This is an example of roller coaster equipment working properly. Roller coasters primarily run off gravity and momentum so it’s common for them to valley on rare occasions. This causes the entire coaster to shut down so another train won’t be sent. I’d much rather sit and wait for the fire department then get hit.
Yes, the safety system worked there, but it also shows the bad design of the coaster. Its still stupid that it can valley anywhere outside the brakes or atleast that high. Anyway I still would go on it, as it is safe to operate.
The boosters failed to launch the coaster up to full speed. So, when it got to the highest point on the ride, it didn’t quite make it and started rolling backwards. Probably an electrical issue in the launch system. It’s very rare, but it does happen.
This happened on a clone of this ride, called Jokers Jinx. Usually because the system fails some point before the ride is finished launching. Happens on launch coasters occasionally.
That was so sudden. I was working there when the ride opened and remember riding it a few times before they opened to the public. In fact there was so much hype and good reviews about the ride after opening, that incident was so unforeseen. The irony that this didn’t happen on the original though lol.
all power sources for the ride have to be locked out, logistics of getting fire dept from behind the scenes to the ride location, setting up all safety equipment, providing safety info to the ppl being rescued. it’s not like it’ll take 20 mins
well, the ride was in slanted. meaning some people don’t like being stuck up there for long and if they did bad things can happen. the sun is a major problem being in the heat can make people very hot and thirsty. I have written this ride multiple times and it really would suck to get stuck. and if it rolls backwards it can end up going off the track and everyone can die.
They’re actually re-theming the ride for 2022, it was announced a few days ago. Idk if they’re changing the tracks, but the theme is gonna be completely new and scary
