Just testing the SLI performance, I did notice a slight loss of performance (~3 fps) due to the recording - I don't have a 4K capture card...
I had to alter the New Dawn profile to reflect the Far Cry 5 profile to get SLI to work. Nvidia are definitely trying to kill off SLI. They had set the SLI settings to off in the New Dawn profile. How dare we invest only £1000 and not £2000 into their products? :(
SLI compatibility bits (DX10 + DX11):

One last comment believe it or not SLI is the only way to truly completely max out 4K gaming even on an RTX card for example Titan RTX still needs 2 cards to max out Metro Exodus 60 frames 4K extreme settings and it doesn't have SLI so May the force be with you sorry to take up the common section LOL I spent a long time on Far Cry New Dawn trying to fix what I discovered and failed unless you want to use an old driver which also sucks

Something really terrible happened to Far Cry 5 and Far Cry New Dawn for SLI users the performance went to crap after hours of forensic testing I have concluded Far Cry New Dawn if you turn vsync on It cost you 40 frames if you play with v-sync off stays above 60 the whole time 55-57 only for split seconds when enemies appear on the screen but not very often vsync on it won't even make it through the first 3 minutes without it going down the 40 frames

I have a 1050ti 4gb and pentium g4400 its playeable on that bt i get 10 fps

The 1050 Ti is a fair GPU, I use one in a portable gaming computer, I think your Pentium CPU may be causing a "bottleneck" in your performance.

My point is as soon as you turn vsync on the game behaves as if it's only using one card anyone reads this feel free to try it my forensic testing was done on 2 x Titan X Pascal in Far Cry 5 using an old driver 391. 2 4 I was able to get 5K with an invincible indestructible 60 frame phalanx never dropping even if you lit the whole Forest on fire with a flamethrower it's still performed flawlessly then RTX driver started coming out and the SLI went to crap and this crap followed into the new dawn game very terrible

That's a very bad SLI performance. I also have problems with SLI on this game. Even on two 1080 Ti's it's not playable at 60 FPS on 4K. That's very bad considering that this is an AAA game. No wonder that many people don't want to pay for video games.

You are very right I blame Ubisoft their games never work properly ever there is other games out there where SLI is like having the hand of God but there is other times where it's your worst nightmare

@@theslayerdog7669 I think Nvidia might be swaying the game studios to remove the SLI support for money. Same thing recently happened with Anthem.

@@kamikazedan1241 you are very right as well however that is not the case with anthem there is a legitimate SLI profile in the driver it should work unfortunately Anthem was released before it was done thanks to EA also know even if you have RTX cards you still won't have SLI with them neither which is terrible spend that much money on two cards and you still don't get it cuz a lot of people with cards like that like to use DSR and try for 8K super sampled even with RTX cards you still can't do that

@@kamikazedan1241 but one game they really did do that with was Battlefield 5 which had SLI before the game even officially came out in the current driver at that time then they made it so you can't use that driver with the SLI profile and play Battlefield it says You must upgrade to the newest driver which did not have an SLI profile I phoned Nvidia over this and just lost it on them they deny doing it however I found another way to get SLI working for that game but still
