Fantasy Booking... The RETIREMENT Of The Hardys! | Tempest vs Sullivan Beau Brown 

I’m still mentally recovering from nwo nexus, I appreciate a much more grounded episode of booking, I’m still listening to Sullivan so this could age well.

This might be the best booked episode of Fantasy Booking so far, both Tempest and Sully delivered on the assignment imho

Sully truly has the perfect amount of Wrestling experience to be the next WWE head creative

It’s a small thing, but Stokely Hathaway calling himself Chuck Taylor is such a niche throwback that I love.

Both of those special boys are the winner here. They understood the assignment perfectly. The only way to retire the Hardys is with the Dudleys and Edge&Christian.

I think the one frustrating thing with the critique from the judges has been, at times, their view on the amount storybeats or moments taking place in a single segment. For Luke, they were absolutely justified to tear that apart. But Sullivan’s moment of Edge returning to join Christian to beat down Matt leading to Jeff making the save and then reuniting, that was class and if THAT was too much happening at once, I find that a little silly.

The pitches were both very solid, but the thing I love most about this episode is the two lovely gentlemen sharing their respect for each other's booking.

This competition was an embarrassment of riches. Well done to both of you, while there was a winner, there was no loser in this matchup.

It was tough seeing the last episode and seeing who the judges eventually went with, so it was such a palate cleanser to have this wholesome episode between two very different bookers who showed they're not quite so different when it mattered. I personally would vote for Sullivan, and I'm glad the judges made the call they did. EDIT: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SULLIVAN!

I liked Sully's better. Tempest's was a little like Luke's from last week where it relied too much on stuff from other companies. Sullivan's had more emotion and contemporary storytelling, in my opinion.

These were definitely the best bookings so far good job to both. Much better then Luke’s nonsense last week.

I really liked Tempest, even in fantasy, would not compromise his belief to put wrestlers health first.

This has become my favorite Fantasy Booking Warfare video. I enjoyed both storytelling from Tempest and Sullivan, and wished that they advanced at the same time. 😁 Oku said it best in his final verdict.

I would have given Sullivan the W this time around, but both were quite good.

FINALLY a non-crap round!! Honestly, I feel like these two should have been split apart further, knowing they'd be among the best. Tempest for his wrestling savvy, and Sully for his storytelling and heart/wit. Great round tho!

One thing I'd add to their final match. Jim Ross on commentary. I know he's not what he used to be, and he doesn't need to lead it, but one last call from Jim, as Jeff climbs the ladder saying "Climb the ladder, kid! Make yourself immortal!"

Two of them voted for Luke's "New N.W.O. Nexus vs D-Volution Kliq" but then criticized these two for leaning on nostalgia. But then criticized them for not going far enough with it.

If I had one issue and this is just a personal thing but I feel like Tempest missed an opportunity by not having the Broken Hardys face off with the House of Black in one of those crazy cinematic matches at the Hardy Compound.

I'm still shocked that none of these people haven't been hired by any company yet.

This is the best match of the tournament so far, touché to both.

I have been seeing some type of pattern in the first rounds (haven't watched this yet). Linear storytelling vs CHAOS. I'm most excited for this matchup! Edit: well, would you look at that. I expected some chaos, but damn both were compelling. The winner deserves it, but the loser was definitely close to have won, if only with a different opponent! (had to be vague to avoid spoilers)

Dang!!! Tempest was attacked. I feel so bad for the man.

Totally get why this was a hard one for them to decide. I also loved how both Tempest and Sully loved each others to the point they would have gone with the other's, love to see that. Personally think I would have gone with Sully's from a story perspective but I also get why Tempest won.

Man i got a little emotional when tempest was building up the tag team triple threat. I am a mark for those 3 teams Edit: then sully hits hard with that speech from jeff to matt and also bringing back tlc 3

Sully's didn't need the title, he'd already given the stipulation. It would be 2 contracts above the ring so the one team could carry on

Heading into this I expected Tempest to have a better fantasy booking than Sully as Tempest always seemed like a hardcore fan while Sully seemed like a causal. Without spoiling who won I loved Sully booking & as someone who got into wrestling because of Matt & Jeff Hardy I think his story is how I'd like them to end there careers

This was great. While there was a lot of nostalgia hits in Tempest’s booking, I respect that everyone brought in has shown they can still go (sans the Dudleys, but come on, there is no other acceptable finale).

Its so weird to say that stories which included The Hardyz facing dark versions of themselves and 6 men who probably shouldn't be in a tlc match being in a tlc match, are both way more groudned then anything that Luke thought up of last week.

The more the video went on, the less i could have picked between the both of them. This felt like an early finale, and Tempest will be the man to beat to win the whole thing.

Broken Matt was my favourite thing in wrestling during that first run so I couldn't bare to see the hardys go out without the broken universe returning. I went with tempest too.

Sully's had more emotion to it and I had a hard time keeping up with Tempests. Def a Sully W in my book.

Dude this felt like a final stage that come too early,love both of the storyline they presented,well done.

