Huh I didn't know Cailee before but she is really close to how I always imagined Vin!

It has nothing to do with fancasting, but there are two images of The Lord Ruler that have stuck with me. One is a black & white image by Ben McSweeney. You should be able to find it in the Rashek gallery on the Coppermind. The nonchalant yet threatening expression as spears stick out of him... Picturesque. Literally(?). The other is an AI image I found on RU-vid. I seem to have lost the video, but what I remember was an uncomfortably apt resemblance to classic Superman.

I believe Philip Froissant would be the perfect cast for Elend. I saw him in a show on Netflix called the Empress, he played the young emperor Franz Joseph, and he looked just like how I imagined Elend too look.

I personally think that the Stormlight Archive would make a KILLER animated series. But if they did a live action i would be so down for these picks.👌

Some of the best fancastings I've seen! Hadn't ever considered some of these options but your picks for Dalinar, Szeth, Vin, Kelsier, Vasher, Siri and Vivenna could work really well. Personally not sure about Dev Patel and Kumail though. They definitely have the right vibe and acting skill to fit those characters perfectly but visually speaking they're not super accurate. Canonically, Kaladin should look more east asian/polynesian rather than south asian and Herdazians are somewhat inspired by hispanic cultures so I've always imagined someone with that ethnicity as Lopen. Shallan should also have some asian features but I imagine that might be up for debate in a real life casting scenario so Sadie would be perfect in that case (even age wise, Shallan is 17 in WoK).

I'd like to see David Tenantt as Hoid more than the sword, for the sword maybe mark hamill or jack black

Also dev Patel is genius casting in the green knight he played such a great morally complex character

Isn't Vivena supposed to be black, though? At least according to the US cover art for Warbreaker.

Great choices all around but the only acceptable Vasher is Mads Mikkelson. Ken Watanabe as Dalinar I had not considered but I would actually love him. Don't see Danny Pudi as Sazed at all though haha.

Alethi are not described as the actors you choose at all. Yes, they are supposed to look Asian , but from middle east/south west Asia not east Asia. Only Dev Patel as Kaladin was a good match.

Ok, usually any fan casting I see of the cosmere is absolutely horrendous and filled with either A listers or the GOT cast, but this was really great! A lot of very specific, subtle choices that I can really believe. Although I think the SA cast would have to be new people, and remember that Shallan isn't white! Keep up the good work!!
