@@SohumDua Very long.... I don't remember exactly when I bought my old wheel, but I guess - when I was moving to Holland in 2009, I already had it. I believe. For very long time, there was absolutely no problem. In last years, I even tweaked the general feel by adding some extra FFB features - using wheel check, linear steering FFB etc. Felt great... But then - first pedals started to cause problems. And like a year ago, they died completely. Since then, I've had a little break. Month ago, I received V3 pedals, so I plugged in G25 wheel with V3 pedals to discover that meanwhile - during this break, the wheel got - somehow - broken too. Forcefeedback has completely died. And without FFB, it is pretty useless. So, now waiting for the new wheel. In general, I was very happy with G25 and I was quite a damn fast with that. If you check databases of world records in sims, many guys on top still use G25.
@ that's almost 11-12 years then. Damn! Makes my decision to buy a G29 much easier.

@@SohumDua Well... I hope you are not running to the shop yep. Let me tell you straight - I would not buy G29 today. At least not if I wasn't really tight with my budget. There is another "player" who is kind of between Logitech and Fanatec and that is Thrustmaster... Check out carefully sortiment by Thrustmaster. I am not their product manager :), I never had any of Thrustmaster myself, but if I did not want to upgrade to Fanatec, I would go for Thrustmaster today.
Talking ab led and speedo, do you know if it’s required to install formatée before it can be used on Xbox? Mine doesn’t show anything on ACC but some options
I like to see joystick is placed on the left side - menu navigation must be more balanced then on Porsche or F1, where you have to navigate and confirm actions all with right hand.
Not sure on the black button option but you can likely wet sand the icons off a couple of the supplied button caps or order another set to experiment with. The tire print and logo is actually just exposed aluminum (it looks white in pics and video but it's not) whereas the black part is anodized so good luck with that. It looks better in person than it does in the videos but it's also way overbranded for my taste and I would have loved a murdered out rally wheel with carbon shifters but not in the cards on this one.
@@larsvolz4316 yeah I thought that about the buttons caps buy didn't know that about the tyre print. Well that sucks and I will pass on this rim then. Thanks for the info.
Fanatic, I have a question. Can you use the csl elite with Xbox? If not then can you Make it? Because I want the csl elite for Xbox as I can’t get a ps4
This steering wheel lets you use ANY Fanatec base (including the CSL) with Xbox. For Xbox compatibility, the important thing is to choose a Xbox steering wheel, the base is irrelevant (can even be a PS4 base)
isthernes is correct. They did make an Xbox-specific CSL for a while but then just consolidated the hardware into the new 2.5 CSL elite which has modes you can scroll through. Just burn this into your brain: Playstation compatibility is dependent on the BASE / Xbox compatibility is based on the WHEEL. If you haven't bought a base yet and you don't have a PlayStation I would recommend just getting a Clubsport base. It's not all that much more and it's a beast. The only thing it can't do is Playstation but it's freakin' nice
Selling all my Tmaster stuff... fanatec here i come. T300>ts xw>. To now a clubsport v2> and this wheel. Should be here soon Extreme upset that i wasn’t able to use some wheels with another base ... that was the final straw ... dropped 800$ on fanatec...... take my hard earned money but be courteous please
Anyone having an issue where the wheelbase isnt detecting the wheel? I tried it with my formula v2 and it worked just fine. But when i plug in the wrc one, it doesnt show up. This is with the clubsport v2.5
@@shelbowski Yea, so you have to uninstall the fanatec software through windows. Then restart. Then install the one from the WRC CSL wheel page. Restart again. then it should in theory work. The only difference i did from when i originally had the issue was that i included the "Restart" after removing the software.
clubsport shifter sq v1.5 which is bloody great, and the hand break clusport v1.5 also, theres a tutorial on how to attach both together as one component, amazing performance, i waited a month for them but going into the fanatec eco system you have to take on board your gonna wait, thats why in the meantime anyone waiting for the order they can map buttons for hand break, its fidgety dont get me wrong as your steering into a hair pin your fumbling for the button but its better than nothing. @@EricAndreu
What if we bought this steering wheel with a CSL DD for Xbox Series X but we don’t have a PC for the setup, what can we do? Is the factory configuration acceptable for first use? Thank you in advance for your answers.
I'm curious when I use my PS4 DD1 with the red and black formula rim on Xbox one X Assetto Corsa competizione, why does it feel weaker and different almost nonexistent and cheap compared to PS4 pro? On ps4 pro my DD1 feels amazing and my V3 pedals rumble too if I want them to. Also how come I can't map any buttons on Xbox One X but on PS4 Pro I could map everything including the radial switches?
@@ertugrulbae46 yes, I’m using the gt dd pro which is a PlayStation compatible base. Xbox gets compatibility from the wheel, PlayStation from the base.
ABS is an assist that is controlled by the sim, it is not directly related to the wheel. It is possible for a sim to reproduce an ABS-triggered vibration through the main force feedback signal, in which case all wheels attached to a force feedback base will give this sensation. If you are referring to separate vibration motors integrated into some of our wheels, this product does not have this feature. If you are referring to the separate Tuning Menu setting formerly named ABS (now called BLI), in which the user can determine when a brake pedal vibration motor is triggered, then yes, this product has direct Tuning Menu access and therefore you can adjust the BLI setting through this wheel.
Okay I am on the fence between buying the BMW replica rim from fanatic and the GT rim with lime green accent the BMW has two vibrating Motors. the GT wheel does not do the two vibrating Motors make that much of a difference to not purchase the GT style Rim which I actually really want. Putting it on a dd1
Already own a p1 wheel, waited to see what the wrc partnership would bring with wheels and this is just a disappointment. Recycled p1 with orange bits and some printing.
wrong. the grip is better, its lighter, the QR is on the back. no need for a fn screw like on the P1. And you can change shifter paddles. Enough reasons?
Who can help me? I play with this wheel on base DD2. Who can help me display & lights don't work on forza & dirt rally 2.0 In fanlab my lights are on but in game I don't see anything :( help
@@fedeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee It comes with alternative 'Racing-Style' button caps. It does not come with PlayStation-type buttons because it's not a PlayStation-licensed product. But you can use it on a PS4 or PS5 system when connected to a PlayStation-licensed wheel base.
@@fedeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee supposedly the xbox home button functions as a PS home button when on PS but that's not been my experience so far. I think you can order PS button caps and fit them but all the buttons (except the Xbox button for me) seem to work perfectly on Playstation. FANATEC, if you're monitoring this thread feel free to weigh in.
