some ideas for the next far cry 1. don't make the protagonist mute 2. more interesting and cunning villain like vaas 3. story with personal stakes for the player 4. bring back healing animations
7. Bring back animations of looting and gathering. And their variations. 8. Adjust the places capable of hooking the grapple. 9. Make slight recoil shaking of head while firing heavy guns like the cod mw did. 10. Much bigger open world and map to explore more. 11. Secret locations, most houses can be entered, rare loots, more people and locality. 12. Vast shopping opportunity unlike watch dogs 2, random items in different shops. 13. Upgrade of clothing outfits like assasin's creed, house upgrade (unlike FC4)
I liked Far cry 5’s open world but the story was awful. The fact that your character just didn’t speak made it just awkward and the ending was terrible. Far cry 3 is much better imo
Yeah I agree, but I think the missions were better in FC5. FC3, is my favorite, but after repalying them all, all the missions feel like a bunch of quicktime events and there's a lot of moments where you're just walking around all drugged out without a gun. Exploring the open world in FC3 was way more fun then the main story quest line.
Nick930 Yeah Ik what you mean, the missions were pretty good, but the story as a whole was just meh.. and the characters were a bit boring.. compared to Vas (one of the greatest villains in gaming imo) and the story Jason looking for his brother felt meaningful

Dark Comet I get what you’re saying but You can’t just say because it worked well in one totally different game then it worked in far cry 5. It was probably well done in that game, but I just found in far cry it was awkward when Joseph is killing people and threatening people and you to make a decision and you’re just awkwardly staring at him. Again that’s just my opinion anyway
The one thing that makes Far Cry really stand out to me was the fact that it felt like an 80s action movie. That feeling is completely absent in Far Cry 5 because of their approach to realism

Yeah and in both 3 and 4 it was personal and made you feel attached even primal made it feel noble but in 5 the whole mood was lost to me it just doesnt feel like far cry
As someone who lives in Montana, I can say the scenery is spot on when it comes to environments especially when walking through the forests of the Jacob region, all the way the random rusty junk in the back of some abandoned logging factory.
It's not only 2018 vs 2012 ; but also it's 7.8 GB vs 50 GB .... Farcry3 offers such details just in 7.8 GB and also runs well in low specs pc !.... And for me imagining myself to be in 2012 ; FC3 was a Masterpiece ( technology upgrades so thus games ; FC5 May be good in terms of graphics & gameplay but in 2012 when i 1st time played FC3 , It had given me goosebumps & at the end of the story I felt completely empty as if " The game is end & Jason;his friends left the island ; now what will I do :( " ....
test far cry 2 has the best shadows and best physic+ gun sounds and details. And the best fire, only the story is not very good. And yes this is a big problem with the GB and i know from experts it is not because games today are more complex it is because of money
U should must play fc 2 cause the game is ahead of its time. Fc 2 has a lot of realistic features. And a lot of healing animations. Check out it's gameplay it also has jeeps and bike. It is set in Africa the only problem is the game does not have many animals.....
Have you played farcry 3 blood dragon it's the dlc of farcry 3 it is the best game in the series. And the most crazy thing is the games has dragons and all the animals in farcry 3 . And the protoganist is cool and voice acting is also great :D
That might be the case. But the reason it appears this way in Far Cry 3 is not because of realism. It's because the FOV in that game is broken. There's other anomalies like when holding a flaming arrow in your bow, the flame effect is off center from the tip of the arrow.
FC5 looks a lot better, but for 6 years difference? Not really, FC3 still looks impressive visually even today. Gaming industry has definitely has not improved much in 6 years. Sad times.

