Today we pay tribute to a famous man from a notable family few may know, but whose products are probably in your kitchen right now! What is more, that product was actually born in Cincinnati, Ohio, which is also the final resting place of today’s subject!
Today we visit the final resting place of Jacob Frank and many members of his family. Jacob Frank, with his brothers and, culinary partner, Adam Estilette are responsible for one of the most ubiquitous products manufactured today, Frank’s RedHot Sauce!
Many assume Frank’s is a tried and true Louisiana sauce and the brand’s official site does not mention Cincinnati, but as Jeff Seuss writes in his 2021 Cincinnati Enquirer article, “… make no mistake, Frank’s RedHot was born and bottled in the Queen City, produced by the Frank Tea and Spice Co., and first put on shelves in 1920…”
And, nearly as famous as Franks RedHot sauce has to be the dish it helped invent, Buffalo Hot Wings. The sauce composition saturating this fan favorite created by Teresa Bellissimo is none other than Frank’s RedHot Sauce and butter. No doubt helping make Frank’s RedHot Sauce America’s number one hot sauce (with one of the most memorable, cheeky slogans of all time - "I Put That $#!t on Everything)!

💘I love hot sauces💘 I go more for FLAVOR than heat. I used to eat Durkee, who bought out Frank's, but then ultimately McCormick's bought out Franks, and French's mustard, but left the names alone. I personally now reach for Crystal hot sauce, just to have for those who do not have that hot sauce palate. I really like the taste of LA cayenne hot sauces🌶 NOT a fan of the taste of Tabasco hot sauce. You the HOT Valentine this year.🔥 Thanks for the grave tours and history🐾🦊🐺 🤗's from Hok'ee

WOW 😳 A very interesting lesson in hot sauce history there. While I'm not a fan of the regular kind of hot sauces like Frank's.... I do appreciate the legacy so much 👍

Awesome video Cashew! I had no idea that Frank's Hot Sauce started so early back. Very interesting. Thank you for sharing your research. I love Frank's and guess I have never tried a whole lot of others. Sorry I missed the chat. I hope I have time to watch the replay. I missed all of you! 💞

Never knew Franks was a Cincy based company. Very cool. I like weird hot sauces and am a sucker for cool marketing. BUT, I always keep at least one bottle of Franks and Tabasco as well as general flavor additives in a lot of stuff I cook.

Crazy I just bought Frank's hot sauce today at grocery store. I'm not sure what hot sauce I like best but this is a favorite lately. I use it to dip my sliced cucumbers in to be healthy lol.

I usually get tabasco sauce ,but I'm pretty sure I've had Frank's somewhere down the line, recently just picked up a store brand called " All Save" very good flavor to me also a bigger bottle at a cheaper price, can't go wrong with that one, could not find "Planet 9 " brand lol
