'' Bee-Anca''. Why do you feel the need to write this kind of childish comment? What about you? Not a nurse, not a mom, not a builder... Dang- You're not a '' superwoman''.
I absolutely LOVE the curved doorway over the shower. I’ve been watching van conversation videos for years and this was the first time I seen a curved doorway. Beautiful.
What a lovely couple! Great van build too. Good to see that nurses who devote their lives to helping humanity can have time to enjoy their lives with their children. Wonderful!!!
Janelle, you are amazing!!!!! Wow - what an inspiration you are to build this van yourself!!! Your boys are getting such a great experience ~ perhaps you'll do this full time at some point? Enjoy every moment ~ sending you light, love, peace, joy and abundance always. I love you.
This is a tremendous van build! And great to see a build by a woman - I built mine by myself as well! I love your overall aesthetic - great colors and I love the arches. Some people say that the aesthetics don’e matter, but the truth is (at least for me), you do spend pretty much time in your van and having a beautiful interior can really put you in a better frame of mind. Thanks for sharing!
I like the fact that you made the most of your van space. You didn't line every where with countertops like some people do and then not have a space for a shower. And your bathroom is beautiful, with that bathroom window being novel. It's plain and simple but it's working well for you. You didn't talk about your living area and dining with table set up.
Listen I’m a mom of 7 ( although two are away @ college ). I truly want to live our summers in a decked out RV being pulled by our suburban!! I’ll keep our homes for fall & winter ! But i truly desire to live as a minimalist & downsize for our summer travels ! I’ve been giving away so much nice stuff ! I’ve felt so wasteful these past two years … I’m changing my shopping habits & redirected my children to be happy w/ adventure & not materialistic stuff !! I love these videos I almost cry watching because I’m just so excited to buy our RV & get on the road next summer ! Thinking of hiring a tutor to travel during the school year in the next two years Keep these videos coming 🫶🏾🥲
You guys are lovely. Well done on your beautiful build. I love how the arches soften the edges. I love the peel and stick tiles, and very impressed how well they're holding out in your wet areas.
im glad to see that your boys have someplace to sleep besides on the floor, like many other vans. only once have i seen where there was a drop down bed over the front seats. for a teen..
I love how in this case the wife and not the husband is the "handyman!" LOL. Your husband is lucky to have married you! LOL. Love the bathroom! The fixed bed is great too! All in all, its amazing how two adults and two children fit in that little van. You've done wonders with limited space. Only change I would make is to make the kitchen sink deeper, get a faucet that can be stretched and to get a composting toilet.
I luv it. Easy fix for u on the bottom cabinets. U can attach a curtain using the rod system from ikea to make it look like a dust ruffle and u can still utilize it. Great job!!!!!👍👍👍
And also since ur into macrame u can make that curtain out of that and hand it around that opening. Ur talented so u will come up with something unique. Can’t wait to see what u come up with.
Enjoyed the tour, especially the mention of lightweight countertop - I will consider epoxy instead of laminate. Do evaluate your safety - DOT-approved seating for your sons and enclosure for your propane tank with a vent to the outside. Also, didn't see anything securing the batteries - anything heavy that will fly in an accident needs to strapped down.
This is very nice. What kind of set-up do you have for passengers to buckle up while you are in motion? I'd like to bring grandkids along and I don't see this addressed when people give tours of their rigs. Thanks for sharing your beautiful Home away from Home.
This is surely a beautiful tiny home... Good to see a female nurse doing all the work and keep everyone happy and safe.. I am planning to get hold of some camper van builders in Bangalore to see if they allow me to present them in a good way!! (Well, two attempts failed..!! They thought, I am from their competitors! Hehehehe}
This is a full-time home? I do not know if I could do it. I’m living in a 350sq ft mini studio garage conversion and I can barely fit in all my stuff- including 5 guitars, etc. etc. But, this van is way cool!
Fabulous countertop idea! Love the arches used throughout the build and the thin panels you made them from. More info on this and the countertop please? Not sure about a window in the shower? Skeptical like you about the durability of the stick on tiles, but they look great! Your sliding doors above the cab is another great idea. 👍 I like the cabinets without pulls. Would like to know about the hot water heater? Be blessed!
Nice job, Janelle!! I have the exact same van! Love all of the arches throughout and how you covered the passenger van windows in some spots to allow for more privacy. I too kept that AC unit in back. Well done!
I love your van and the fact u keep your bed in one place and still have room. And the kids beds does double duty. Good job. I noticed the long pillow with tassels on your bed...do u mind if I ask where u got it? I've been looking for something like it. Thanks. Btw, you're extremely creative.
I love the build. Only have one question. Where do your boys sit while driving down the road? I have 3 boys and I want to do a similar build next year.
It Always To Have A Heat Ventilation For Your Solar Power. Underneath Your Bed. That Way Your Solar Battery Can Stay Normal While Recharging. Love You Video
So mom and dad have a nice queen size bed kids sleep on a bench covered with foam for mattress and when traveling where do kids sit with safety belts only saw two seats
Really? Their children are small. The bench bed is fine for them. Relax. These 2 adults are nurses and I’m sure they will build what they need as the boys grow. People need to remember that folks live OUT of their vans, not necessarily IN them! They have a roof, bed, bathroom, shower, clothes and food. Plus they get to play outside all day! Sounds amazing to me! ❤
Wonder about how close the tap (faucet) is to the mattress and how you manage to prevent water getting on the bedding when using the sink. Also endorsing concerns other comments have also raised about poor propane tank storage (no vent or sealed box ) ... which is a very real hazard.
Such a sweet van. ❤️ that you can be on or off grid. I'm with the boys, when is our next camp adventure. LOL. This conversion is like a tiny home. The shower makes it just lovely. Thank you for sharing and all the great tips. What a beautiful family.
Nice build for two people but I'd have to have a schoolie with two small kids. Any particular reason you didn't put stovetop on sliding door side, sink too? Seems better for ventilation needed while cooking. Enjoy, good luck, and safe travels.🤗 ....from a retired RN.
I could sooo live in this now that I'm retired. So the counter top (epoxy) are there any concerns about the propane stove being so close? Looks amazing btw.
Some great decor ideas .. i would absolutely hate having that cupboard above my head when sleeping. .. white & copper are hard to keep looking nice. Stainless steel is my preferred.
What about seating for the kids when on the road? On the side couch and no 3 point seat belts? Are they comfy traveling facing side way for long travels?
I worry about the lack of a vented propane tank locker, and no LPG or CO detector. It didn’t appear the propane tank was secured to anything either. How the kids are safely seated/belted while driving escaped the video as well.
Is it safe to live with propane without having it in a sealed box and vent it out and under the van? Just concerned. All the other vans I’ve seen have a box just incase there is a leak!
