This is exactly why fathers need to be present in their son’s lives.

I hate to be the 1 to speak the TRUTH but without it,,, we’ll stay lost & confused. These boys took something and had to replace it or catch the consequences. We have to do better as PARENTS! We see what our children are doing and want someone else to clean up the mess “we’ve”made. It’s NOT up to the community to save our households after it’s out of control. My condolences. Until we make a change within ourselves and provide structure for our children it’s going to be an uphill battle. I am the mother of 4 young men that are respectful and productive. It’s possible to do but requires HARD WORK & DETERMINATION to provide a better way of life.

All you hear are the women in the family saying “ We cried out for help” WTF are these fathers? This is tragic. May he rest in peace, he and his 12 year old friend🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️🥲

Those two are blaming everyone else but themselves. Those two boys didn't become thugs overnight.

As some others have said, all I hear are excuses and no accountability for his actions. He didn't become aggressive/bad overnight. When he was younger they probably thought it was cute. I guarantee the parent was the one of those at the school cussing out teachers etc if anyone said anything to him or tried to discipline him.

Parents continue to pray over your children.

If you read this, know that you did everything you could. Unfortunately, our children have to make their own choices and at some point, we can't stop them. When a black mother is begging cops to arrest their son, you know that this is their last hope and they don't know what else to do.