Nah I hated it, game felt insulting, cluttered and same old same old same old with a some of steps back in forms of technical prowess. Felt like a fast food game at best, felt completely insulting and for the braindead. It was so poorly put together, literally have no hype or care for 6 now. FC needs a reboot desperately.
FC5 and FC3 are both great, they each have their pros and cons. I'm playing FC3 rn, I'm gonna play FC5 after FC4, can't wait Edit: Finished All of them i listed. As I said, they each have their pros and cons
Whoops forgot, FC3's Cons are well you can't use a sidearm inside a vehicle, it's not running great on PC, Pros are its story is probably the best in the series, it has a good sum of content, Jason is also a good protagonist. FC4's Pros are that its story which is great and pagan is a great villain but not as Good compared to Vaas. Ajay is alright but he has nothing on Jason. The Final Pro is that you can use side arms in the car. Cons are its practically the exact same gameplay as Far Cry 3 only differences is how Ajay runs and how he can fly a mini chopper. FC5, this is my favourite Far Cry game so ill try to be unbiased here, It has a great story with the antagonist Joseph seed being on par with Pagan Min, the gameplay is also good and is a bit different and the customization is the best in the series. Cons are, Rook well he is customizable but he is mute, the explosion effect isn't as good as 3, the endings, you actually cannot win
Far Cry 3 made me dream of far away islands in the middle of nowhere, jungles, lost temples, ancient tribes, exotic animals. I really felt like I was on that island not on the map.
Those who think far cry 5 is better never played far cry 3. It was emotionally attached to me when I killed vass. If someone erases my brain memory I will love to play that game again.
Far Cry 3 is MUCH better than fat cry 5. Far Cry 5 is garbage. Bad storyline, AWFUL gameplay, EMPTY map, low enemy density and no knife takedowns and also too realistic graphics
Farcry 2 is by far my favorite, I enjoyed 3 a lot and 4 was meh, and I think 5 was the most meh. Primal at least tried something new which is the whole point of being called Farcry, and Blood Dragon is a close second because, well just play it and you'll understand

Far Cry 5 is one of the best looking games I've ever played, plus, it's the only Far Cry I truly loved & completed 100%. Everything was just so good in FC5.
The worst thing is the change from crafting to a perk system, hunting and such are still fun and rewarding but not as much as the crafting system, still Far Cry 5 is a great FC game
Far Cry 3 is a great game, I agree. But nobody mentioned Far Cry 1, which disappointed me a little, that game was a trademark for graphics, it looked awesome at the time. But it is underrated as Medal of Honor series.
FC3 was the last good FC in entire series. Everything after 3, was literally copy>paste, repetive games, and i wonder how Ubisoft keep re-producing same pasted assets every 2 years.I guess due to blindfolded sheeps keeps making ubi rich.
I own every far cry game and I'll say farcry 5 has a better world tho the story is terrible in which far cry 3 has a good story and not as good world so it's both people's choice

For me far cry 4 is my favourite as it was my first ps4 game I ever got and played. Playing far cry 3, 4 and primal now on the PC. Ubisoft know how to make pretty games

Far Cry 3 had personal stakes and better villains i mean the father seems more of a cocky dick thats simply annoying while Vaas gave off a feeling of insanity and unpredictability that both made him hateable and fearable. Vass from 3 is a masterpiece while The father is an embarrassment.
FC3 has crisp but Ugly paraboloid reflections on it’s water, whereas FC5 has rid of That system entirely and switched to the combo of Screenspace Reflections and now for the first time in the series, fully tessellated water.

Yes it is the best. I installed it to my laptop to test it, sadly I played on low settings it still lagged but still I had fun. The setting, the intro, weapons, location, sounds. I loved it, they did a great job.
if someone ask me which game is my favourite.. then my answer will be name of the game which i love to play and not which one looks better... Far Cry 3 have everything... great story, good graphic, perfect gameplay, Jason Brody who can talk :D and nice map..... Far Cry 5 have bad graphic because its looking good bud its worse for your eyes, if you are playing you always see the darkest and brightnes point at same time on screen (that contrast is destroying your eyes) more options, dead end story, more cars and FISHING!!!. Far Cry 3 is winner for me... fck graphics i love story... dont you ever wanted to play something what you was played few years back, if you wanted then you know what im talking about... about good games... i will bet with you that after few years later nobody will talking about fc5 like talking about fc3 right now... peace :P

