This is the best game to ever come out it teaches you so many things. Also it's relatable to people in their teens because somebody could be going through some of these events right now (besides the rewind power) it's just the perfect game that you can just kick back and enjoy they should make more like this!
+Tiara Uchner No developer will announce some product, if they aren't almost finished with it.^^ But I'm pretty sure they will make a season 2 or at least a very similar game because they know that we wan't it and I think they wan't it too..:D But in the meantime, we can look forward to Vampyr..:D
If you do a season 2, it HAS to be Max and Chloe. NaughtyDog were going to discard what made TLOU great and Neil Druckmann came to the conclusion you could NOT have a TLOU 2 without Ellie and Joel and they made it happen.
A really cool and passionate director. I just watched the developer commentary in game, and I really like the way he openly communicates about the game. There's true passion behind his words.
Please make a season 2. Everyone wants it so bad. Perhaps the adventures of Max after the canon ending and going on in life after the week chaos as she continues using her powers.
+MrIanWG And its like you dont know how to read. ITS NOT CONFIRMED. They "want" to, but theres no confirmation, as of the article: "As of yet, Square Enix has not said whether it plans to publish a second season, and Dontnot has not officially announced a follow-up." I did the "hard work" for you.
I'm really banking on this idea that I have, where the events of Life is Strange come to Rachel Amber in the past, as somewhat of a vision. Then we would play as Rachel in LiS season2 and try to make everything right before LiS, and somehow fix everything so that nobody ends up dying in the end.
OMG I fell for that. :( (Knowing DONTNOD they answered it but uploaded it with that bit cut off just so they could know we don't know what they know. )
All praise to you guys and your powerful beards. I seriously think you're participating at making the video game industry "something more" with games as powerful and unique as LiS.
Ya, and make sure it actually talks about Nathan and everything they cut out about him "the storm is coming your all gonna die" "my dad is coming and when he gets here you are so dead". All this got cut out and it was clearly supposed to be a big thing.
I'm happy for the question they didn't answered in before the storm.. I like it when devs keep some stuffs open for imaginations and let the players assume the story their own way.
One thing I would change: The facial animation. Like seriously, when Max closes her eyes in the first intro credit scene I really was wishing for better graphics. In the end, I became quite fond of the overall style, but the faces still freak me out sometimes. Hella scary stuff.
Using lines from the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is such an amazing idea! I honestly wish Jefferson had more back-story, as there's so much unused audio hinting at his life before Blackwell. I also kind of wish this interview was conducted in French and subtitled, because I'm sure that they would have been able to give even better answers in French. There're tons more questions that could be asked to them, such as why the nightmare sequence was chosen, was Rachel ever scripted to appear, what changes occurred between original scripting and the final product, etc? Did time constraints change the way episode 5 was made? I don't know, I don't care about ships or season 2, I just want more answers haha
I get what you mean - I don't want to feel bad for him, but I think that in episode 5 he became such a cliché, one-dimensional villain that it was so disappointing. The whole "I kidnap girls for art" thing just wasn't a compelling motive imo.
Merci !)
to everyone that reads this comment, id like your opinions: The devs have stressed numerous times already that if Season 2 does come out, it will feature an entirely new cast of characters. What are your opinions on this? Do you welcome the change? Or do you want the same main characters? What do you consider the pros and cons of either outcome?
There's a good reason why they haven't mentioned anything about season 2. They are probably starting work on it and want to keep it a secret for now. It's better that they don't confirm or deny anything at the moment.
Why does nobody ask about the motion capture? The actors still did a pretty hard job doing the right gesture and everything, sometimes even the right expression for some games that use facial motion capture too. And nobody ever talk about them! Plus I'm very curious about how it goes
I'm wondering why they said they wouldn't have add much to the story if they had unlimited resources, because a lot of things about different characters were hinted in the first episodes (like the relationship of chloe - rachel - frank, the secret behind nathans family and pan estates, why max got her superpower, ...), but weren't explained in the end. I love LIS, but I really expected more depth and questions to be answered in the last episodes. Though I'm excited what to come!
+LifeIsStrange listen guys you need to make season 2 but reinvent it in a new exiting way but if you do make sure art style is the same and some new music but still not the same even though me and a lot of other fans want Max and Chloe in 2 but you need to extend their story's and add some new adventures.
+Salad Finger I would opt more for a sequel, prequel we could become a dlc maybe , Rachel XD the important thing that does not change the story in 2 is that it is the sequel to the first. would be nice to follow up with alternative histories according to the choices made in the first, do not you think? ^^
Jejeje I am Laughing about what about season 2 ... Well I am here to tell you something this game is a masterpiece obiously they are going to make a Season 2 but you guys should wait because a game take a long time to script , to texture , to 3d model , to animate , to make the scenes and scenarios for each game and the IDEAS thats what we the developers do , I am not a Expert game dev because I am just an Indie Developer but thats just a thing , other thing its the money to be inverted in all the materials requiered like PC , STUDIOS , Music and the payment of the personal some clues about a season 2 will be this ones : .The games has easter eggs go and enjoy the game dont just buy it and passed in just 5 hours or something you need to played like me and that people who buy it in day one. .This game as sells a lot . . The game as a massive and inpirational story . On E3 2015 Dontnod said that they would like to make a Season two but with new character (That would be dissapointing). DONT BE DESPERATE ------------ You guys should have hope We always have to wait , Now Dontnod is creating a game called Vampyr so if they are going to make LIS 2 they will be developing it a few years later away from now and they will announce the released DATE . -------------- If you DONTNOD saw this comment (PLEASE IF YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE LIS 2 DONT START A NEW CAST THAT WILL BE DISSAPOINTING TO THE FANS AND IT WILL FUCK UP THE GAME ) WE ALL WANT TO BE MAXINE AND WE WANT TO CONFRONT SOMETHING NEW AND COOL AND IF IT IS CHLOE ´¨MY FRIEND YOU WOULD MAKE ME CRY AGAIN¨
+Orlando Rodríguez Question: Do we actually need a sequel? Both "Remember Me" and "Life is Strange" are very unique games and "Vampyr" sounds pretty interesting as well. I'd rather have this studio exploring and expressing their creativity in any way they see fit, instead of just adding incremental numbers on preexisting franchises.
