Just found your video this morning. Subscribing. I’ve been a one man band cutting trees and skidding for the last ten days in PA with the same hot humid temperatures you’ve had. It’s been brutal. Had a sugar maple barber chair on me a few days ago but I was ready for it. Still scary when you’re working by yourself. The log yard is full and I’ve taken the weekend off. Got a small amount of rain yesterday and it cooled it from the mid nineties down to the low eighties. Got those hit it hard to get this job done next week. Be safe. Get logs! Whipple
When you need to hustle you can put the camera in the skidder for another view lol and added footage show forward and the watching the logs being towed to your landing/ loading area .

You are right about runnin the AC full blast. You’re better off without it. Retired Laborer (40 years) Started on a dairy farm 1959 upstate N.Y., retired 2009. When I was drinkin, if I went to a tavern for lunch, I had to keep flannel shirts in my truck to wear to lunch!🤣 After that, I just found a shady spot to have lunch. Keep on keeping on, Brother!
Ole Conner wasn't pulling your leg this time...Some of the best timber ya all been in for awhile! I thought your Dad was gonna fall over bacywards the one time just trying to get his neck back far enough to see the top of them long- legged Poplars!😂 All you can do in the heat is drink fluids and pace yourself. If I get in the AC it causes my muscles to Charlie horse...Be safe and enjoy these cooler temps this week!
Great video guys!!! Those were some good poplars. If y’all ever get to feeling run down from that heat try some Liquid IV. It’s not the cheapest thing in the world but man, it sure works good. Just mix a pack in a bottle of water. Maybe keep a few packs in the glove box on the truck just in case. Y’all have a great weekend!!!!
Nice to see Ike , never tuned on a/c on because didn’t have a/c opened windows and the vent window all the way while driving air would blow on you . Conner knows the trees , good eyes . Stay safe stay country.
Date and hour on your air filters so you know how long they are in next time you go to change them mabe look at changing every so many hours . If you have an hour meter on the engine.
Only air conditioning I have is in my bedroom where I sleep, I live in south west Florida it’s hotter than hell, down here but as long as you stay acclimated to it your body can take the heat!

Hello Boy's it sure is getting Hot down south. It's so hot I have to boil my bath water to cool it off. 😂😂 Mr. Tommy I think it's about time you retire that chainsaw to the younger boys.
I never run the a c during the day. I worked construction till i retired. Somedays working with 300 degree asphalt so no ac at lunch time. But sure was nice on the way home. Couldnt get in pool either would send my body into shock.
I subscribed to a channel called Pepe’s tow and recovery,and they named the tow rigs with names too a one is Hulk, ,,it’s big, 75 ton rotator, thanks or or the one they call big flipper, thanks BigAl California

Glad Yall skidder not running hot , never been on a skidder , but have hauled em in the past , shears too , Hauled a many a load of logs /pulpwood , back in the day .Not real sure anythings worth a flip in this economy . @@BackwoodsTN My Truckin days are Long Gone Landon, i give it up about 2yr ago. just tryin to survive on SS ,(starvation star}Tryin to enjoy life Good Lord willin & the creek dont rise , i be 66 next month!! I got a million accident free miles under my belt, which aint a drop in the bucket compared to some .but i am proud of it . Log haulin was where i started in 98, drug a walkin floor & tater wagon all over TX, La,Ark,Ok, & Miss. , Passed Gas & diesel awhile , wound up on a Motorgrader

I take and knock the center out of the thermostat and put it back in that way it slows the flow of water going thru the system and cools better if it's taken out water goes to fast in turn not cooling as well as restricted a little. Y'all need to choke the logs closer to the ends that way they won't be digging into the ground or up under the skidder i learned that the hard way breaking cables and choker chains and it keeps the logs cleaner i got handed the axe and told get the dirt off there so i want dull the chain bucking them to length but take plenty of water breaks and don't over do it in these hot days stay blessed when will y'all be doing the next live haven't been able to catch any in awhile well last was on the other channel
I'm 38, live in Northern Ohio, not far from the lake. Work in heavy equipment, mostly in the BP oil refinery. My dad taught me when it's hot, stay hot, when it's cold, stay cold. I eat my lunch in the work truck, no heat or AC, everyone else is in the work trailer. I can't recall the last time I had a cold, of any sort. The other guys here, are constantly getting sick. Changing temps multiple times a day, everyday, is just not good for the body. That your vitamins, eat some what healthy, get a good days of work in, and you will stay pretty healthy.
New subscriber here. Years ago I decided to quit complaining about the weather. I figured that I couldn't do better at creating a day than God does, so who am I to complain?
Just saw yer channel and subscribed great video I never use ac either in truck just ride with windows down here in upstate NY have to agree keeps you use to the heat but once im home ac is on in house you are blessed being able to work with family and friends keep them videos coming

We did this all my life I am 68 ans all but one uncle and me are left that is how we did it why don’t you have 5 cables on the skidded. We used 3 on a 350 jd loader

@@BackwoodsTN We just found you guys today and subscribed. We are from eastern Canada and we have lots of poplar in our woods and we use it to burn in our stove all winter. It’s not a real hard wood but gives a fair amount of heat. Just a question…are you guys a Dad and 3 sons? A grandad, son, and 2 grandsons?
Y'all hardly even log if most company's done like that they would be out of business quick I don't see how you do it me and my brother in law is just 2 man crew and we cut 30 40 50 loads a week tractor trailer every time Livingston, TN
