Yes, the customer service will greatly improve and returns will be more timely. Also, limited retail availability will improve on the current system. Overall, a much better experience for users.
I bought my CSL DD, CSL pedals with the load cell separate, i love my DD lol. As for NM, 8 is perfect for me in all honesty. It gives me the detail i need to know whats going on as i drive or race on which ever sim or game that im running. I bought WSRA's LG monitor mount for the DD and Jadlitek inverted pedal tray, and hell yea, i'm super happy with I put together for my entertainment and enthusiasm 😊
i have the 11nm logi pro and im running it in asseto corsa on pc at 35% then tweaked in saim on a car by car basis.. its probably running between 4-6 nm with spikes maybe as high as 8nm.. how ever the level of detail is insaine.. the only issue i have is wanting a gt wheel lol.. apparently october is when we get the announcement of the new logi pro eco system, am a bit envious of eco systems like fanatec but i wouldnt swap my wheel base plus its clearly designed to work on a dest to although im just about to build a rig so that wont matter
Hell yes. I have the DD PRO 8nm and the GT 7 wheel. Changed for the mclaren Gt3 wheel and V2 pedals with load cell. Had these for nearly 2 years and that's all I need. Still loving this setup.
Unfortunately, I can't find a cheaper DD for both PS4 and PC than GT DD PRO. I hope it gets cheaper soon or another company makes a cheaper solution :( For sure T300 is a very good solution but I read that DD is much better than belt.
Regarding the QR2, at least the QR2 Lite wheel side on the CSL DD, IMO worth it (CSL Hub v2 with the 320mm round wheel + McLaren GT3 V2), no flex at all anymore, made the feel of it so much better ❤
I've got this wheel (and a Logi G Pro on a separate rig). Is there much faffing about installing it . I like the wheel (not nearly as much as the Logi, tho), and the loadcell is amazing, but the flex of the DD Pro driveshaft OoB is poor. Great value for money, tho.
I love my csl dd 8nm! Had it since December 23. Had the boost kit for about half that time. I just couldn't find a better deal than the 5nm R2R bundle. The Ali express 180w PSU was only 50aud. That 700aud for 8nm. Most companies charge 100aud per NM basically. The csl DD is better value than the Moza R5 or R9 here, when looking purely at bang for buck. And has a better motor anyway when it comes to fidelity
I'm with you. I got an outstanding deal with the black friday promotion and got my CSL DD , Formula V2.5X and CSL Elite Pedals V2 I think the exact day you got yours. All for less than 600 including tax and shipping. 8nm (AliExpress, nuff said). But even at current prices you really can't go wrong with the Fanatec current bundles. Is it still relevant in 2024? YES If a person is in the market for a setup and is looking at this evidently they don't have a 24nm beast on their desk with a 1200 dollar wheel and pedals seemingly ripped from an actual GT3 race car. They're probably coming from a Logitech G9XX wheel or something in that space. This setup blows anything under it out the water no questions ask, and for that buyer it's more than worth it. It can be your entry into direct drive action or as in my case it can be your complete and more than likely long LONG term setup. Honestly at my age this is probably it.
@@mpmarvin999 yeah that's well said. I came from exactly that, a G29. You got an absolute bargain! I ended up with the P1 wheel (which is OK, it's 300mm and allows for driving of just about anything). I highly recommend the srm emulator, if you're into drifting at all
@@GregoryShtevensh I'm not really into drifting to be honest. Mostly a regular track race guy. That srm emulator looks interesting for a wheel down the line. I do want to get a round wheel. I had planned to get a round wheel first and get a formula/gt wheel later on some time but when I saw they had the Formula V2.5X for $200 on sale (and some other discount in the cart also when added) at the time it was a no-brainer.
-ClubSport Steering Wheel formula V2.5 X -QR1 Wheel-Side -ClubSport Pedals V3 Damper Kit -ClubSport Pedals V3 Brake Performance Kit -ClubSport Pedals V3 CSL DD (8nm) Logitech playseat Trophy This is being sold near me for $1000. Is this worth the price or would I be better of going in another direction with all the stuff going on over at fanatec atm?
i have my csl dd for a year now . I love it, only downside is the crap qr1 lite. I bought qr2 , waiting for delivery now ... Loadcell brake is great addition to the pedal set tbh
yeah the qr1 lite is a piece of shit, Doesnt even hold 8nm torque. my mclaren wheel pin broke from coming loose mid corner and then snapping. My BMW csl wheel is a peice of shit as it flexes so much and the bottom screw keeps on coming out somehow. Ordered the QR2 upgrades and still waiting for that, v3 pedals and the mclaren rim but god knows when fanatec finally decides to ship it
@@Mcfigg yeah i have the hybrid elastomer for the brake. I'm happy with it. Factory rubber are stiff AF man .. I will upgrade clutch/throttle with the kit from racesimengeneeeing later this year
Oh... The QR2 is way better than rhe QR1. I had metal QR1s for both my wheels, and since upgrading to the QR2, I get absolutely no slop, wiggle or noise at the quick release. As solid as I thought my modded QR1s were, the QR2 is many times more solid. Even the QR2 Lite is more solid than the metal QR1.
