Yeah I think pedro will be great (be interesting to see if they go beard or no beard and if they do grey streaks) but yeah agree John would have been amazing although he doesn’t seem like he wants to be tied down to a cinematic universe so if he was mr fantastic we might not have gotten many appearances compared to Pedro who has already shown some amount of commitment to more long term projects like mando and TLOU
@@blistow3519 yeah your right I would love to see what the make him look like personally I want white streaks and a beard and I think John just wants to be able to do his own stuff when he can instead of being mr fantastic a lot because he also wants to be known for more. That's just my opinion but I could be very wrong lol. Still happy with Pedro casting nevertheless.
@@ARES-ue3yt honestly doesn’t bother me if the acting is good and feels like the character that all I need personally. Like I get the want for comic accurate characters but we have seen diversity for the sake of diversity has taken over Hollywood and movies, so I’ve just accepted it’s gonna happen. And am just happy when we get a diverse pick because that actor is best for the character over just getting a actor of a group or sexuality just to feel a tick box. (Like for example fan4stic (yes I know bad movie) but Michael B Jordan was a good human torch (just not great writing) like I feel he was hired because he was great for the role not just because he’s black and they wanted diversity. Maybe it’s just me but when they do it like that I don’t mind but when it’s done for literally no reason just to make people online not complaining it feels negative to the movie/project)
They should have kept Krasinski but Pedro is a very good actor, he’s been in basically everything mainstream lately so I kinda wasn’t surprised he ended up being casted as Mr Fantastic
Now that I’m thinking about it because that first picture reminded me of him, Timothy Olyphant would be a BRILLIANT Mr. Fantastic. That would be perfect.
In my opinion the only person who looked like they suit the role they are playing is Eddie from Stranger Things as Jonny. The rest of the casting is just star power.
Joseph Quinn was a good casting hes quippy which is perfect for Johnny storm , I can understand the looks may not be on point but I say at least give it a shot
Personally i’m not looking for actors who look exactly like the character just because they look like the actor doesn’t mean they’re gonna fit in the role perfectly as for Joseph Quin as Johnny I’m OK with it i’m not gonna lose my marbles because they cast someone from Stranger Things into the movies Joseph could totally play the rebellious younger brother
I love Pedro but I kinda wanted someone like Joel McHale to play Reed, yeah he's a bit older but I just see him as a mature Reed Richards. For Human Torch, Dacre Montgomery is the obcious choice idk why they overlooked him
My problem with y’all saying Pedro doesn’t look like reed Richards is that neither does John Krasinski. Reed Richards only started to look like John cuz the comic artist heard the fan casts and liked the idea. Reed Richard has looked different in Damn near every single new iteration he has been in LMAO he has no set look besides gray hair on the side of his head
I don’t think you can have an opinion if you’re gonna refer to the actor as “cousin from the bear” he’s accomplished in other things, better to have good actors rather than people who just look like the characters
Im going to wait for the movie to come out before hating on it. I talked a lot of shit about Robert Pattinson being Batman, and now hes one of my favorites...
I agree, pascal gets way too many roles right now, and his age is a factor considering if they want multiple movies out of him, same goes for the torch casting, never heard of him or seen him in anything and just doesn't look like a good choice.
Listen I'll say this again I'm excited for Pedro play Mr fantastic because he's typecast as cool guy who can fight Joel the mandalorian whiskey I'm happy he's been put in a role where he's the smartest person in the room I'm excited
Why does she need to look like Mr. Fantastic bro? The story is going to be great. Who cares? It matter if it looks of the character was important to the overall story but it's not. It's literally relevant so just hire the best guy
John also is trying to work on the A Quiet Place franchise which he is the main man who made them. So he's busy with those films which I like so I'm happy.
frankly, i’m glad. i just don’t think he was a really good fit for reed. idk ab pedro tho. he’s a good actor, and sure he doesn’t look like the traditional reed richard’s, but they most likely chose him for good reason
Krasinski was always pretty vocal about not wanting to be cast as a major character - he didn't want a long-term commitment. He only agreed to the cameo because it was a one-and-done. Great casting all-round
They just kinda ruined the character in that movie tho. The smartest man in the world laid out his plans to one of the most powerful meta humans in the world.
@@mommagnentThat's understandable because they underestimated her due to her not being their Wanda. The real thing that ruined Reed was him stretching his arms out at her immediately after seeing her brutally kill Black Bolt.
@@matthewk4912 that whole scene was a disaster but a Wanda covered in blood? Even if it wasn’t, what tactician just gives out their plan. I mean he was in the room with strange when he explained everything as well.
