As a preschool teacher, it really makes me happy how you guys are doing so well working with Jackson on his academics. He's gonna be kindergarten ready in no time!
When they're developing physically they tend to sleep and eat more. When they're developing mentally they tend to not sleep and eat as well. It makes sense that he's talking all of a sudden! His brain is thinking of all the things he can do and say!
My son keeps on wanting me to let you know that Jackson’s first ride was not little mermaid it was Dumbo. Jenn you r hair is beautiful. Love you guys❤️❤️❤️
I think a dance class for Jackson would be a great idea! I loved dancing when I was little too. I can’t wait till Jackson starts saying the outro with you!
This is random but is anyone else always checking to see how much closer they are getting to 1 mill? Lol been here for 6 years and I’m low key excited when that number hits.
Yes, me! 😆 Those numbers just slowly and consistently plod along. It’s so weird to me when I see a channel like De’Angelo Wallace soar from 300K to 1 Mil in like a week and this channel gains subs so slowly. I can’t wait until they hit 1 million! You’re right, they totally deserve it.
So there’s a HUGE language leap around 18-20 months old and he’s probably teething.. we just went through it with our girl! Give him Motrin if he’s in pain but try to stay as consistent as possible with bedtime. We wouldn’t go in unless she was crying for sometime (started with 5 minutes then increased), just told her it’s night night time. Eventually she got over it!
i’m the same way with my house being clean before traveling! I’m not sure why But there is something so satisfying about having a clean place to not only come home to but also for packing. I feel like it’s a clean slate like I can lay everything out and see it better if there’s not stuff scattered around me
It is amazing how much and how fast kids Jackson’s age learn. I love that age, it is a joy to watch them. Thank you for sharing this time with us. It is very special.
Just wanted to say how much of a light Jen always brings to the videos! Even when you say your eyebrows look silly, you don’t care and you just keep smiling! Thanks for always posting videos guys, they really make my day.
Get Jackson a Leap Frog Fridge Phonics to learn letter sounds!! If they won’t stick to your stainless fridge you can use a metal cookie sheet to put the magnetic letters on. When he learns the letter sounds then you get the Leap Frog set that he can build three letter words with. I taught all my grands how to read with these games! He’s so smart and I really enjoy watching all your videos! Y’all are so much fun!
Jackson has so much going on, it's that time in his life, Mommy and Daddy will get him through it. Today that little cutie is 20 months old. Happy Milestone Birthday Jackson.🎈🎉🎂
When my boys drooled it was a sign of teething which would lead to wrestles sleep, some crankiness and picky eating. There are soothing remedies to help them with the discomfort that you can choose from. Also, when my boys slept longer they had growth spurts. Fond memories. It was tough going thru that time but still cherished❤️. Thanks for all the hard work you guys do for us viewers. Your videos are always enjoyable.
I just love watching Jackson grow into his own little person and seeing him talking and starting to show his likes and dislikes. I enjoyed that so much when my son was little too. Jackson is the coolest little buddy❤️😎. Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo
My husband is the same way about wanting to fix things! He loves doing it. When we visit family in Florida he's always helping out with things too. Lol Jackson is very smart! I noticed on the rides sometimes he's looking at the ride gears like on the magic carpet ride. He's a very smart boy and sometimes we forget he's barely even 2 yet! You both work with him alot too.i love the home vlogs! Love to see what you guys are up to at home too!
A book I loved and love is Corduroy. Oh my goodness it has all the feels. Jackson is growing so fast! Our son had a huge growth last yr. His birthday is in April and I got him clothes and shoes. (It was his 16th last April and we were in lockdown so I went a little overboard) but all he outgrew the shoes and clothes! Now he is 17. He is 6'1 now! My boy man! Lol We are starting senior yr in August and talking about colleges! Yall, my mommy heart is really having a problem. I glad he is growing and doing his thing but I miss my lil man! I love seeing Jackson explore and learn. He is so sweet.
He's just over 18 months old in this video and knows some of his letters look like. That's awesome. I was 18 months and my favorite book was a Care Bears alphabet book that I don't know if they even make anymore. Keep up the good work!!
Jackson’s little voice is the cutest! I love seeing the Tim and Jackson moments in the home vlogs so cute! Jenn you look absolutely beautiful never apologize ❤️
This brought back memories of many nights sleeping on the floor with my hand through the cot bars! But I agree with others, no more naps and a later bedtime might help. Also Jenn, I know it's difficult, but don't worry about short periods of lack of sleep, he'll catch up. He's a little sweetheart
I love how you love Hawkers! It sounds like the hawker centres in Singapore (where I am from) and Malaysia (just next to Singapore)! Char Kway Teow is our local dish and we love it too!!! I hope you come by to Singapore some day and I will recommend the local hawker centres to have some delicious char kway teow and siew yoke (and lots more)!
Love your hair Jenn! Also as an early childhood teacher I cannot recommend Alphablocks enough!! Have Jackson start watching them on RU-vid and there’s so many students I’ve had who have learned to read just from watching them! Jackson is a bit young for that, but Alphablocks is seriously the best and will help him learn letters & letter sounds.
Hi, this was so nice. I smiled so much. I don't have kids, but I have been a babysitter off and on for most of my life, I even babysat two newborns up until they gone to kindergarten and then all different ages of kids. So I know a little about kids, and I think y'all are doing an amazing job with Jackson ☺️. Be Safe Take Care ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Jenn, tip for you, if you’re mainly wanting to go short for the Dyson I wouldn’t go too short. The Dyson hair wrap doesn’t curl shorter hair well in my experience. I think mid length (a few inches below shoulder length) or around your current length seems best. I had long hair when I got it which worked, and then had it cut to shoulder length and the other attachments still work but the curling wand isn’t great. But I’m sure your hair will be gorgeous as always no matter what you choose!