Thanks for your help was looking for a csl dd gt wheelbase but I only have pa5. It was good to know about just waiting for the moza licensed wheelbase. Thanks for the help
That's a tough one as the PlayStation licensing boosts the cost. You could got for the Fanatec GT DD Pro alternatively you can buy the Moza R5 with the Ras1ution adapter the adapter isn't consistent between games but generally works ok
@@shiv2154 there is the pxn v12 lite and it has pc and xbox support but if you buy the adapter it makes it ps4/5 compatible. I’m considering it and the csl dd but i’m stuck because pxn isn’t well known and past wheels have quality problems but every review i’ve watched on the v12 lite has been positive. I’m also not sure if i can trust the fanatec quality and shipping. I might go fanatec because of upgradablity but idk 🤷♂️
Can't decide between csl dd and r5. My main issue that I'm gonna be clamping wheel to my desk and moza clamp bolts are going be hitting my knees 😅 However r5 I could go and get it right now, it's in my local store but fanatec would have to order directly from them.
Hello, I want to buy a new steering wheel set. I am stuck between only 2 products: Fanatec Podium wheel base DD1 QR2 and Fanatec GRAN TURISMO DD EXTREME. Which one do you think makes more sense?
I don't think the Boost Kit 180 is a scam at all. Both with and without it, the CSL DD/GT DD Pro come out to be almost the exact same price as their Moza counterparts (R9 & R5). The Boost Kit allows people to upgrade from 5Nm of peak torque to 8Nm without having to buy a comlpetely new wheelbase if they want more strength.
I think it is a scam. Why limit the base with a weak power supply to begin with? The worst part is selling the boost kit at $150 US. Don't get me wrong, I love my CSL DD with 8nm. Actually, all my racing gear are from Fanatec (Wheelbase, wheels, pedal, shifter, handbrake) except for the boost kit. I bought mine on Aliexpress for $35 US ($50 CAD) shipping included. I wasn't too sure about it at first but since so many people have used the third party Power supply with no issue at all since 2022, I decided to give it a try. I have mine for over a year myself and it works just like the official one. The official Fanatec one cost $150US + $50 shipping + $40 duty = $240 US ($330 CAD). $50 CAD vs $330? 1/6 of the price. It think it is a scam. Everything I bought from Fanatec always took 4 to 5 weeks to get here in Canada. The boost kit from Aliexpress took only a week.
@@tdmdchannel2339 "Why limit the base with a weak power supply to begin with?" Because it's roughly the same same price as their competitors. Fanatec isn't going to charge less than other companies and lose profit. "The worst part is selling the boost kit at $150 US." The additional cost of the boost kit makes the price of the CSL DD closer (again) to wheelbbases of similar torque strength from other companies. If the cost to get 5Nm was higher, then I would definitely agree with you that the Boost Kit would be a scam. However, because Fanatec is price matching competitors, I see it purely as a way for consumers to upgrade to 8Nm for cheaper (not having to buy a whole other wheelbase & trying to sell their old one).
Either fanatec has lower profit margin on 5nm or high on 8nm, because the power supply is overpriced by a lot. I basically got a free upgrade to 8nm, so didn't care but charging 150 is still a scam.
Can you help me ? I'm starting with sim racing and i thought about buying t300rs/csl dd/moza r5 but i think that getting moza in poland is not worth it + fanatec is cheaper . What should i buy ?
Hi, also from Poland, bought CSL DD at the end of April, today it was sent. Unfortunately it is much cheaper solution in Poland, so with my budget I didn't even bother with Moza and went with Fanatec. Bought also original Fanatec Boost Kit on olx for half the price on Fanatec site and still it is cheaper and more nm than Moza.
I'm still on the fence getting the mclaren gt wheel. Seems more like a toy. The bmw is just too expensive too. Considering a custom made carbon gt wheel that can fit a podium button module or a clubsport universal hub made by mzw.
@@lorenzobelli4840 So no need to check lock cell pedals or elite V2 if I do not get chair without wheels. Which will never happen, so I guess they are not for me.
Ive been very on the fence between this and the GPRO. I eneed up convincing myself not the spend the extra cash since 8nm should be more than plenty. Ordered gtdd pro yesterday and i cant stop hoping i didnt make the wrong choice. Im sure all will change when i plug it up though
@@zbigniewiksinski I’m glad I’m not the only one back in the comment section after the news. The gtdd package has been amazing. I had 0 issues with shipping. Only took a couple days. Even when i got a seperate clutch and faceplates. It provides enough force feedback to really feel some of the minor details that help you be faster. I’ve enjoyed it so much was about to spend more money on upgraded pedals and wheel. Idk what to do now haha.. i would have reccomended the gtdd purchase prior 100% though.
@@Frost-ux8jx thanks for the reply. how's that connecting mechanism works? been reading that people have problem with that and are buying qr2 for another 200eu which looks absurd in already 700eu wheel. damn i wanna pc and ps5 support and it looked like perfect option but from what it looks it could be dead company with no support and seems that people have many problems with that. i might buy dd pro and then moza will announce ps5 compatiblity in few months lol
@@zbigniewiksinski that’s what I would be weary about is Moza announcing a PS wheel. I’d say the Logitech Pro is an amazing option but even originally I never thought I’d want an ecosystem, but now I do so I wouldn’t lock myself into a wheel with no ecosystem either. I’ve had zero issues with the connection, no feedback loss, no weird noises. 0 hacks to make it work better. That being said i do still plan to upgrade to qr2 if/when i purchase the mclaren v2 wheel
@@Frost-ux8jx yeah but with base wheel the base mechanism is ok? i don't get spending another 100.or 200 for connecting mechanism, seems bullshit business move to me. and logi is smth like 2.5x price with pedals lol
@@GeekStreet Even for Xbox, it's Fanatec. Moza R3 bundle is still not available no where. Fanatec has mutliple wheel with Xbox compatibility already available (WRC, GT3, Universal Hub V2)