I enjoyed some bits in Far cry 5 but I wished that your character could speak but Far cry 3 is well better more enjoyable yeah the story isn’t great but their are some great moments still
*6* *Year* *Old* *Game* More detailed and aesthetically pleasing visuals that hold up today and add to the story since your character is on many psychedelics which are known to distort perception of color if in your system. Like it had such a good sense of purpose for an action game and is seriously still one of the best open world formulas used by decent games like Horizon zero dawn to this day. Like seriously it's the CoD: 4 or MW2 of open world games, fast and fun with a formula used by everyone but with a story that makes some kind of sense unlike the modern day reskins. Watch Far Cry 6 have celebrity cameos, thats when you know it is headed the cod way and I was right lmao. *2* *MONTH* *OLD* *GAME* Almost identical graphics which only have improved lighting and identical enemy movement and type as FC3, seriously watch combat in the game side by side: The drugged out angels are literally reskinned versions of the acid trip enemies from the past games and the light, normal, heavy, and elite enemies have the exact same movement as FC3 and especially FC4 with literally more simplistic and generic acting and look enemies that have shit AI. The game was fun but not in one single original or better way, the only truly amazing thing was the flying but when you look at other aaa games such as just cause 3 or bf1 it looks fucking pathetic and it's genuinely sad because Far Cry used to be one of the few good Ubisoft titles but naw now they are the absolute worst. This is not true. The main character that you play as in far cry 3 was forgettable and annoying with laughable results when killing someone. Most forgettable character ever. Second Vaas, though I liked him because we really have never seen character so crazy and different before in a game does not mean he is the best character to this day. We barely got a backstory and to really connect with him. Really the problem I see with this whole thing is that people trash far cry 5 for far cry 3 just because it’s far cry 3. Same issue is with treyarch zombies and infinity ward zombies. Far cry 5 has a better villain and actually giving back story. I cringed and felt uneasy when he told the story of him killing his child. That’s character progression and who you’re dealing with. Compared to vaas... what? A couple laughs at his craziness. That’s not back story. Far cry 5 advanced on what made far cry 3 great. How can we not cherish the idea that it advanced on its core gameplay. Don’t get me wrong it does things wrong, but both games are excellent. Just far cry 5 does things better. And a lot of the issues people are talking about in far cry 5 is the same thing that happens to all far cry’s. The eventually get boring hence. Then you go back and play it again and enjoy.
alot of people forgot about the original far cry :P but in far cry 3 what i liked most was exploring and the ship wrecks one thing i had love with in the original far cry is the enivorment setting with those old ww2 bunkers and wrecks wich came back with far cry 3 in far cry 5 when exploring it feels more empty in the enivorment idea there are more events but not really much fun in the exploring luckly they brought a bit back of the fun of exploring in new dawn forests are fun to explore but not in far cry 5 and every spot has enemys a bit to much of my taste you clear them out and 2 mins later same situations respawned also the main vilian in far cry 3 was just the best i do feel like they trying to bring someone like vaas back in far cry 5 (talking about john) but they failed at it there is also a point of it in game where you find the exact same torturing as in far cry 3 it could have been a copy and paste or maybe a easter egg.
So basically if you combined the world and ai physics of farcry 2 and noises from all of the games for whatever sounds real and combined some of farcry 4s effects and mashed and swapped it around with farcry 5 to make a amazing farcry 6 it woukd be the best game ever
I am a little put out. When I saw the word comparison I was hoping for a full comparison, not just focused on the graphics. I agree that what you said would make Far Cry 5 a better game, but that is not the only factor put in to making a game, there is story, characters, if the world feels alive since this is an open world sandbox. I did not mind the video, but I wish you went more in depth with your analysis.
