Starlight's mother thinks her daughter owes everything to her and whats to be recognized by everybody, using her daughter as a product and not an actual person. Hughie's father wants his son to act like the death of his girlfriend never happened at all, so he tells hughie to accept the check the government gave him and forget the situation. There's many examples, just pay attention to the show, like some of the reactors lmao
