😎The BEST way to start off Friend Jambo , with a 😍Redhead like Natasha ; I'm dismayed that Legs-her-domain Zatanna was replaced instead of replacing Fighting Yank. 4 ⭐Spectacular was an enjoyable run , I have that enjoyable issue. Star Fire is a series I still have to finish , I got most of the run. The Creature and Julia Adams , the inspiration for JAWS opening scene! Our Jaws and the 1970s film!
Thank you Anthony my friend . Yes I knew you would dig that team up with the widow lol. The creature was my second favorite monster when I was a kid . Now he is my second favorite character in that movie now that I’m older lol. Thank you for watching my friend
Great haul Jambo! I’m trying to catch up on everyone’s vids and thought I’d start here. Nice $1 bin pick ups! Loved everything you showed..😍 especially that Dr. Strange with the Man-Thing crossover . And a big fan of that Starfire series as well. Congrats on completing that one! ( and yes, a big fan of her costume as well 😁) Take care brother!
Hard to believe some of those came out of the dollar bins (or $2 dollar bins)! I think your dollar bins are a lot better than those in my neck of the woods!
The Dr strange didn’t come out of the dollar bin . I think the DrStrange 4 was six bucks the other two was about 2 bucks . Really appreciate you watching my friend
Hello Jambo. Very cool books, especially Dr. Strange#4 cover & Starfire#2 very cool Pterodactyl eye beem cover, I like Pterodactyl covers. Speaking of Starfire there's an old band with the name Starfires, with a great music video called Linda you can find it on RU-vid. Very cool Julie Adams signed Creature photo, that's a scene you don't see often.
Ah thank you my friend. That cover to Doc Strange 4 is one of my favorites. Had to go back and look for the flying dinosaur on the starfire lol . Mrs Adams was a beauty for sure . Appreciate you watching sir
Nice comics mate, I am trying to get that run of Starfire myself right now. I think the creature is sometimes called the gill man!! Enjoy your new comics
Well after the company switched from Atlas back to marvel in 1968 Goodman sold the company to a chemical company. So they added the Group to Marvel I think that is when Stan took over . Thank you for watching my friend and I hope I answered your question
Great bunch of comics Jambo! Gotta grab those late bronze age Marvels when you can as it seems they are really starting to dry up in the wild. Lots of DCs everywhere but some Marvel titles from the 70's to early 80's are getting harder to find and much pricier. Cool Creature! That new Universal Monsters Creature From the Black Lagoon Lives series is pretty good if you haven't checked it out yet.
I really liked that #4 Dr. Strange cover. Looking at cover, I had a question pop into my head. Why does it say, Marvel Comics Group along the top? I seen this before, of course, but never really thought about it. Was that the official name of the company back then? Had they acquired another company/s to get that name? Or was it for some other reason? Thank you in advance. I enjoy watching your comic hauls. I picked up a cool comic book of my own yesterday, Secret Wars # 4, where Hulk is holding up an entire mountain from crushing himself and all the heroes around him. Just one of many of Hulk's amazing feats over the years. :)
