Thanks so much Z! Yes I specifically visited at this time for Spring green in the region and knowing the mountain would still have a nice snow cap. As Summer goes on it loses almost all of its snow some years.

This was right in the middle of Covid when this train was 3 times a week and as short as its ever been.

With that in mind; I honestly don't see too many of them rivaling the sheer awe of Shasta. That volcano has always, and will forever be my favorite of all on the volcanic range. It's just too majestic and RIGHT THERE to ignore when going through the region. GREAT videography, as always...and in particular on the ground, in this scene. I can't wait to see the entire series!

That's a great idea Mike and thanks so much yes I never get tired of that view of it being right there in your face so close! It was a pretty gnarly road to get to that spot for the ground shot but that is like THE shot to get in my opinion.

Hey thanks so much! This line gets about 12 or so in a 24 hour period. I caught 8 this day including 1 Amtrak and even missed 1 so there were 9 during the day which is a super good day!