Everybody said the same thing about EVERY live-action Batman casting and even Heath Ledger's Joker casting.. Same ppl were complaining about an unknown Broadway musical actor getting the part of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman).
I think that Pedro is going to surprise everyone and be fantastic in the role. To be honest everything he is in, He brings charisma and sets the bar for the other cast members him
I feel like the only people who are gonna love him is you guys who are already optimistic and when it comes out you’re gonna say “SEE, SEE” and the rest of us are still gonna unimpressed but you’re gonna act like everyone loved him
People still complain about casting? I thought we were done with that lol. Everyone complained about heath ledger as joker, now hes iconic. Everyone complained about RDJ as Tony Stark. Now hes iconic. Everyone complained about Michael Keaton as batman. Now hes iconic Just shut the fuck up and let them cook
Heath ledger is the only one people loved. Those rest aren’t valid and based on opinion and you using an example from over 15 years ago isn’t a good enough reason not to criticize a casting
@@Chasing_santino tf you mean heath ledger is the only one people loved? Are you living under a rock? Everyone loves RDJ tony stark and everyone loves Michael Keaton Batman
Everyone said he wouldn't be a good Joel but he got a Emmy nomination for it and definitely almost won it. Imma keep my hopes that he'll be a good Reed
@@mysticblaze4088 I saw people criticizing him not being Joel's ethnicity as well as people assuming he didn't have the chops to play the character cuz Mandolorian and such being all they'd seen of him. He basically got the opposite of Oscar Isaac treatment, but you're right people were super critical and unsure of Bella
"This actor became very popular by doing a great job in a role in a very popular TV show. Now he's getting more work? How does that make sense?" Are you seriously that dumb?
He was really good in ST though. I like the series (but I do not associate with the fanbase they're something else) and he was a highlight dispite not having a ton of screen time.
honestly i'm alright with the Pedro Pascal casting. Yes, there are better fits for him but considering the guy who played him in Multiverse of Madness got obliterated in like two seconds by Wanda Maximoff most people would probably have a hard time seeing him as a powerful character anymore if they kept the same actor.
First Borderlands now this. They don't give a DAMN anymore. And if they mess this up you know how long it's going to be till we get another fantastic four movie? A long ass time.
Johnny needs to have that cool factor, especially after seeing Elvis & the upcoming Bikeriders, he’s definitely a great choice. Also while we’re at it, I think Tom Hardy would make a great Wolverine (for a new iteration)
Buggin this cast is phenomenal. Bro you Latino and worried about Pedro not looking the role. Oscar Isaac played a white Jewish character a.k.a marc Spector
No shot dude, Pedro’s going to be a highlight of a stellar cast. Given the “so close” hollow promises of F4 past, this is the most promising yet and has the production studio to back it up. With any luck Reynolds will end up with executive producer credits on all Marvel properties and have valuable input in the writers rooms. Sure, perhaps an educated wish; but I’m sure I’m not the only one making it?!
Pedro Pascal is a great actor. Honestly I don't think it matters he's not a perfect fit because he rocks in every role I've seen him in and the teaser trailer looked Fantastic.
Seems like people just forget that actors whether big or small have to audition for these roles, like why do people just think they choose them bc their famous and upcoming, it’s obvious that they auditioned and they had the best takes
Because people like this wannabe creator and many of the people in the comments don’t want to deal with the reality that the casting is the way it is. Instead of doing the big boy thing and dealing with it, keeping an open mind until the movie comes out they’d rather just complain to cope. It is pathetic I know.
@@cacti4324 exactly like people se to not want to learn with their mistakes, like people didn’t like a Robert Downey Jr, Robert Pattinson when they got cast, but then ended up loving them, like people really need to start realizing that actors are actors and can adapt for the role 🤦🏾♂️ finally talking to someone with some common sense
Sorry, but Reed Richard isnt a goody two shoe hero like Cap or even Thor. He’s flawed, sometimes over-ambitious, and over-confident. i don’t think kranski is able to pull something off like that while Pedro Pascal can and has shown off he can do it in past roles. Even if he doesn’t resemble Reed in appearance, it’s a way better choice than Kranski
True, this fanbase nowadays is filled with fake comic book fans who just pretends to know everything about the comics where in reality all they saw are few pictures of the comic book iteration of the characters. I'm kinda annoyed with the fanbase.
@@tusharrajkonwar2378 yea and so obvious because you ask basic questions and these people are lost I will never forget I was talking about reed and this one dude actually said "reed is a wholesome superhero nerd who just a really good guy like an older Peter Parker " What fu-cking Reed Richard is that reed is literally in sane and just as much of an ego maniac as dr doom hell he and Tony gets alone because they are both a-sshole
