I loved paying attention to Jackson. From mimicking Tim when he was pointing out things in the living room to repeating Jenn when she said how nice the pool house smelled. After she laughs it sounds like he says "It's Nice". Also when they were showing dinner Tim says it looks nice, he asks Jackson what he thinks and it sounds like he says "Nice, Nice". Did anyone else notice anything else?
I love that house, reminds me of old Florida. Jackson was practicing his tour moves, too cute. One of the best things about being a scuba diver is being able to see so many sun rises and sun sets on the ocean. Be real quiet when it sets and you can hear it sizzle as it touches the water (or at least that's what my Mama used to tell us and I listen every time).
Oh my goodness! at 4:50 Tim makes a motion with his arms to show off the table and Jackson mimics him. I guess we know he'll be carrying on the family business!
OMG!! So funny, when Tim was showing the cross section of his awesome burrito and he asked Jenn to not crunch so loud. She kept right on crunching lol 😂. Those must be the crunchiest chips in Florida
I just wanted to say what an amazing job you guys are doing with Jackson I manage a pre-school in the UK and I often remark on how far forward he is. you offer him such amazing learning opportunities all the time and they are all so much fun and the books you share with him are awesome you should be so so proud of yourselves

Yeah, to us Floridians, anything older than the start of the Space Program (1950s/60s) is ANCIENT. Florida was uninhabitable for most of the post-colonization era due to mosquitoes.
You know when you wish you had done things differently, well this is the type of place I would have loved to stay in maybe 10 years ago. We had been coming to Orlando for maybe 4 years then always staying at Disney never venturing further than Universal for the day and then back to resort. But I just so wish I had taken the plunge, stayed a bit longer and either stayed at Disney for a week then the rest of the time just chillin in a beautiful home like this. This is the best place you have stayed in so far. The hotel stays were nice but this feels like a home away from home. I am actually welling up here it is just so lovely
Sometimes there are openings on the fireplace like that to start a little fire first to help start the draft. Then the big fire can be made and the smoke will go up and out properly.
I love the part where Tim is showing the table and then if you look at Jackson, he is mimicking daddy when he was showing the table by spreading his arms!!!!!! So Cute
Ok can I just say it?? I love Tim’s tours but this tour is so stinking cute because Jen and Jackson are involved as well. What an adorable family!! Also, my hubs met Tim back in summer of 2019 at Epcot and he is super humble. He did not have to stop and talk to my hubs or take a pic with him but he did. It made his day.
Love it! The hole on the side of the chimney could be, as Jenn said, to clean the flue, or if it wasn't originally on the outside of the house, and was a bedroom as it is now, it could be a vent for heat to the room.
Sidenote = Bro, TT, T-squared...I love you guys so much. You're the Godfather and Goat...but please, with all due respect to the busy-ness of parenting and vlog life, please fix that collapsed garage shelf before Jen and I lose our minds, lolol. Dig it.

Just came back from Majorca and went to this lookout point to watch the sunset over the sea. A lot of people were there and when it disappeared everyone applauded and cheered. Amazing.
My parents lived on Ana Maria for 40 years & it was my favorite spot. Now I live in Leesburg Fl & it’s time for a visit there again! Love the restaurants! Have a great vacation.

I just love to see how normal you all really are with the shelf in your garage that fell down however long ago It's still just hanging there, chillin,wait for dad to fix it! And that's called shiplap on the wall!! It could just be decorative, used a lot for beachy style or farmhouse style houses.
I agree with Jen, this house is much nicer than the last one. That yard is amazing… Lots of opportunity to just chill and relax, especially after Jackson goes down!😉
Those large "bird of paradise" plants in the backyard are actually Traveler's Palms. They are soooo amazing! We have 1 we planted in our backyard, and it is the centerpiece of that area of our yard.

So my dad was a mason that specialized in restoring fireplaces in old homes and I showed him that portion of the video, he said, without being able to look in the hole that it’s one of three things.. It could be something called a chimney thimble, an opening to accommodate the chimney of a separate wood burning stove but he doubts it because normally the hole would be round and why would you need a stove in addition to a fireplace in Florida? He said that’s something you would see in a climate like New England. Or it could be a ash dump or a ash well (kinda self explanatory) but he said it would normally be lower unless there was at one time a second fireplace directly above on the second floor. Again, he doubts that one too because the flue is too narrow to support the weight. He said that the most likely reason, again without being able to examine it, is that it appears that the firebox is wide but not too deep and the flue is narrow and they were having a problem with the fireplace smoking. By removing a couple bricks they were able to get another oxygen source into the flue to help the smoke draw up the chimney. He says it probably still smokes which is why they have candles in it and it’s out of commission. Also, no, that room would not have been the outside. In that era, before modern heating, and only one fireplace, it would be placed in the center of the house so that the heat of the fire would warm the bricks both behind and the flue above and then radiate warmth into any room butting up to the fireplace long after the fire has gone out. At night, you let the fire die down, then you would bank the coals in ash (build a little wall of ash around the coals, don’t do this btw, very unsafe), this kept the coals alive through the night. They gave off heat and it was easier to relight the fire in the morning. He said most likely those two bedrooms were originally one larger room and the shiplap wall is probably a modern addition and that’s what threw you in thinking it was once outside. Hope that helps👋

That hole in the side of the chimney is most likely a chimney "thimble". It's a small port in the chimney for attaching a stove vent pipe. At one time, a wood-burning stove may have been connected to the chimney.

Here in Leavenworth KS a lot of our houses look much like the house your staying at, with the brick and very old wood..not many places here use fireplaces anymore but the one we used as a kid had a red tin/metal top and never had the little compartment you looked at. We also still have houses with wood paneling like the one Jen asked about, and some not so modern style.
