Lindsey Sergeant's arrangement is second to NONE, just listen to that concert selection ENDING! The clarity, precise and quality sound of the 100s is definetely UNMATCHED!
Another great show!! Monica's Love All Over Me had that same sound when the Hundred played Boyz ii Men's Four Seasons of Loneliness in 1997, which was high quality and awesome. Wonderful high energy dance routine. I noticed that the Marching 100 is just too sexy for our shirts (lol, Right Said Fred song from the early 90s.) Keep up the brilliant work. Stay Safe.
As I said in 2000, ‘I love the 100’, ‘But I know Southern’(I’m from New Orleans) So The 100 has to bring it like that memorable halftime performance in BR, that people remember till this day. They may have to play, Hot Sizzle, ‘ Get Ya Some’
FAMU and Southern have completely different styles. FAMU just needs to continue to be FAMU and Southern should be Southern. At this point those comparisons are really just a matter of opinion.
@@bassclef06 100% in 2020 in Bragg Stadium FAMU clearly won halftime but SU feel like they did better. Whenever SU play someone they only judge the 5th quarter.
FAM created the whole black band culture. Southern has taken a lot of innovative techniques from FAMU. Southern got some nice dancers and they play loud. Dats all. Without FAMU it wouldn’t be a Jukebox, Sonic Boom etc.
@@aaronalmighty1119….I’m not a SU fan like that but I slightly disagree with some of your comment. I saw them in person yesterday and they did more than just “play loud.” They sounded good and had a great field show and sounded great in the stands too…All large bands play loud including FAMU in this Field Show. So that playing Loud argument doesn’t make a lot of sense to me….And sure SU’s old band director got a few ideas from FAMU’s old band director (Mr. Foster) back then well before we were all even born. But I really don’t think that the current FAMU band in 2021 can take full credit for the evolution of HBCU band culture or the direction that the culture is heading today. Nor can you all try to use what happened in 1950’s as It holds some kind of weight in 2021. It had to start somewhere …..But anyway, I actually enjoyed the FAMU field show in this video and I’m actually rooting for y’all against SU this year.
I think one of FAMU's former Band Directors went to SCSU and directed their band, that's why SCSU's Band is called the Marching 101. If I'm wrong, please someone explain it to me.
Ok this has to be said….FLAGS! Y’all can’t be doing 5011 Jsette routines in the stands and get on the field and look a mess. The concert selection …..no mam, no sir. Get it together!
Ugh… I hate to agree because I want them to be like the “dirty dozen” of old🤷🏾♂️ I think they are slightly better this year, but that dancing in the stands is horrible. They just cannot compete with the HBCU dance lines because those young ladies have such beauty and choreography and represent a growing culture within HBCU bands.
