stewie never liked him, and you saw how it ended.

Love the vid Blu. And you're right that it's weird how Stewie and Rupert's relationship never seems to change or evolve. But to be fair, it would be super awkward if the show ever did have their relationship "develop further."

you saw stewie find him in pieces in the beginning of this, the mountain top funeral and ashes and the last clip are the same episode. the other dog in this is new brian, different from the one that replaced bnrian for a few episodes that was name vinny

Right thinking of replacement but Wrong episode blu...Vinny replaced Brian for an episode or two and It was cause the fans being outraged the creators brought Brian back which also peeved off some fans cause to then it made no sense to have him brought back ...new Brian was a one off character that was to replace Brian due to him getting old and Stewie outright killed new Brian cause he humped Rupert...
