In fact, in the divorce papers, the husband said her mother told her to just ahead and die! (I recall that was what was said but it's been a long time since I read them.). Not only did she not properly care for herself but she was really peculiar about how she cared for her daughter which is why her father got custody. I doubt anyone considers her a Vallow as in reputation; her name was Vallow when she had her brother kill her husband and when she was involved in the death of the children. Aside from that, I'm quite certain every time she sees herself referred to as Vallow it really grates on her nerves because she has no control over that and she wants control over everything. After all she considers herself a god. On all official statements I've seen, her name is Lori Vallow Daybell as it is on legal documents revealed. Anyone remotely familiar with the case knows the Vallow family had nothing to do with anything negative here. While it might make more sense to use Cox in her name, that would be discounting all her husbands, including the two she killed (or is responsible for). To use Cox, technically, they would need to also use all of her married names. Personally, I enjoy her being referred to as Vallow in most of these reports because I know it must upset her and she cannot choose to block it out of her mind.

She did her best to try and either get him put in jail or killed luckily he got away. But her family does not know that she was The Mastermind behind what sent her first husband to jail as he didn't want the mother of his child torn from the baby. He spent two years in federal prison for her crimes. She got probation but ran came to California changed her name back to her original birth name got a new driver's license in her name but get this it had a fake front name she didn't have to change it until the law changed and your ID had to match Social Security numbers. Yep for years nobody knew what her real first name was even my husband's family didn't know what her real name was and when he started having to call her that in the court documents for their divorce they didn't know who he was talking about! They thought he was dating someone. But they had filed for divorce before the law had changed and right in the middle of the divorce the law changed and everything had to be changed over and the court documents got really hairy there for a little bit because the court didn't know who he was divorcing. I didn't meet him until after the divorce. But even then his family still didn't know when he called her by her first name that that's who she was. They always used her nickname the pseudonym that she had used to hide behind all those years.

I think she would get angry about yet another man trying to leave her and start lying about her husbands in retaliation. That said, Joseph Ryan was at the very least physically abusive to Colby, Joseph's own sister verifies that Joseph was physically abusive to Colby. But if her kids were being sexually abused why wouldn't she file for divorce first? Seems odd that she supposedly knew of sexual abuse and didn't do or say anything until after Joseph filed for divorce. The thing about Colby is he has memories that don't necessarily line up with the actual timeline. He keeps saying that Lori was a single parent for such a long time, but that was never the case, Lori was never went unmarried for long. Joe was dead too long to be certain of the cause of death because of decomposition (and hot weather). Of course, when he died, there were not multiple deaths. Also, Lori requested they cremate his body when they notified her. As I recall, later, his sister asked his cremains be examined which they did but found nothing definitive.