I like Sullivan's story better but yeah sure whatever 'cause at least they both showed me how better bookers they are than the main crew.

Yeah this round was actually quite HARD, Sullivan surprised the heck out of me, but in the end I also like more the story callbacks Tempest put in his, and both stories are quite good.

Two episodes in a row showing off just how long ago these were recorded. The last episode booked Edge in WWE, despite him being in AEW now, this one booked CM Punk in AEW, which, while less impossible, probably won't happen again.

This was truly a hard decision. And kudos to Sullivan for telling a compelling story. I almost want to see Sully be put in a wildcard booking situation against Luke or Oli's bonkers storytelling to take one of their spots.

This truly is the best one yet. Both were great stories with great elements. These 2 should have a go at how xx would book since that's lacking a host now.

Them saying that the Hardys reunite and Edge and Christian come back on the same show is to much, let's keep this in mind that AEW bought Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson to the company on the same night.

Tempest and Sullivan did great in this one, but If I HAD to pick one of the two.... Sullivan had the Best Storyline(but it WAS overbooked imho).

Judging almost didn't matter here. This was a coin flip. Both bookings were amazing. They had their different upsides and they were honestly great to see. Two of the strongest minds for making some real emotional moments from this too. Just fantastic. Tempest and Sullivan should both be really proud. Judging aside, I've enjoyed all of the bookings in this series, even when they're outlandish, but these two have been absolutely SOLID.

IMO it's almost a tie but I give the win to Tempest because he brought back the Broken Universe. The only thing I would change is CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy be a TLC match. Also Sullivan arguably had a more interesting storyline, however not having a match where the Hardy Brothers faces off before reuniting like The Rhodes Brothers at All In 2018 is why I vote against him.

Terrible formatting to have Tempest vs. Sullivan in Round 1. To have someone who understands wrestling dichotomy like Tempest against the best story teller on the channel in Sullivan in round one feels wasted. Both of these were better than Luke's and probably Oli's too imo

I feel like this is the real final. I feel like the judging has improved over the weeks

I love how all three teams that created the tlc stipulation are all different versions of the meaning of brother: 3dge and Christians are childhood best friends who became brothers through wrestling both in wrestling and in shoot. The Dudley brothers story is largely in-universe as they are adoptive brothers in storyline but grew to also be brothers in real life. And Hardy are actual real brothers who stayed bonded as brothers through wrestling. Love how wrestling strengthens bonds.

By far the two best pitches so far. I would have choosen Sullivan.

Just finished the episode both were great I did enjoy tempest more but Sullivan kinda went in the direction I wanted would have gone. Definitely would have books the brother vrs brother in a multiple versions of the brothers best out of 7 type of deal and because you can’t do this with out the tlc match at the end of the best of seven both men battered after week after week of 5 star matches edge and Christian have the titles comes out and says we want one more match with the both of you at all in, they accept and at all in both teams are set but before the bell rings DEVON GET THE TABELS!!!! out comes the Dudley boys tables in hands dragging them down to the ring, Tony khan comes over the titon tron no commercial this match will continue until we have a winner! These three have the best match super beating the original tlc, edge and Jeff recreate the spear spot. All men are tired and broken, Christian is left to climb the ladder but is destructed by a drone that comes in with a water bottle filled with the fountain of youth water, both mat and Jeff are REJUVENATED. they climb in the ring ready to beat down christen but they didn’t see where the bottle went and edge has drunken the water and is now brood edge he tosses the bottle to Christian who jumps down gangril apppears in the crowd. They go on to have a fantastic 5 minutes before the Dudley boys are back in the match confused as to what has happened. All six men begin to brawl, as the match goes on for 10 more minutes it is mat who is able to climb the latter and grab the title and hand to brother Nero the other. The next are dynamite the Hardy’s come out broken and battered front the months they have gone through. They take off the boots and vacate the titles.

This was the best round by far and it really could've gone either way. Both guys did an excellent job and they were both good sports about it, too. They took different pathways to the same result, which was cool. I liked Tenpest's booking a lot, but Sully's delivery was engrossing and his booking had more emotional depth to it, so I would've given it to him. It's a shame that these guys had to be in the same bracket.

This was fuckin fantastic. Either would’ve been good to move on to the next round.

so the only reason i say Tempest for this one is because it has Broken Hardys which is my favourite hardys era. Also Tempest why isnt the E and C Dudley boyz and Hardys a TLC match?

I like Sullivan's booking a little more, but instead of Edge and Christian getting the win I'd change the outcome. As long as it's within a time they're ready to retire...I'd have the Hardy's do the same spot at the end, but Jeff recovers and gets the title belts. Then on the next televised AEW show, I'd have them celebrate the memories made with the Dudley Boys/Edge and Christian in the ring and relinquish the tag belts. Saying to the fans it was the perfect way to close all their careers by retiring along side their good friends and best rivals. Bookmarking a close to a chapter of wrestlings peak that we all were fortunate enough to grow up with. Chef's kiss.
