Far Cry 2: Redux (Mod) - Gameplay 4K60p 

No, thank you for making this mod, it really does add to the game, I was skeptical at first, but it turned out to be the best Far Cry 2 playthrough I've had so far, the stealth is vastly improved which was a big issue for me in the vanilla game and actually killing them with a few bullets, at the trade-off of getting more damage, seems perfect, much more enjoyable. However, I'm not sure if this was on purpose? But I find the AI using automatic shotguns super overpowered, they can mow you down in a matter of 1 to 2 seconds sometimes, it seems not intentional but, it is an automatic shotgun, so I'm not sure. xb Also I appreciate you going out of your way and checking on people that used your mod, very commendable, I appreciate that. @@arwlyx Makes perfect sense! I went back and forth on the loadouts. In the end, I decided to remove the MGL but leave the USAS. It's meant to keep the player on their toes as they never know what weapons to expect. It _is_ quite a challenge to fight against them, but they are not as common as the other shotguns. This also makes scouting enemies more important! I'm thinking of sharing footage like this of different users playing the mod with different releases (Russian Steam, English GOG, Uplay, etc.). If I do, would it be alright to link this footage on the mod db page?

@@HunterTinsley we have trouble. Your mod just doesn't work on Russian version of the game. Check it twice. On English everything is fine.

For people acquainted with the map like myself, I can agree, I mean, I played through the game with this mod just fine, but for newcomers or people looking for a more casual playthrough, it can affect the gameplay quality. I did like playing without it though, it gave me more immersion.

I'm the same. FC2 had a 'je ne sais quoi' that just draws me in unlike its successors. The atmosphere and music is by far the best. But some of the game mechanics are frustrating. The vehicle damage. The constantly respawning outposts. Not to mention malaria...

The enemies do carry FALs in the first half of the game. You just cant get them from the shop.

Hello! There could be mods for this purpose, or maybe even a way to do it with cheat engine. Search for "Far Cry 2 Trainer" on Google and see if you can find a cheat menu that does this, alternatively you can just upgrade the fixing speed on the in game store with diamonds. Disclaimer: I have not done this before so I am just making suggestions.

Make sure you're playing the newest version. I removed that nasty blue rim lighting a while back...

Well, technically this does bring in missions to the game if you didn't do the Jackal tapes. They're not amazing missions but something to do. Outside of that, I haven't really played around with other mods. Maybe someone else can come in and help.

@@arwlyx Thanks, i like doing the Jackal's tapes, saddly ibhabe a bug that don't let me go through all the audios, i always get stuck at thw boy and 12 gauge lol i know is very common.

@@antoniocenteno1483 There are no mission mods, unfortunately. I think they really made a mistake by leaving out single player options from the mission editor. Imagine FC2 with the "arcade" from 5!

I play without the arrow for an emmersive playtrough.

Hello! No, the Redux is a gameplay tweak, adds missions that can only be unlocked via some secret codes natively and tweaks the player's health, AI health and the stealth system. Sorry for the late reply boys, I've been kind of out of it. :b The only visual tweaks were added by me, extra saturation using Reshade.

@@niconachozstudio1952 Did you get it working? Just drag the patch.dat and patch.fat to your data folder (backup your existing files). Copy the MF Launcher to your bin folder. Run via the launcher. Make sure to tick the necessary boxes.

I mean, that's kinda highly subjective, I looked at a bunch of sweetfx presets and they all looked overly done or, just completely altering the look of the game to make the intended atmosphere go away, which kind of begs the question of why you're playing the game to begin with, y'know? I want to play Far Cry 2 not, Far Cry 2 that looks like 3 or 5, its all a bit odd. Do send it over though, I'll give it a look.
