Taken from the episode "Amish Guy". Peter Griffin and other people get no success on getting past the part where they drop down during the ride and continue on. Instead they go backwards and crash into something.
...You know the Griffins are gonna have to send that poor woman’s family AND all of the families related to this rollercoaster incident a *lot* of money.
It’s a pretty poor design if you think about it: 1. Can’t handle an additional hundred or so pounds at the front. 2. Easily derails when forced backwards.
Also the fact that it doesn't even have an anti rollback system on the lift hill. Yknow that clicking that you hear when you go up the lift hill on a rollercoaster (that you can hear in this clip), thats actually a system that prevents the train from rolling back down the lift if the chain stops for whatever reason.
@Michael Dwyer - No, that’s just what she said in another episode when he thought he was raped during a prostate exam. Here he wore a corset so he could get on the ride thereby causing this accident. Therefore; he’s a f[BLEEP]ing idiot. 🤪
@SnakeEyes25 - We’ve all lost track. Not counting the cutaways, (because those are just random jokes for the series’s theme), he’s done probably more than 50 or 60 stupid things that qualify under “f[BLEEP]ing idiot”.
Since no one has talked bout it I'll be the first to bring it up: as the coaster crashes and everyone screams theres terrible piano music playing in the background
In real life, this would lead to a massive lawsuit and the park potentially being forced to close this ride permanently. Thankfully, in modern coasters, a rollback safety device can prevent incidents like this.
At Six Flags Over Texas, on The Texas Giant roller coaster, an overweight woman complained that the restraint on the train did not come down all the way for her, but the staff shrugged it off. She fell off the coaster and died. They have since replaced the old version of the coaster (for more reasons than that incident) with a new one with the same name
Not a roller coaster, but improper weight distribution and seating on a water ride caused a horrific death of a child at a schlitterbahn a few years back
Nothing like this would have or ever has happened in real life. Coasters have a lot of redundant safety measures that keep accidents from happening. Such as an anti rollback system on the lift hill. That clicking noise that you hear when you go up a lift hill is actually a system that prevents the train from rolling back down the hill if the chain stops. Accidents or even deaths that involve rollercoasters are almost never at the fault of the ride itself but a fault of the staff running it, or the guests in the park. In fact you have a much higher chance of getting in an accident driving to an amusement park than having an accident at it. Amusement parks offer simulated danger, 99.9999999999% of the time there is no real danger as long as all of the safety procedures are followed.
@@parker-boy98 Dude it's a cartoon and it's Family Guy, so what did you expected? This Show is known for it's Dark Humor. When it is not your flavour, then don't watch it. But that doesn't mean you have the right to be a moral policeman over me just because I can laugh about Peter's stupidity in this scene. Damn you really need to chill!
@@parker-boy98 so, you're ranting about the fact that this is a cartoon, where everything is drawn, in fiction, and we can't laugh at it? I can't believe someone like you can be so sensitive to people (fictional people, not real people) dying in a rollercoaster accident. You know damn well that piano was the best thing in this scene; I laughed at it nonstop. You must be too gullible to tell people they can't laugh at it when you don't have any right to tell them. That's your own opinion, so I suggest you to mind your own business before more people pick on you for your unnecessary concerns about "That's not funny" just because it's a cartoon.
Rip ARB system. ARB system meaning Anti-rollback system, is the set of teeth next to the chain or cable that prevents an unwanted rollback down the hill. This is also why roller coaster click. A pawl falls down into the teeth essentially making it a rachet system.
That has confused me as of late. Peter is said to exceed a roller coaster's weight limit for a good portion of the episode but no one says a thing about Chris having a similar physique.
How To Make Time Travel A Good idea 1. Invent time machine. 2. Travel to 23rd century. 3. Probability changing machine to make probability certain that time travel is a good idea forever.
The click-click-click you hear on a roller coaster when the chain is pulling the cars up, which is even included as a sound effect here, is a set of anti-rollback ratchets that keep the cars from doing exactly that.
It would of been more funny if Peter was in the back and the roller coaster was already going down but Peter weight change the direction but I still laughed when I first saw this episode
