Hello Shane Your videos are very well done! Congratulations :) Their presence reassures me because I am embarking on this adventure. (I'm a young Swiss guy who doesn't like to be bored in the evening and who wants to realize these different machining projects in his free time. I had a good training in this job 3 years ago. We call that a "CFC". It is 4 year to learn to learn the job of machinist ) Now I bought a "Supermax Fanuc 0m" milling machine and I have just finished its installation in the small workshop that I made at home. (apparently everything went well :) (nothing is broken I think)) I've already created programs on Fusion 360 (and I just bought an rs 232 25 pin cable). But now I'm faced with the next things I still have to learn: - How to do the transfer properly. - How to set the offset of my tools. - Take the zero points of my piece. - And probably a few other things... I have a small question: If in the future I have a comprehension problem with one of the things I listed above, can I talk to you about it and see if you can help me? Thanks already for your videos I hope soon to be able to machine and make a RU-vid video and be able to thank you in it. Have a nice day Yannick
Thanks. Most of you next steps you can find in my videos especially the VMC journey playlist. As always if you get stuck on something just drop a comment and I'll do my best to answer it. I have one more video on the VMC for the immediate future before I switch topics they may help if you get into a fanuc alarm that you can't reset.
@@ShaneBurrell1 Thank you for your response. I will keep you informed. Once your DNC is in ready mode (Ready to send). Machine just needs to be in tape mode and hit cycle start. I show how to get the dnc into that mode and have another video on the Titan DNC that shows it beginning to end with that particular DNC.
@@ShaneBurrell1 Hello thanks for your usefull video,we have a fanuc om but it dosen't have tape or dnc mode on panel how can make it drip feed? It has only auto mode
hello shane have you ever ran a program by drip feeding. i cant get my fanuc to run drip feed, when i press cycle start the button lights up and LSK is flashing nothing happens
Yes. That's normally how I run programs. Be sure your serial handshake is working and your cable is good. Normally that is is the issue if it won't start the drip feed.
Hello shane Deeply appreciated what you are doing. Keep it up I'm using this same controller, I'm using this machine in auto mode with the help of Dnc through pendrive, it works fine but problem arises when my program line comes at N9999, at N10000 machines stops and show p/s alarm 003 Please help me how I can run the long programs usually having around 50000 lines Please help me I will be very thankful to you
Cool, thanks. I remove line numbers completely in post processor for long programs. If you are using fusion 360 it's pretty easy to do. Line numbers don't mean much when in tape mode.
@@ShaneBurrell1 will you send me the post processor of fusion 360 not having number lines, at my email karanbirsingh1992@gmail.com I be very thankful to you
