They're $75 at Wally World in Niagara Falls N.Y. I've seen them at one other local store as well for $75 U.S.D. (Runnings) As well as this price being pretty well standardized among online realtors. The current exchange rate is 72/1. You're actually paying $3 less, pre-tax, where we pay 8.75%. In my opinion, it's a reasonable sum to pay & I am unaware of any domestically produced similar competition in form & price.
I managed to get mine a couple of years ago for $20 new in the packaging when I worked for as a volunteer for a thrift store. At the time, it was going for $50-60.
I bought my 119 last week for $104 and change. Canadian Tire store in Alberta. Our Walmart is different than yours. No firearms but one csn buy shotshells & 22 ammo. A smattering of mostly cheap knives.
My 119 came in the mail yesterday. I found one on ebay for $53 including tax and shipping. My local Walmart is down to a handful of long guns and they stopped selling knives completely a while back. They are essentially useless in the guns, knives, and ammo dept. I looked it up and I think any knife is legal in my state as long as it isn't concealed. The only knife legal to conceal off your property is a "pocketknife". However I don't think that law is very stringently enforced. Don't take it to an airport, court house, or concert though (not even a legal "pocketknife"). If my 119 would have been $100 I would have had to think long and hard, but at $50 it was an easy decision.
Yes, it is actually legal to open carry a knife, folding or fixed, of any size. The only regulations apply to switchblades, balisongs and gravity knives, which are illegal. It is however illegal to carry or use a knife with the premeditated notion of self-defense or as a weapon. So it's really only to be used as a tool.
I bought the pro version with better steel and better handle material for over $200. I bought mine directly from Buck, I'm sure there are cheap Chinese copies going around. If you buy a Buck and you can't cut paper with a new knife its probably a fake. I'd never buy it from Amazon or Walmart, its all third party sellers. I only buy cheap stuff from those places, too cheap to make a copy. I wear my 119 every day on my belt at the 4 o'clock position, I'm still trying to get used to snapping the snap one handed behind my back, I find its extremely tricky and will take some time to get quick at it.
None taken. Partially agree. This country does take care of those in need, albeit sometimes too much. With the current powers that be, I'd say Canada is more or less dead at the moment. This country's gone down the drain.