I wonder if he’s going through a “Leap” period. Lots of developments coming through but sleep can be wrecked. (Wonder Weeks Theory) also: the eyebrows were like “whoa” but by the end of the video they were more...subdued...
I get my eyebrows tinted too...the technician explains that dye gets on the skin, not just the hairs, and it will fade and wash off from the skin each time you wash your face, softening the look.
He is so precious ❤️I love that he loves books. My son absolutely loved Richard Scarry books at that age. I don’t know if they still print them but the illustrations are amazing and so much detail. And to answer Tim’s toilet paper question- we just opened our last 12 pack that we bought at the beginning of COVID 😳I just had to put it on my shopping list for next week
First, Jen you are beautiful inside and out, but when you said your eyebrows were intense and then you look like Uncle Leo, it really made me laugh! So enjoy watching Jackson grow. I seem to watch your videos after midnight and when you are eating food, I find that I start eating too! Must stop that! Thanks for you sharing your life and adventures with us! Blessings.
As parents we try to teach them as much as we can. Once my son turned 2 I put him in daycare just 2 days out the week. So he could get used to being around other little ones his age. And his vocabulary grew everyday it was amazing. It was rougher for me to be away from him. He loved it. Kids learn so much faster around other kids their age. He learned to share and play. 2 days a week is the best way to “get his feet wet” so to speak.
This happens, they go through so many different stages, eat everything to start with, then all of a sudden, they start saying no to loads of things, then it will change again. It's so tough, you get used to them being one way and all of a sudden they are totally different. He will get through it, sleep will improve again. Love watching Jackson grow and change all the time, he is such a great kid, and you guys are awesome parents, it's a challenge, but it's the best challenge xx
I like it when you do more Orlando area things other than the parks. We moved here about a year ago and we like to see where the other locals go. Keep up the great job.
You guys should check out your local library. They should have a lot of awesome programs for him (storytimes with crafts and dancing). It's such an underrated place to bring kids but they have so many free things for him to do!
My son loved Letter Factory by Leapfrog when he was 1. We would watch that and sing along then get out his wood letter puzzle and sing the song while putting it together. He was having so much fun and learning at the same time. Oh the memories🥰
Great vlog as always. One thing I did when my daughter was little was not let her sleep for so long during the day. They adjust to their needs lol. My daughter was a nightmare, always fighting her sleep. She makes up for it now lol..after her working shifts at the airport. She also wouldn't walk but you could have a conversation with her. So they focus on one thing, he's still only a baby. A very cute one at that. Love you all - Debbie xx
Music and dance really helps with early child development. If you haven’t looked into Kindermusik classes, Jackson might enjoy them. It’s a national program, so I imagine there would be locations in the Orlando area. Y’all are great parents! Thanks for sharing your videos!
It might not be a bad idea to bring Jackson to a kids barbershop. They have special seats for kids and gets them excited for the haircut. Also, you might want to look into getting a twin sized bed for his bedroom and let Jackson pick his own sheets for the bed. I know when i was around his age, i got excited to sleep on my barney sheets. 😀. Maybe buy some finding nemo or cars sheets. I saw that there are finding dory sheets on amazon for twin bed.
Mama of 3 teen boys and 1 adult girl. My boys are all still growing and they still behave much like a toddler when that happens! 😜 Eating us out of house and home AND sleeping like there's no tomorrow! My husband and I really enjoy your vlogs and watching Jackson grow. It is nostalgic for us as we often say "remember that..." When he does something like our babies used to do. Love it! ☝🏼👍🏼😜
Jackson in the car wash amazed me. My son hated the car wash when he was little and would scream if we went through it. It wasn't until he was about 4 or 5 that he outgrew that.
Just wanted to drop in and say hi. I really like your videos. Thanks for taking the time to share your life for everyone to enjoy. Thanks again from NW Missouri.
This is the time of Jackson's life that you will enjoy forever with wonderful memories!!!! ❤ I wish I had videos of my 2 sons as much as you do of Jackson. Unfortunately what we do have is on 8mm tapes! Thanks for sharing so much of your family as well as Disney with us!! Happy Family Vacation! Hope you enjoy it!
Toddler troubles...so normal. My granddaughter was a fabulous eater until she hit about 2 and now at three we pretty much chase her around the room feeding her bites of food because eating is so not needed in her mind.🤗 Everything changes every couple months. But it is so fun to see them growing. Enjoy all your time with Jackson he’s a rock star kid!
Tim, my mom always had a tool kit of some kind in her car or purse and yes she would fix things on vacation. It was just her thing. And Jackson, he's a little sponge soaking it all in and processing it!
Tim is 100% Dad-mode. Reminds me of how much my Dad loved to wash and wax cars. He loved scrubbing his whitewall tires with SOS pads to keep them clean. Once I left my car at his house while I was on a trip. I came home to a washed, waxed, vacuumed, armoralled car with little rugs put over my floor mats 🥰. I did tell him he could do what he wanted with it, meant drive it all he wanted, but I guess I left it open to interpretation. 🤷🏻♀️
Jenn, you are absolutely correct! Prioritizing healthy sleep habits for Jackson has built such a solid foundation for him. It is the most impactful thing you can do for your baby! He is a sharp toddler! I'm sorry he's having some sleep issues right now. That is so hard! Keep up your consistency though and he should be sleeping more soundly again soon. As others have said, it's likely a growth spurt and/or teething at play. P.S. I think your eyebrows look great! (From a fellow blonde with invisible brows!) P.S.S. Jackson would probably LOVE Music Together! It's a great international program and they likely have classes in your area.