+Lorenz Zahn Well in my opinion this game should have a sequel , why ? because the story of max and chloe is not ended it is incompleted. This is because we have two diferrent endings , the one of chloe dying and saving chloe . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sacrifice Chloe : Mr Jefferson And Nathan gets arrested , thats ok Chloe Dies , thats ok But what about with the relation with Warren and the others like Victoria ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Save Chloe : The city dies , well thats ok in some point if you choose that ending But what happen after Chloe And Max Exit Arcadia Bay ? I mean what about the story that should happen after this events The game as finished in a cliff hangar It doenst explains where Max get his powers and why her. And what happen with all the people on the game on both endings.
***** they made the sacrifice Arcadia bay like that on purpose because they don't want a canon answer as to what happened, a continuation off that ending would ruin it. And for the Sacrifice Max's bae ending, depending on your choices, Max and Chloe will kiss upon leaving, which means if you get that ending, Max must love Chloe, not Warren, and if you didn't get the kiss ending, she probably loves Warren.
I find myself to disagree, that the story ends on a cliff hanger. In my mind, the subject of the story is the transition from adolescence to adulthood. At a key point of her life, Maxine acquires the power to bend time in order to influence action and reaction, but eventually has to learn the importance of moving on and accepting consequences. As far as I can judge, “Life is Strange” managed to close this arc and anything else after this point would just be tucked on and probably feel redundant. *****
There are two possible problems I see here: 1) The 'Sacrifice Chloe' choice, while certainly more emotional than the intellectual 'switch the tracks' type of choice, is also not entirely like the 'push the fat man into the tracks' choice, since Chloe is making the choice herself to be sacrificed, and you are deciding whether or not to do what she asks. The responsibility is somewhat diffused. 2) The community stats for the ending choice are a little suspect, since many players no doubt replayed the last bit just to see what happens in the other ending; it is, after all, the biggest branch of the game. Does the game count both playthroughs into its stats? If just one playthrough, which one - the first or the most recent? If you chose the 'sacrifice Chloe' ending, are you more or less likely to replay the ending than if you chose to sacrifice Arcadia Bay? By how much?
I did try both, as you assumed. And I honestly liked the 'Sacrifice Arcadia Bay' ending a WHOLE lot better, even if I did kiss Chloe before I sacrificed her. :3
Hi, I am a HUGE fan of Life Is Strange and I very short videos that you post, but I'm Brazilian and I don't speak English, so it is difficult to understand the content of the video. I don't know if it's possible, but you could make subtitles in Portuguese?
I think that this interview would've been more interesting if these guys were taking in french and then subtitled in english , that way they would've said their thoughts exactly the way they wanted and with specific words, they are kinda struggling in english. Very nice interview though :)
I hope the second if the first is a proper result, it would be nice a continuous depending on the choices made in the first game. It would be fine new characters, but I hope that the story is just the constant of the first. ps: you will make a DLC on Rachel? XD
zack7134 Yeah i would like the story to continue but not whole new characters just add in some new ones i would love to see max and Chloe growing up or her visiting her parents because i actually want to get to know max's dad and stuff but i actually want to know what actually went down with Rachel but she's already dead it would be weird for people to play as her plus i already knew she was gonna be dead in those 6 months.
+blakesilvermark1 you know, I believe that Samuel knows what happened to him, this thing could be better explained by the developers, if you notice, in the game you understand that Samuel knows something about Rachel... then a fan made a his theory of Rachel and Max
zack7134 Well, i herd that max could be Rachel but i don't think that's a good theory because max and Rachel are two different people with two different personalities anyways i feel that way to about samuel because he said that Rachel was kind of a trouble maker in the game almost everyone said kind of the same thing but i'd love to hear what Rachel sounds like
+blakesilvermark1 But you know, the fact that Samuel know and maybe he knows where not rule it out altogether ... this could explain much better ... maybe Rachel is really hidden in the lighthouse XD
I thought they were going to answer questions that were unanswered in game. Like why get the option to kill Chloe when there's no consequence, or why a main rule to Max's time travel Isn't used the first time she uses it, or what was up with David the whole time... not how they chose the soundtrack.
+Judith Piper the option to kill Chloe is to reflect the end of the game. It was probably a kickstart at first. David was trying to find out the truth the whole time, that last one is obvious.
Hi, I have a question Dontnod Studio will be a sequel to Life is strange to be like what happened with Max and Chloe ? Thank you in advance for your reply :)
